“We used Kate Smith Soirée for our wedding desserts and we have no regrets! We had a small wedding cake for us, and cupcakes for the rest of the guests. The process from start to finish was amazing, we set up a tasting and were impressed with all of the flavors. It was hard to narrow it down! Once we chose the flavors, we allowed Kate to handle it from there. We were able to rent out the cake stand and cupcake displays which made it very easy to return. She had everything set up the day of the wedding and it was beautiful. Our guests loved the cupcakes! Highly recommend Kate Smith Soirée for your desserts!“

Community minded, they had a bus out front offering free mammograms the last time I stopped by (which is too long ago). “For the first time, I thought the brisket was just "Ok". I have eaten at Jack Stack many times over the last 25-30 years. I had friends in from out of town and took them there last night (95th and Metcalf). I got the 2 Meat Combo, beef burnt ends and brisket. I thought the brisket was sort of "blah". “Walking in, the restaurant was much nicer than I expected. We arrived 30 minutes before closing, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The Don Corleone pizza, loaded with processed meats, wasn't overwhelmingly salty. The Pepperoni Pizza was excellent too. Both had a medium-sized crust with a good crunch. Neither pizza was too oily or doughy. If you enjoy dipping in ranch or adding Parmesan, those are complimentary. When it was time to go, they happily boxed up our leftovers, using aluminum foil to separate the two types of pizza we ordered.“

“Beyond impressed! My boyfriend's favorite dessert is a key lime pie. He has a son that has a gluten and dairy allergy and his one request for his birthday this year was a key lime pie that he could share with his son. That was not an easy task to locate. Even though it is not something they offer on their menu, Mud Pie Bakery was willing to do a special order for a gluten free, dairy free key lime pie and I must say, we were blown away! It was delicious! The crust was delicious, the filling was tangy, and the whipped topping was sweet and balanced everything else out! Not only that, but it looked beautiful! The best part is that my boyfriend's son got to enjoy a sweet treat that the rest of the family was having and that is something that rarely happens, due to his dietary restrictions! “If you're in Overland Park and have a craving for delicious bundt cakes, this cake shop is an absolute must-try. We've had the pleasure of sampling their red velvet and white chocolate raspberry cakes a few times before, and they never disappoint.

This time, we decided to buy a cake for our 3-year-old nephew, and he was absolutely delighted. His exact words were, "You did a great job bringing these cakes!" Hearing that from him was incredibly heartwarming.

Both flavors are incredibly moist and flavorful, with the perfect balance of sweetness. The red velvet is rich and decadent, while the white chocolate raspberry offers a delightful combination of creamy white chocolate and tart raspberry.

“My experience was okay, but not great. When I arrived to pick up my order, no one greeted me. I noticed my smoothie was sitting in the cooler, but it was sticky and leaking from the sides, which got on my hands. It was strange because the smoothie wasn’t even filled to the top, so the mess must have happened while it was being poured up. I had to grab some napkins to clean it off before I could leave. Even then, no one acknowledged me the entire time. There were two other customers in the shop, so maybe that’s why. But overall, the service felt impersonal. Also the smoothie had a few chucks of fruit. It needed about 30 more seconds for it to be smooth. The smoothie did taste delicious.“
