“The food is pretty good but they nickel & dime you. Example, when you order a salad, it comes with not enough dressing & I’m one who does not require or want a lot or extra salad dressing on my salad. But they charge extra for each addition little cup of salad dressing. And after the party I was with left, I ordered takeout for my wife. They said they gave my order to someone in my party, which I know for a fact they did not. When I got home with the order I had to wait for more than twice as long for, they did not put the extra salad dressing I ordered & payed for in my bag. I know I should’ve checked but I trusted them & they failed.“

“I drive past this place a lot and never paid it any attention. My friend and I wanted some frozen drinks and food. When I say this place was a pleasant surprise. From the security to the ladies working at the bar we felt cared for. Even the other patrons were really nice. You can tell they are regulars there and we enjoyed that. The drinks were A1 in taste and buzz level. The only “issue” I had was the menu I read about online wasn’t as extensive. I had my heart set on something I didn’t see in person but that’s not a dealbreaker. They will see us again.“

“I knew the owners of this place. Rose and Tony. My grandma took me down there when I was two. She ran a run down apt complex right next to there. I can’t believe it is still there. Rose and Tony would come to my house for holidays. I will be visiting there soon. It was a nice little dive bar the last time I was there. I worked at the west and cafe. I think rose and Tony were still alive at that point. Like 30 years ago. Love them and I loved this little bar.“

“I was host to approximately 30 to 35 professional people for an evening. The food was unbelievably delicious; and Taylor attended to us flawlessly. She never missed a beat and got it all right. The atmosphere was great in spite of it being a memorial service. There was a second table almost as large as ours, and there was plenty of room to spare. I had shopped around a few places; none of them seemed compatible for my needs. Mitch was the mgr., and he was great as well. He had asked several times how everything was. I had visited the place once more by myself before my return trip home. Great place, great atmosphere, great food, and great service. If you get the chance, go!!“

“Very good Taco Tuesday special. Place looked nice, definitely not dirty with newer furnishings. I could imagine that during an evening with music it might get crowded and look dirty. It was not crowded on a Tuesday lunch. I can recommend the taco special and tater tots and look forward to going back to try the Burger special.“

“I attended a birthday party with about 20 people. Our server did a great job considering we were all scattered around. The food I got was good, I had the traditional wings and a order of fries. Both were hot, although I was disappointed the fries were the coated fries that became popular during COVID. The fries were crispy and seasoned. There were plenty of pool tables and dart boards. The interior was a bit dated and could use some updates especially the mens bathroom. All and all the food was good and the drinks were cold.“

All right, this was a tricky review for me. First, I've been searching for the best burger in St. Louis, and let's be clear, this ain't it.
The second thing, I'm a firm believer against getting burgers from restaurants, but that doesn't mean this burger isn't damn good.
The waitress all but pleaded with me to not bite the burger while the cheese was sizzling. But did I listen? Nah.
As soon as that burger hit the plate in front of me, I picked it up, took the biggest bite I could muster. Then dipped some of the fries into the sizzling cheese.
O.M.P.'s burger.
Absolutely a plus.
