“Love the food, owner and everything. It is a great place and would highly recommend. However, I would recommend against using the online order feature. Everytime I travel I come here, however my last visit I tried to order one more time before leaving. My flight was earlier than expected I attempted to cancel well before my meal was even made and I was charged the full amount. I tried to contact through email and Instagram and no response. Maybe this was just a one off in terms of customer service. I still love the place but was disappointed after a month no one contacted me back nor gave a refund.“

“I tried Britt’s Bakehouse for the first time this weekend and I was pleasantly surprised! I am gluten and dairy free so it is a challenge to find delicious baked goods. I tried multiple items and I could not tell they were gluten free! My favorite treats were the dairy free mini chocolate Bundt cakes, and pumpkin donuts. They were moist and full of flavor! I shared with my husband and he had no idea it was gluten and dairy free! The donuts were like personals cakes! The lemon truffle was also amazing! I can’t wait to go back and try more gluten and dairy free desserts!“

“I’ve been coming here for meals for about a year and a half now and I keep coming back! The meals are portioned well with calorie ranges that fit if you’re trying to lose weight or maintain. They always taste fresh and I’ve only had a couple that I ended up throwing out because I didn’t like the taste but everything else has been fantastic. My suggestion is to try heating some of the meals up in the air fryer instead of the microwave - the breaded chicken ones are so much better that way!“

“Their online ordering site says they have curbside pickup and I parked out front where several signs indicate the number to text for curbside pickup. The response received indicated their pick up staff have been cut and I should come in to get my order. I would not have ordered had I known curbside pickup was unavailable. I called and told a staff member I couldn't come in and requested a refund. She asked me what type car I had and said she would send the order out. It took more than 15 minutes and a second phone call before they brought it out. (Another car pulled up during this time and received curbside delivery while I still waited.)“

“Bring back the roasted tomato tarte! The best item on the menu for me was the Roasted Tomato Tarte that I enjoyed on numerous occasions. It was even highlighted on their menu as a favorite. So I scheduled a lunch with family and looked forward to the Roasted Tomato Tarte again today. BUT IT IS NO LONGER ON THE MENU!!! Bummer! I asked for the recipe and they said they would send it. I sure hope they will and also restore it to the menu.“

“It is my daughter’s 16th birthday today and we made a reservation at their sister restaurant Bristol’s awhile back. It’s her favorite place to go because of the fried cauliflower. We got a call today and they had a fire so they couldn’t open but graciously made us a reservation at j Gilbert’s. My son got sick so I had to stay home but they called me and said they made her the fried cauliflower that she loves at Bristol’s tonight at j Gilbert’s!! “We reserved the big room for a family party of 24. Our servers, Rachel and Harrison did a fabulous job! They were patient (we're a loud bunch!), checked on us without being a nuisance, and accommodated some late-comers with adding onto the end of one of the big tables. The food was fresh, delicious and brought out hot (not lukewarm)! Some of our party even ordered dessert! Xavier did a great job of bussing the table and grabbing extra drinks, etc. Considering how many people we had, I felt like it was a good deal price-wise as well.

“Ok, here’s the thing… I love food. And when I say I love food, you might think I’m a huge person or a food critic or a chef or just a dramatic fan. Well, I am actually an artist, and I… I can tell you in no uncertain terms, that the food we received was *high art.* I don’t mean the kind of pretentious high art food that is served in tiny portions and so beautiful that you almost don’t want to eat it. I mean that it was masterfully created—flavorful, textured to perfection, filling, and lamentable *only* in that I wish I’d had room for more. We started with the stuffed mushroom appetizer—which I’ll admit is not usually my favorite, but my wife generally loves—served upon a sprinkle of arugula and a slashed drizzle of balsamic glaze. Imma tell ya… I like stuffed mushrooms now. My wife ordered an entrée of eggplant Parmesan—one that she doesn’t care to make often for herself only because (and I’m quoting), “It’s a pain in the a$$ to cook.” I ordered linguine Pomodoro with added shrimp and had the steamed mussels appetizer served with my entrée, so that I could add them in (as I *do* love a tutto mare). Since my wife’s entrée was one of her favorites, and I don’t generally care for it, I left her to it, concentrating on my own. I shucked all the mussels and strained their accompanying shallots and bacon into my linguine leaving the garlic and cilantro pesto behind for bread dipping. OH [*clap*clap*clap*]—I forgot to mention the bread. They served a fantastic mini loaf of the softest bread topped with caramelized onions alongside fresh grated Parmesan in olive oil. Upon our finishing it off, I asked for a second helping. Back to the entrée… My first actual bite was of the mussels, and that bite was fantastic. Then I had one of the shrimp… and… here’s the thing… I am a poet, and I also write children’s books, so when I tell you that I simply do not have a superlative sufficient to describe the shrimp, you know I’m being serious. It was warm, seasoned, and snappy as shrimp should be, but it gave me pause—as Anton Ego in Ratatouille. * First, doubt—that I had experienced something so specifically wonderful before * Then, a quick scan from childhood to now for confirmation * And lastly, the comfort that can only come from those happiest memories of childhood—Christmas mornings on receiving more than you could ever have hoped for, Halloween nights’ preparations for what giggles and terrors were to come, and burrito-you ensconced in soft blankets straight from the dryer Then of course, the rest of the dish, twirled and slurped—not too quickly… every bite a confirmation and yet still a revelation. Here again, my only lament that I must see a portion of it boxed to leave room for dessert. And… dessert. Oh, boy… Seeing all of the items, my wife and I—in celebration of our 26th anniversary—decided on the sampler. Listen up, folks: flourless chocolate torta, crème custard napoleon, and gooey butter cake. JFC are you serious? Every bite more sumptuous—more scrumptious than the last. Every bit a reassurance that I will return. Our server, Chelsea, was commendable not only for her menu knowledge and sense of humor, but it’s not for nothing that she was absolutely on top of it with regard to my tea refills (which were many, as our dinner took place after a dehydratingly-busy workday for me). We will definitely be returning to Eleven Eleven, whereupon I intend to try a few different items, my palate then flooded with new sensations—new wonders… my only lament that I will not ever have that “first time experience” again.“

“I had the buffalo chicken, mac n cheese and green beans and it was surprisingly very good. Not that I thought it would be bad but sometimes meals that take sodium into account tend to be under seasoned and bland. This was not the case. It was cooked well and flavorful.“

El Chico was so easy to work with, so kind, and so helpful. We already knew their baked goods were delicious (we always stop for some cookies at the Tower Grove Farmer's Market), but our guests raved about the empanadas. “Our party enjoyed our evening, with fresh fish and lots of side dishes to choose from. Although the food was tasty, we had to wait a long time to get each course. And a drink that was ordered by one of our party didn't come with the other drinks, and it was at least 20 minutes later before we were told that that drink was no longer available. The replacement drink took another 15 minutes. We didn't have this issue when we had dined there two other times in the past year.“
