“I’ve been coming here for my green Thai curry for over 10 years. If you like spicy food definitely make sure to ask because they spice for the whites. But the flavors, service and overall experience here is unmatched. The interior is beautiful and everything on the menu has a delightfully fresh taste of high quality.“

“I haven’t been here in person but have been ordering food from here about once a week for the last few months. Thai is my absolute favorite food and I order it once a week as a treat. I’ve tried just about every Thai place that on uber eats for my locations. Lanna’s is the best consistently!! Thank you Lanna Thai for being a bright spot in my week“

“Myself and my fiancé are from Northern Minnesota and were there in July of last year. There were a couple of minor issues with our visit that day, but the food was delightful. Our server suggested that the manager may want to speak with me in regard to our experience, given the nature of the issues that occurred, so I left my business card and honestly forgot about it, as it wasn't that big of a deal to me. Some time later I received a letter at my office from the manager (I found out later that she's actually the owner.) She sent me a check to refund the cost of our meal, along with a very nice note of explanation and apology. The refund was way above and beyond what was necessary or expected. She took full responsibility for the issues that we had experienced at her establishment that day in July. She also asked for another opportunity to serve us the next time that we were in the area. This was a very classy (but unexpected) response to what I would consider to be something that wasn't that big of a deal to me, but it clearly was to her. Given the high standards that she clearly demonstrated for her establishment, there was no doubt that I would honor her request for a second opportunity. This last Saturday we were finally in town again and were able to visit the Basil Café for a second time. We had an absolutely delightful experience in every regard! After our meal, I asked the pleasant young lady that was checking on us if the manager happened to be in on a Saturday. Well, that turned out to be her! Her name is Tiffany, and she is the owner of the Basil Café. I introduced myself to her and she not only remembered the letter that she had sent and the small issues that occurred on our previous visit, but she also remembered my full name from memory!!! We had a very nice conversation and she sent us home with some extra spring rolls that we enjoyed at home later that evening. Tiffany, I also run a business, and the way that you treated us and handled that situation is an impressive lesson in customer service and leadership. You didn't just recover us as customers, you created 2 raving fans of your business through your actions and demeanor along with your wonderful cuisine. You easily could have brushed off the initial experience that we had last year. And, while we weren't upset about it, we likely wouldn't have thought to ever return to your establishment if you had. Instead, you held yourself and your wonderful restaurant to a higher standard, and you made 2 raving fans that will return again and again and will recommend your establishment at every opportunity. Tiffany, thank you for a wonderful dining experience and thank you for a refreshing attitude and demonstration of personal responsibility that you so impressively gave. That level of service and attention to detail is rare in our world today. BTW, the Drunken Noodles are delicious and so are the Spring rolls. We will see you again soon. - Jake & E.“

“I've been meaning to try for the last year and finally stopped by and had lunch. Ordered the Samosa and the Pumpkin curry and vietnamese coffee. All were really delicious. I will definitely be back.
Vegetarian options: There were several dishes that could be made vegetarian as you can choose your protein.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes. It is wheelchair friendly, but I wasn't able to check the bathroom situation.“

“Great place as a no frills Thai restaurant. Unbeatable prices and portions. Flavor and texture were on point for their pad Thai and drunken noodles. Their peach smoothie was delicious too. Service is definitely not their strong point, but wasn't expecting it from a hole in the wall restaurant.“

“We had Thai Street Market cater an event for us this past weekend and it was amazing! They were gracious enough to allow us to pick up the food a little before opening time and had everything meticulously ready. I loved sharing your amazing food with all my people!“

“I like eating some of the foods in their menu. Some foods tastes good. However, I wouldn't go there for pho, but I would go there for cooked dishes that's served on plates, because those taste better than the pho's. They have good customer service over there when I went.“

“Delicious food! I went for lunch with a group of 3. I got the spicy fish, which was lightly breaded in a delicious sauce and I loved it. The others got pad Thai (the best version I’ve tried) and Tom Kah Gai (which I wanted to bathe in). I would love to go back again.“

“Went here on a Friday night date with my partner and we were the only people sitting down to eat there. Strange because this place is so lit!! It's so yummy and the service was so quick. We had thai tea, chicken satay, edamame, panang chicken curry, and mango sticky rice. All of the food was perfect - actually seasoned and fresh!!! The staff is like family vibes and it's a very comfy environment. They have cute plants everywhere and it's very clean. Please don't miss out on this place and their food!“

“the whole experience of hot pot was great! parking was a bit hard and I wish the plates were smaller to fit all foods on the table. I love the sauces, one is spicy/ savory and one is acidic/sweet. great amount of meat! the owner suggest the tricolor so it was good as well. would definitely come back!“

“Went in on a Monday at around 1pm for a pick up order and the seating area was packed. Like, no seats. Love trying new spots and did a Google search for best Thai in the Twin Cities. To my surprise found Karen Thai which I've seen 10,000 times getting gas on Larpenture on my way home from work. Tucked between a gas station and a Subway - it hadn't caught my eye as a spot to stop for lunch.
So today I happily swung in during a sudden rain storm - but thankfully had placed my to go order before leaving work. Quick order time, under 15 minutes. I was in and out, polite and fast.
I have to say, I've been missing out all these years and this is my new favorite spot.
Here's what I got-
Veggie Fried rice for my picky son @ a level 3 spice (not spicy in my opinion, was actually sweet) 9/10. A lot of veggies, not a fan of the tomatoes but that's a taste preference. Flavor was on point and the rice was just the right consistency. Tons of onion, just my style!
The Pad Se Ew level 4 spice (Spicy! Much more elevated than 3, and I almost did 5!) 12/10. Phenomenal. Noodles were just the right texture - not overdone, sauce was full of spice and Thai flavor cooked down to the perfect color and consistency. Just enough crunch to the veggies and let's not forget to mention the thinly sliced chicken that absorbed the sauce perfectly. Not too chicken-y chicken, if you get me? I'm weird about chicken - so I was pleasantly surprised but even more so impressed.
If you haven't, go. I can't wait to order again. Boat noodles are next!
Vegetarian options: Tofu and vegetable options! Variety of veggies, not frozen peas and carrots.“

“It has been years since my wife and I have dined in at DC2. The hype after its first opening seems to have died down. Usually when asked about DC2's food, folks seem to have mixed reviews. So because we were around in the area yesterday, we decided to give it a try to see what has changed. The menu seems about the same, with a few less items. The biggest change is the prices, which definitely is dollars more than it use to. Understanding with economy/inflation, pricing up is eventually going to happen. But is it worth really spending about $5-$10 on dishes where you can go a few blocks over to Hmong Village for cheaper? We ordered the combination pad thai (big noodles), papaya salad (Thai med spicy), and hli xiab (fried pork with tamarind sauce). I was always a big fan of the pad thai sauce from DC2, which seems to be the same as I remember it. However, the noodles are a bit thicker, like chow fun noodles. It was soft, feels homemade, and paired very well with the sauce & meats. The papaya salad was not overly sauced, and tasted very fresh. It had just the right amount of spiciness, sweetness, and sourness for both my wife and I. The hli xiab was a dish we have not tried before, and did very much enjoy. You pick a choice of meat which is stir fried with a sweet tamarind sauce accompanied with bell peppers and onions. There is an option to add spiciness, which we did do. We chose pork which was first fried, then cooked with the sauce and veggies. If you love sweet like in orange chicken, then this is the dish for you!The service was great, much better then I remember it. We were seated immediately, and the waiter was attentive. They also have a call system button now which you can click to ask for something or add things too.Overall, I was very impressed with DC2 and will come again. To go back on my question, I would rather spend few more dollars here then go to Hmong Village.“

“Went to eat here with my Mom. We wanted pho but they only have 1 kind which is beef, green onions, and cilantro. Comes with a plate of bean sprouts, lime, and jalapeño like most restaurants do. Broth is sweet which is to my liking.
Spring roll is not really to our taste but they tried their best to accommodate us. Types of spring rolls are regular but all noodles replaced by veggies and other type is noodles with avacado only. We asked to replace avacado with shrimp but it seems still lots of veggies and only a little amount of noddles. My guess is that the veggies are better for health than noodles.“
