“Such a treat! My kiddo had a day off of school, so we went as a special lunch. It was busy, but the owner Macy and her staff did an excellent job letting everyone know what to expect in terms of wait time for tables and food. And it was so worth the short wait!!! The Bananas Foster was decadent without being too sweet. The eggs Benedict was a super fun twist on a classic dish. We would order both again and plan to be back to try others!“

“Wonderful spot close to Mississippi Market in St. Paul. There is a beautiful small park (when weather permits) to sit outside. The building itself is old and very Swedish even though the history of Swede Hollow is long-past, lots of "hygge" inside (yes I know it's Danish but they did own the country, kinda). A few tables downstairs, one cozy one on the mezzanine, 6-7 upstairs and a neat "conference room" with a very comfy cozy reading armchair. Coffee really good (Americano, Cubano), great selection, had a studenty-feel, but we are close to MSU. The food looked very good. One of my new favourite "Third Places"“

“Thank you for making my day! Today is my birthday and my hubby went to get my favorite treat(The House Made Chocolate Cake) at the Stillwater location, but they were closed. Then those little angels inside saw him lingering at the door and after he told them his dilemma they gave him TWO slices to save the day! “Key's doesn't just have incredible food but they make fantastic cakes. Their chocolate house cake it to die for. They did an incredible job matching the invitation and theme for my sister-in-law's baby shower cake! The spinach salad with warm bacon dressing it one of my favorites.“

“This is a great place. The owners are cool and fun to talk to. The baked goods are very high quality and affordable. A lot of other bakeries have stuff that tastes like bland butter mixed with sugar but this place has very good flavor. Not too sweet, high quality ingredients. They also sell food such as sambusas, ful and tibbs which are fresh and tasty! The coffee is good too“

Perhaps what I was feeling was the beautiful sunny Sunday morning that greeted everybody in a nice way, or maybe it was just the thought of everyone with similar values enjoying a meal together in the same place. Either way, I had a delightful and slow-paced Sunday morning breakfast at Seward Café. With 27 menu items that are either vegan or can be made vegan upon request (all clearly labeled), you won’t have a hard time finding something enjoyable to eat like I did. “Just moved to the neighborhood and this place is incredible. The folks are super friendly and everything has been delicious. The first time we went, we sat in the dining room and they have a back room with a table of billardettes. It was super cool to see folks playing and learn how it works. My partner is Eritrean and the Awaze Tibbs and a veggie platter were a smash hit. Since then, we've had cheese steaks and espresso drinks. Both were delicious. They roast their own coffee beans and even sold us some. We are also looking forward to the upcoming Eritrean community events they have advertised. Only critique is the bathroom could use some love. It doubles as a storage closet/shower full of cleaning supplies.“

Their coffee was kind of mid, but I thought the breakfast sandwich I had was pretty good. Overall, a decent stop if you are at the clinic and need a pick me up.“
