“I was crazy for a delicious blizzard so I had to make a stop at Dairy Queen! I got their summer special of the Brookie special which is a brownie and cookie with vanilla ice cream! The service was quick and they were very helpful! There's not many seating inside but they had tables outside. It was still too chilly to eat outside so we took ours to go! Otherwise there's a drive thru too!“

“Had the 60/40 burger which was awesome and the fries with it were pretty good. Loved the cheese curds that were served with a berry ketchup which was surprisingly pretty good thought I’d hate it. Great waiter too. Only complaint was no parking. Ended up paying $10 just to park for dinner.“

“I can't say enough about how amazing Francis is! Outstanding food and drinks! They have the BEST Spicy Margarita that I have EVER had! Their drink menu has so many cool and unique cocktails that are different from any I have had before. Then there is the food...I literally think about the Chicken Sandwich daily. My daughter went 3 times the first week they were open, and continues to go weekly! There isn't an item in the menu that I've tried that is anything less than AMAZING! I HIGHLY recommend everyone tries it! You definitely do NOT need to be a vegan to love this food. Trust me, TRY IT! You'll love it and will ABSOLUTELY be back for more!Vegetarian options: The entire menu, including drinks, is vegan. No meat or dairy products, so perfectly suitable for vegetarians!“

“I got the 60/40 burger rare and chicken tenders with a hot dry rub, and it was cooked to my liking. I also got a Moscow Mule, it was okay, but nothing to write home about.Parking: There's a free parking lot but it doesn't have a lot of stalls. I had to park 2 blocks away and walk over. It wasn't a big deal but it would be less than ideal in the winter.“

“The OG Jucy Lucy spot (controversial to the 5-8 club). The burger itself is quite tasty, but nothing mind blowing as such. No frills, just simple good tasting burger, but the patty did have a rubbery texture, especially around the edges. The atmosphere is old school with bar and booth style seating. I could imagine myself grabbing a beer and burger after a long days work. Service can be better but I don’t blame them since they’re trying to maintain the heritage.Cash only, ATM inside.“

“Extremely friendly atmosphere and staff. Our server, Jackson, has the best personality. Being our first visit, he explained the ingredients and recommended to try different sauces which were great. We asked to speak with his manager and Danny was just as kind. It’s nice to see a manager supporting his team with pride.“

“It is so hard to find a good restaurant these days. In this way, Burger Dive saved our life! Everything we ordered tasted great! Service was great! We don't need to try other restaurants anymore (often we just get bad luck/disappointment from other places ), we just need to come here every week! Yay~“

“Phenomenal little joint! Was at a work conference and 3 of us went here for lunch all 3 days...menu is THAT packed with interesting offerings...and it's literally 20 feet from the train stop. The armadillo eggs were the best thing any of us ate all week. The sunnies (fried SUNFISH?! ) and fries were excellent but the steak and chimichurri sandwich was absolutely stellar! The birthday cake slice in a milkshake was spot on and had REAL whipped cream all over it. Burgers were a hit too!“

“Just tried this place for the first time. Fun atmosphere, great service, great wine selection, and some of the best food I have had at a restaurant in a long while. The baby back ribs and the Five Spice Tofu were particularly good. Loved it!“

“Came here on a whim while we were walking around downtown Minneapolis. The service here is wonderful and shoutout to our waitress for being so awesome! It's a traditional style pub and walking in, we felt the chill and cool vibe and atmosphere. Plenty of seating around as well. We ordered the following: Soy garlic edamame: 8/10 - it was really good and salty from the soy! The edamame beans were steamed perfectly and provided that crisp pop when you bit into one. We would taste the garlic as well and it was very pleasant on the tongue. Mac and cheese: 8/10: I thought it would be the traditional noodles but it was penne style instead. It was rich, cheesy, creamy, and the pasta cooked al dente. It came with a toasted, buttered baguette slice. It was enough to feed two people and my coworker and I shared it. It was insanely good but I prefer the regular style mac and cheese noodles. To me, this was like a step above your average mac and cheese. Mexican corn dip - 9/10: do yourself a favor and get this as your appetizer! It tasted exactly like a warm elote! The flavors were outstanding and the added lime was the chef's kiss. it comes with fresh tortilla corn chips and when you first get a taste of the dip, you taste the richness of the Cotija cheese, and then follows the sweet corn and tangy lime juice and tajin. Then you end up with the slight spicy kick at the end. We all came to the consensus that this was our favorite item of the day! We finished every corn kernel. My other coworkers had a steak salad with blue cheese dressing and a slow roasted pull pork with tater tots. They both enjoyed their food as well. Prices were good for the portion size as well and our drinks were refilled and we were checked on regularly. Come try this place out! You won't be disappointment!“

“Amazing neighborhood hidden gem! Met the owner Javier, such an amazing man - the restaurants food was outstanding, service was outstanding! I definitely recommend the steak tacos w/avocado salsa -so good!Such friendly and nice staff- I accidentally left a small bag when leaving (there’s so much food and such huge portions couldn’t carry it all) and they literally ran out the door and all the way down the parking lot to catch me before leaving- and then they were so kind and polite about it while making sure I had everything! Completely recommend 10/10 !! If you go definitely meet the owner- you won’t be disappointed, one of the kindest and sweetest people I’ve met since moving back to Minneapolis! Our family will be back very often!“

They have vegetarian options that have an intricate balance of flavors. The staff are all extremely helpful and welcoming.I had the ultimate sandwich and my wife had the loaded tots! “While visiting the twin cities, we wanted to get something sweet for the afternoon. Upon looking at reviews, we decided to stop by Conny's. The variety of flavors they had for soft serve was surprising. We got the coffee and the vanilla cone with the coconut dip. I would recommend the flavored cones over the dip personally, but they are both very good. About average on price but this place had a steady flow of customers on one of the first nicer days of the year.“

“Flameburger was a surprising experience!Full disclosure..I am a food snob! Although I've passed this place more times than I can possibly count (It's right on Central Avenue) the external tired appearance, and my own internal thoughts of what Flameburger could possibly be, dissuaded my desire to ever go.I'm issuing a PUBLIC APOLOGY and a direct apology to Jim (the love of my life) for the past 12 years of missed opportunities. He brought it up as an option early on. I'm guessing I was less than kind about our possible attendance. We stopped in once, and to my relief they were closed..He never pushed it. I'm admittedly difficult.Well..I WAS WRONG!!Note to self, follow your own advice and never judge a book by it's cover!!Flameburger was incredible!Everything was spot on! Perfect Burgers(grilled onions to die for), amazing fish, the best onion rings I've ever had. Crinkle cut fries (which I usually frown upon) were deep fried in some sort of magic! I'm not even a fried food big fan,but exceptions were made and everything was exceptional.Even the soda was pretty old school delicious! The atmosphere...at first, old, tired, I hate booths, but we made do..After a little bit, I felt all the vintagy kitschy goodness of days gone by. And it was clean!! This is huge, it was super clean. No lingering odors of oil and the smell of the flames and fresh burger meat were on point!I always thought it was a counter service fast food type place, so I was pleasantly surprised to sit and have an actual menu in hand and a real live Server.Wonderful Jessie came and took our order (with an pen and pad!). Not ordering from an app at the table is definitely becoming something I'm becoming to appreciate. Once again, old school for the win!I love to see who is involved! Watching John flip burgers in flames taller than me on the flame grill, work the fryers and land all of our food exactly timed perfectly was art!!The price point was still affordable and based on what was on our plates, definitely a better bet than most places. We'll definitely be going back as I was distracted and forgot to order a malt and a milkshake to go..I'm guessing they will match all of the rest of the goodness..And who knew!!! Breakfast is a big thing here. Yes, we'll have to make it a destination spot for breakfast one day soon!!Soooo, if you already knew, you knew. I hope that I'm outing a possibly well kept secret. For all of my fellow foodies, put down your phones and ordering apps, get out of your food halls and pretentious hand crafted nonsense, skip your bougie happy hour over inflated $14 appetizers matched with your $14 cocktails and don't miss the opportunity to go to Flameburger! You won't regret it!!“

“Not many people, pretty calm. Had the fish tacos, which were not very flavorful, but I ordered a lot of stuff off of it. Fried pickles were good. Pop was not very carbonated, but obviously it didn't take away from the experience. Probably wouldn't go again, but that's just me.“

“My bestie and I came for a late night dinner on Saturday night. Wanted a beer (or a few), good eats, and cardboard crack (pull-tabs). When we arrived karaoke was just starting so that was entertaining to watch. Amanda was our waitress. She's friendly, upbeat, and she even sang karaoke. Food was yummy as always. Wings come out so hot and crispy. We always ask for the fries extra crispy and they come out perfect. If you want good food, highly suggested coming here. Fun little neighborhood dive bar.“

“Came here for an afternoon of bowling and food. The bowling itself was an old-fashioned experience, with no automated score keeping systems. I appreciated the authenticity, although one thing to note: when you bowl a strike, the pins don’t come back so you have to hit the reset button. Wasn’t common knowledge because we witnessed other groups getting waitstaff attention due to the issue.. putting up a sign that explains the process would likely help future customers, and save time for the staff having to explain..The place definitely has charm, although I was concerned about cleanliness. It’s dingy, musty, & doesn’t seem to have been cleaned in years.. at least where we ate (the bowling alley downstairs). Walls in the bar downstairs are covered in dollar bills which is fun but also just.. unsanitary. Who knows how long they’ve been there, collecting dust/debris and grease. Brought hand sanitizer luckily.A member of our group used the bathroom and said they wouldn’t have used it if it wasn’t an emergency.. so, there’s that. With all of that said, I’d still come back for the food, just upstairs or takeout. Their burgers and bar snack food were wonderful! Especially the fries and cheese curds. And the service friendly and attentive. Overall a good experience.Parking: Sunday afternoon had plenty of free street parking.“

“This place is nicely tucked away, so it doesn't get overly busy, but they do offer reservations still if you need them, so that's always a plus. The food was pretty good, although the menu is limited. My favorite dish was the wings even though the burger is the star of the menu. Even though the menu is limited, they do a great job with all the eats they offer. On the other hand, the drink menu was extensive and unique, and I really enjoyed the variety of "classy" cocktails. All of that pairs very nicely with the "upstate NYC/hipster" vibes of the restaurant. I've been here twice, and the service was a little bit on the slower side, so I am taking a way a star for that. Other than that, this is a cute place to have drinks and a light meal. First date or relaxing happy hour vibes are met here!“

“I've been a patron of Uncle Franky's since before it became Uncle Franky's and Uncle Franky’s never fails to make me happy! My top picks are the Philly (with white cheese) and the Italian Beef, with either fries, rings, or tots; that decision I make on the spot. I've had many other items on the menu, and everything is consistently delicious, served promptly and piping hot, and all is reasonably priced. Uncle Franky's is simply irresistible!“

“I had to try it, and mean most places do not offer donuts with a meal -- chicken sandwiches or burgers. I ordered The PAT (a steak burger) with fries and a shake. Pretty good. You can order and pay from the counter or via your phone. Atmosphere is nothing special. I guess the only problem I had is the cost. $25 for a burger, fries and simple shake seems high, but maybe that's just the way things are these days.“

“First Time visitor. I Went for the Band & stayed until the very End. Seating was scarce initially, but eventually found a table. Service was Slow, had to change drink request a number of times as they did not have basic specific liquores such as Fireball or Rumchata. ?♀️ Did not order any Food. I would go again for the Right Band. ?“

“Always enjoy the juicy chicken tenders from Nashville Coop. First time visiting their food truck since 2020. Still as good as I remember with the same quality as their brick and mortar locations. All kinds of spicy levels are covered here so it’s something everyone can enjoy. So far I’ve tried MN Nice, Mini Coop, Coop, and Growlin’, all solid choices depending on my mood. The Texas toast, dipping sauce, fries, and pickles all elevate the chicken tenders.“

“I had never been to MyBurger before, so I swung by for lunch and grabbed their "Burger of the Month" with some of their house garlic dip and was blown away by the flavor and service. Not only is the food fantastic, but this location is meticulously maintained, clean and the staff is SO nice! Rose and Koda in particular were the individuals that I interacted with and they made my experience so wonderful that I am sitting here writing a review on my second day in a row of stopping by for lunch. “Had a good breakfast here after an event at the Earle Brown Center. I'm a pancake lover and theirs are really good. They're not the light fluffy kind, they're more dense and really delicious. Huge, served hot, and have a nice hint of vanilla. My only gripe is no real maple syrup, even for an extra cost, and the only alternative to the fake stuff is diner-grade strawberry jam or grape jelly. Lots of nice whipped butter tho :)Other diners at my table liked the French toast, eggs & toast and the American fries. They really know how to do eggs, I'd come back and try an omelet or one of the specials.Vegetarian options: Substitutions are not allowed so you might be SOL if you want something without the meat. For the pancakes or French toast you can choose between bacon or eggs on the side.“

“I enjoyed my dining experience here. There was an approximately 10 minute wait to be seated. We sat at the bar. I liked the seats because we could see the food coming out of the kitchen and the hustle and bustle of the wait staff right in front of us. My order was correct and the food was hot and tasted great. The pancakes are HUGE! Though I do not eat gluten, my date said his pancakes had a lot of blueberries and the taste was great! I gave 4 stars for atmosphere because it was noisy and music was playing overhead. If you are looking for a quiet place, this is not it. The staff was attentive and kind. I highly recommend this restaurant ?“

“Came to Char Bar for the first time for happy hour on Saturday with Kim T. Char Bar is a speakeasy on the inside of Butcher & Boar (through the glass doors). We arrived around 4:45 pm on a Saturday and it wasn't too crazy busy, we were one of a handful of tables. The hour menu was pretty good! A good amount of food and drink items ranging between $6-10. I had the Chicken Sammy ($10), Kim had an Arby's style 3 Way Beef & Cheese sando ($17), and we split the Curly Fries ($6). I also ordered two of the non happy hour burgers to go ($8/each). I really liked my sandwich a lot, chicken was perfectly crispy, the slaw was savory and sweet, Polynesian vibes. I would absolutely get it again! Kim liked her sandwich but she said the sauce was too much and soaked the bottom of the bun, the curly fries were fine. I had a dragon tattoo cocktail, serenity pineapple rum cocktail, and a frozen rum & cherry coke slushy. Drinks were boozy but pricey! Loved the menu showing the drinks very cute and visibly pleasing. Update: Butcher Burger ($8) was sensational! It's no Parlour Bar burger but it's sooo good, tasted gourmet and traveled well. Fun fact: the restaurant group over Parlour Bar also owns Char Bar! I liked the pickled onions and the chipotle mayo cheese sauce, good solid burger for a good price!“

“Best burger I have had in a long time! Service was great and atmosphere was amazing. My first Juicy Lucy and it was fantastic, first time anyone ever got the meat cooked right.Only reason for the 4 star is that the Bun came out cold. “2024.04.20.Stopped by this weekend for brunch. Not sure how they are making it here as the place is pretty empty for brunch.Went with the chicken chilaquiles this time, hadn't had it before. Doll had the classic with a johnny cake on the side. I was surprised by how tender the chicken in the chilaquiles was, not dried out day old chicken. Perfect ancho seasoning with cotija cheese. Crispy chips and two eggs, really good. Doll loved her classic brunch and the johnny cake.Thank you Mr. Boemer, for your time today. Colleen and I enjoyed chatting with you. You have created a wonderful chain of restaurants and we enjoy visiting them. Today we came in for brunch, doll requested the BLTE as it was no longer on the menu, they obliged! I went for the brisket, potatoes and an egg. Both very tasty. The only thing I would say is that the brisket was slightly dry and chewy. Tasted great. And I appreciate that you took a few minutes to chat with us.“
