New American Restaurants near Wayzata, MN

“It was our first time here. After being seated in the bar, we were brought housemade chips and seasoned sour cream. Delicious. We thought it was just a nice touch they provided until we closed out and were charged for them. At that point we didn't want to make a big deal about it so we just left. Not a great practice if by design and if the bartending made a mistake she should have caught at some point. Also, left a note in advance in the app with my Open Table reservation that we're coming in on and for our anniversary. Not one mention of it the entire evening. We didn't expect anything but why ask if it's a special occasion in the app if the establishment isn't going to do anything with the information? Bartender made very good craft cocktails. Great HH.“

“Love this gem of a spot in Wayzata - brunch was delicious - my Gruyère & mushroom omelette was yummy & hot when it arrived to me. I chose to add a little hollandaise sauce on the side which I highly recommend. Our group also shared the banana & strawberry toast with peanut butter and cocoa nibs & it was delish! Great service too & not too noisy - we cld hear each other talk which was an extra perk!“

“Ryan was the absolute best server that I have encountered in my life! I have an anaphylaxis food allergy. He was so on top of making sure that whatever I ordered wasn't going to be an issue. He checked with the head chef 3 different times about different entrees, so I could have the best experience. We are from out of town and will definitely be back due to the great service provided. Ryan, thank you so much for being so attentive in regards to my allergy. Tonight's experience made your restaurant, one I will always recommend.“

“Great service. For the most part my food was good, I had a special request about taking out a certain ingredient and it didn't happen. A bit noisy for a conversation. Overall it is a good place to eat. We have been there several times.“

“Our first time here. Our server was amazing and the food came out fast and was good. Our only complaint was how rude and condescending one of the hostess was. Sydney was extremely rude multiple times to me and my mom. I was more upset of how she talked to my mom. Her name was Sydney and we were not the only one she was rude to. It was a shame since the rest of our time was a 10/10.“

“Food was very good. My mom got the shrimp lemon and chicken pasta which was FANTASTIC 10/10 on that. My dad got the pot roast stroganoff which was also fantastic another 10/10. I got the prime rib French dip which the sandwich was fantastic, however the au jus was very bland which was disappointing. The tater tots were awesome. Would definitely eat here again!!“

“In Fargo, service is not great. i had one bite of my meal and told waiter he could take it. He never asked why, if anything was wrong, just grabbed it and walked away. I wasn't expecting anything other than for him to know why my meal was not hardly touched. He never came back to table until he brought us the bill.“

“We are regular diners at Primo. We always enjoy ourselves. Good service great food. Last night we had out of town guests celebrating a birthday. The food was terrific. The service was horrible! I asked for Parmesan cheese almost from the moment I sat down, it never came with the bread it never came with appetizers. It never came with salad finally after a few bites of entrée she came by with about a half ounce piece for the table. My wife asked for water refills, maybe 45 times. It was about as un attentive of Service as we've had anywhere in a long long time. My wife asked for a glass of ice we were there for almost 2 hours. She never got the glass of ice if that's an indicator of how poured the service was.“

“I've driven by this place at least 100+ times in the past year. I always thought it was Brazilian Steakhouse or something, but saw than I saw on google it was more classical pub food and decided to stop by on lunch to get a burger and it was better than expected. The Bar area is kind of small, has an overall "Diner" feel to it, with an open view of the kitchen. Overall the food was good, the wedge fries were good, same with the burger sauce.“

“Honestly our experience couldn't have been better. We arrived early and were offered complimentary Prosecco while we waited. A small thing, but a nice touch. Old fashioned was a 10. Food was inventive, aesthetic and cooked to perfection. Server was attentive and informed. Really nice job to all involved!“

“Well, let's see. I thought it was going to be like a sit-down, relax restaurant. Take your time. Might take a little while for your food to come out. Our server, Ashley, was nice. Quick to come take our order, quick to offer a refill when the beverage ran out. Our meals came out so quickly, though. It felt like not even 20 minutes went by after we placed the order and BAM meals arrive. They must've read my order incorrectly. I said no bleu cheese and it came out with bleu cheese. They brought it back and then like 20 minutes later, brought me a new plate. It looked like they just scraped the side dishes from the original plate to the new plate. They were cold where the extra butter I ordered didn't even melt. The waffle fries on my wife's plate, in my opinion, were cold or old. Wife said they were fine. Service was great! Ashley provided a little discount since they messed up my order. Food on the other hand, felt more like a quick service restaurant versus a sit-down, relax restaurant. No offers for dessert. I didn't even see a dessert menu or on the main menu. This really wasn't the best experience, but not the worst experience. I only recommend Clive's because Ashley was so quick and friendly. For the rest, no I would NOT recommend Clive's.“
