“We really enjoyed our beverages and the outdoor seating! The service was fantastic- fast and organized. We loved that you could order food from nearby restaurants in the Chesterfield Hub right from the Narwhal’s ordering platform.“

“Natalya T was our server, and did an excellent job . She was very friendly , and anticipated what we would need. Excellent!“

“The wide variety of tasty margaritas will definitely keep us coming back! The food was good, but nothing particularly memorable. The service was friendly and attentive, although we agree with other reviews that the restaurant is SO LOUD and seems chaotic at times. You could barely hear the person next to you, but also was 5pm on a Friday so we understand. If an upbeat environment is more your vibe, this is definitely the place for you! Overall, we highly recommend Oaxaca for more of a fun happy hour option.“

“Tony and family always make you feel like family. From his table side presence and his beautiful mother leading an amazing team in the kitchen. Anthony our server was great and knowledgeable of all the dishes. We started with the calamari and fried spinach and a perfectly spiced marinara sauce. We each had the separate salads I had the Italian chop salad, and my girl had the Caprese salad both were absolutely amazing. I had the Benedetto's Farfalle with spicy pink sauce and added shrimp 🤌we also had the perfectly cooked and breaded Chicken Spiedini served over risotto. Timing is everything when you have multiple dishes everything was perfectly prepared.. 🤌🤌🤌🍷“

“Probably the best experience at a restaurant we’ve ever had. Ethan, the waiter, was personable, accommodating, and friendly! Food was exceptional as well!“

“Such a fun little local bar with the best vibe. Cheap drinks, great atmosphere, and everyone is super friendly so it’s easy to feel comfortable right away. The jukebox and pool table make it a perfect hangout spot. Sam Shull is awesome on Thursdays, and the bartenders Carly and Kristen are always on top of it. One of my favorite places to go with friends!“

“My only comment for improvement is regarding the unfriendly hostess on August 14.“

“We recently tried The Mexican Barrel House, and it absolutely exceeded expectations! I love that they put a creative twist on traditional Mexican dishes — everything felt fresh, unique, and thoughtfully prepared while still keeping those classic flavors we all crave. The food was delicious from start to finish. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and every dish was beautifully presented. And the margaritas? So good! Perfectly balanced, refreshing, and definitely worth ordering (maybe even a second 😉). The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated — warm, inviting, and full of character. It creates such a fun and comfortable atmosphere that makes you want to sit, relax, and enjoy the experience. The service was just as impressive — friendly, attentive, and welcoming without being overbearing. It made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for Mexican food with a fun, modern twist, gorgeous ambiance, and amazing margaritas, The Mexican Barrel House is a must-try. We’ll definitely be back! 🌮🍹“
