The owner and lead bartender were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the wine selection and the house Margarita is in a lane of its own. It's plenty of seating and atmosphere is a vibe. There blueberry red wine will also see me again. Love! Love! Love! Can't wait to go back!“
“Our first visit to Alton, IL and my wife and I found State Street Market. The food is fantastic, Erin served us and her recommendations were spot on for our tastes. We both had the BLT and Avocado sandwich. The portions were very generous. Took some asparagus and mushroom soup home. We live in St Charles, but will visit often. Hope we see you soon, Erin.“
“I absolutely love Vino. the venue is always friendly and welcoming. They offer indoor seating with couches as well as tables. AND a sidewalk patio that has heaters for when the weather cools. And the drink selections do not disappoint. Although their name implies wine, they have a full bar replete with whatever spirit you prefer. I have not eaten any food yet, but I'm sure that is awesome as well.“
“Service was so friendly and efficient! You order and pay at the cashier and then someone brings your food to the table. The ambiance was fine. It's basically a wine shop with a row of tables. Great for a casual lunch. There is a display of sardine cans and such above the kitchen -- very cute! I had the prosciutto sandwich. It was delicious!“
“The food was excellent. Very well seasoned. The service was spectacular. And each course came out in an expeditious amount of time, such that I never felt like I was waiting between courses. I had the Paloma cocktail and another one called “Cello.” Both savory and delicious. A very well managed establishment.“
“We were in attendance for Monthly Girlfriend luncheon. Only 1 of us 4 had visited Hendel's in the distant past and she chose the restaurant. You don't see a lot of truly warm and cozy restaurants nestled within the neighborhood that's prospered. The food was good and service was excellent and as we have visited restaurants month after months, it's obvious that cooks aren't same. There is space for indoor & outdoor eating with limited parking. Nice afternoon luncheon experience ?Parking: Free parking in rear where u have a short walk from vehicle into establishment, but if full being that it's sitting in residential area, one can park on side street, no meters, & without inconveniencing residents.Kid-friendliness: Kids were running around where we sat indoors but no one seemed disturbed by their antics ?“
