“We ate at the Afton House Inn Fine Dining, Dining Room. The staff is courteous and friendly. They were helpful and so kind. We just loved our server, Phillipe! The blackened Mahi Mahi was s bit dry, but we were told they may try a new recipe on the menu to remedy that so do ask if they have a new addition to try. Steak Diane is always good and something we have been back for numerous times! The green beans and potatoes were cooked to perfection as well! It was the perfect birthday celebration for my husband and a wonderful place to relax after the holiday. The festive decorations were still up so it looked so beautiful.“

For us that have never visited his bar before, he was sure to let us know up front this is a cash only establishment. It is nice to know so we do. No kitchen but there's a popcorn machine and you can bring your own food in if you'd like. Live Music here is absolutely electric depending on who is playing. “We have shot at Royal golf club many times and the staff and venue are incredible. We highly recommend them to host your wedding! The outdoor space is beautiful and by the lakeside and the indoor space is updated and modern with bright white walls and large stunning windows overlooking the course. The food is outstanding and the space is perfect for hosting your wedding“

“Always a fun time, and most of the food is good. But don’t waste your money on the kids meal Mac and cheese. It’s literally Kraft. I was pretty disappointed with paying almost $10 for something I could get for a dollar at the store. It came with a juice box and that was it.“

“We recently got married (October 2024) and Lake Elmo Inn catererd our wedding. It was absolutely AMAZING! We had the prime rib carving station and the walleye as well as the duck soup and salad. Our guests are still talking about the food. We decided to upgrade to the "LEI Experience" which means each of your guests get a warm hand towel, an intermezzo sorbet, and a chocolate covered strawberry!!! We were over the moon with the service on the night of the wedding and all our communication with LEI throughout the process. Special shoutout to Kayla G. who was the most patient, professional, and kind event manager! She answered every single one of my (many) questions and she did so with a smile! On the night of the wedding, we were SO impressed with how fast the servers were able to get to each of our guest tables and keep the flow going. It was seamless, seriously. We cannot recommend Lake Elmo Inn Catering enough. They've total pro's and just know that you'll be in good hands. “I had the apple salad with a salmon and the fish tacos. The fish tacos were ok but there were only a few nuggets of fish in it. There was also very little vegetable in it. Overall, $15 for two tacos that are just ok, I wasn't impressed. Additionally, the salad was good but the salmon was burnt. Overall, not worth the $26 I was charged for the salad.

Parking: Easy to find a handful of vegetarian options. Has corn and wheat tortillas interchangeable. Excellent tamales with mole.“

“Carmines was wonderful! They had nice, attentive staff. The food was delicious, and the portions were HUGE. We went on a Friday and they had live music which was very nice. It had an arcade in the back for the kiddos, too!

Parking: They had handicapped parking but it is located too far from the door.

“Haven’t been indoor dining much since the pandemic but on an impulse stopped in to Chili’s in WDBY. Had the best server, Sarah, with the “pink” in her hair. She was so helpful, fun and patient. Even when we were confused when paying our bill and miscalculated the tip. She was kind and gracious the whole time and a great server. On our way home we realized we seriously made a big error in the tip. Something we will rectify on our next visit. The food was great. The restaurant was cozy. However Sarah made the visit wonderful! Sarah I hope you see this review!!!“

“We went here for drinks on a Sunday afternoon. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The drinks were good. The prices are a little high but that was expected. The view from our table was awesome!
Parking in Stillwater to get to the rooftop is horrible.

Parking: Stillwater is very busy on a weekend. There is a few public lots but they fill up quickly. There is street parking but that fills up also. There is a parking garage about 4 blocks away for a fee.“
