“I came across this cute little bistro that serves vegan food while wandering around old town Saint Charles. It just so happens that I decided to go vegan for Lent this year. And I really do miss foods that I was able to eat before. I got the lavender latte, chocolate chunk cookie, almond croissant, French onion soup, and the savory chicken crepe. Everything came out to about $37 (which in my opinion, is expensive but most quality vegan food is.) I think the young lady who took my order was also the chef. She’s very personable and had some really good recommendations. I recommend this bistro if you like good vegan food!“

“Been going for years since their original food truck.

Always good food and service, can be a little wait sometimes for food and wish there were more gluten free and soy free options(reason for 4 stars for food) but overall it’s nice to go, lots of overall options for vegan food. You won’t be disappointed.

They’re slowly growing and adding more options when it comes to food, drinks, their house made vegan ranch is good also which I believe they still sell by the bottle but you’ll have to confirm with them.

“First time visit today (12apr2024), out of state visitors for the day (IL), happen to be in the area. Ordered togo: Chicken Shawarma plate Beef Kafka plate Chicken Shawarma Sandwich Humus with Chicken Shawarma 4 extra peta and 2 garlic sauce While waiting, the place had a nice feel, music, etc. After a small amount of time we were offered Coffee. To those that dont know with these style of coffee it can be bitter to the normal pallet. This is a mix of coffee and tea I believe was told at this location. My SO, which was their first time trying this, is not a fan. Having tried some out of state (MI) before, it was little better than I have have in the past. VERY Hot in temp, so you will want to let cool some. The ChkShawm sandwich was good, SO didnt like as much but I enjoyed it. We both enjoyed the rest of the order, so much that my SO over eat some and was hurting. It was tempting to do the same. The Chicken was very good and juicy, not dried out like once place we tried few months ago. Rice was very good, the one plate's rice might have needed just a bit more cook time as a very small amount was still a bit al dente. Glad we ordered the extra garlic sauce as it didnt come with any of the other plates. I didnt look or ask if that was normal, some places do, others dont and we end up emptying out any garlic sauce we get anyways from places like these.We always order extra garlic and petas. We dont get over to this area much and next chance may be in 6 month or a year from now but will have this marked s a fav to revisit when in the area again! Totally plan to order from here again without a doubt!“

“The Crossing Restaurant did a remarkable job the other evening when we dined there. We had impeccable service and outstanding food. I loved being able to do the four course meal with some of the specials. It was wonderful to see the dining room full in this well-established restaurant in the heart of Clayton. “I go to the Shack at least once a month. I was there recently and received excellent food and service. Jennifer was great server, nothing was too much trouble. She helped move all of our coats and bags in order to change our seats. She was cheerful and helpful. I bring my out-of-town guests here often. The menu includes healthy,creative, delicious entrees, and as well as gluten free options.“

“The food is absolutely delicious! The burgers are huge and delicious, and quite well cooked. The barbecue sauce was tangy and delicious with the Gateway Burger. I was looking forward to trying the onion rings, but ended up not having room after the burger!

Some reviews have mentioned the service - the servers are not overenthusiastic in their greetings as other restaurants, but the service is damn good. They have a very subtle style of attentiveness, not always asking if you need something but noticing when you do, keeping an eye on you. They check in at the exact points - when the food hits the table, after two bites, and when your plate is just about done. There were two servers today and they were both multitasking and on top of all their tables, and their demeanor just happens to be more casual comfort. Definitely wouldn’t dock them any service points. If you do tend to prefer more enthusiastic service, it might not be the best match, but theirs is still a service style that will get you what you need.

“City Coffee House & Creperie is a great place to escape, the vibe is that of a hidden cafe. The food is always great, I love their lemon curd crepe, opted for the waffle this time to celebrate National Pancake Day (a waffle is just a pancake with cups to hold the syrup I’ve been told). You cannot go wrong with any selection on the board. Fresh ingredients and great staff!!“

Their fresh food, juices, and eclectic menu makes it so you can always try something new. They have specialties each month, and I suggest you go before the end of February and try their barbacoa chilaquiles breakfast bowl!! Today I had the morning meditation juice and the barbacoa chilaquiles breakfast bowl. The breakfast bowl was a party in my mouth! The braised beef barbacoa mixed with the eggs, beans, and other seasonings. My friend opted for the Italian Inspired omelet. You can put a reservation in online prior to arrival on busy days (like Saturday). The wait was not long this morning, and the food makes the wait worth it. One thing I like about Fresh Watch is the continuity across the chain in that regardless of which restaurant you choose the food is always good and fresh. Great service. Stop in and check them out…try something new!“

“Had resv for 4:00 on a Sat, got there at 3:25 asked to sit at table to get drinks, told we could, then someone else said no since r resv wasn’t until 4:00. Said we could sit at bar but all tables in bar were taken! Freezing cold inside, put 7 of us at a table that would hold 10-12 people had to scoot down to other end to try and get warm. Food finally arrived way later than those around us! No one in the rest. hardly but we couldn’t sit at a table till 4:00. Not very friendly about it! Food not impressed with! “I ordered online and it was simple and the food was prepared faster than the estimated time. The size of the calzone is pretty big and would have been my whole meal for the day (might even have some leftovers).

I got Meet Me In St Louie and the food itself had good flavour although a little bit salty in my opinion. It was tasty but I don't think I can eat the entire thing in one sitting.

There's plenty of seating available at this location and the service was not too bad. The area gets pretty busy though so I assume the place would get packed during lunch and dinner rush.“

“I was introduced to Cate Zone quinine during the pandemic (so take-away). It was my first time having the ‘hot crispy fish’ and I now dream about that fish. (To put that into perspective, i rarely choose fish, or have cravings for it.)
I have since invited friends for dining in pick-up orders. Yes, the inside is small and the prices have jumped. For me though, this restaurant is worth returning to. I prepare in advance if i need to wait. I am glad to see so many people ordering.
I don’t order often because of the rising prices, but it just makes it a treat now when i can go.“
