“My Buffalo chicken sandwich was pretty good. My boyfriend had the fish and liked it as well. All was good until we got home with my son’s to go order of boneless teriyaki wings. They hardly had any sauce at all. They were so dry and overcooked he could only eat about three of them. Pretty disappointing.“

“Apparently in Southern Illinois, the "thing" you do is called Jeeping. When my friends Beth and Nathan invited my boyfriend and I to voyage across the river to their hometown to go Jeeping, we were both afraid, then petrified... but when we pulled into the Fountain Inn, we knew we could survive. I LOVE bars like the Fountain Inn. Unpretentious. Made for locals. And a bar where Michelob Ultra is considered a "hoity toity" beer. But the Fountain Inn was far from a dive. While the exterior of the building may look a little worn, the interior was recently renovated and updated. They even had a roomba to sweep the floor! How high tech. The flow of the bar was open and airy with lots of places to sit and enjoy a cold one on a nice warm day. Outside of the Fountain Inn, there's tons of seating. It was easy to keep your distance. There was also a stage set up with a man in overalls playing a little too much Johnny Cash. But I didn't care. It was live music and Nathan kept the $2 Stag beers coming. I didn't mind the drive from Soulard to the Fountain Inn. It made for a really relaxing mini-day trip.“

“Murph has put together a bar that has a great sense of community. Every time I've been here I feel like everyone knows each other but they've also welcomed me into the group. The clientele seems to be pretty diverse and people are just looking to chill out and have a good time.The drinks are reasonably priced and they allow you to bring in food from outside. The fact there is a Dominos next door makes this outside food policy even better.Be sure to look the bar up on Facebook because they often have special events going on. For example tonight they had a pinball tournament going on in the back of the bar and a wrestling trivia night going on in the front.If you're a smoker they have two smoking areas outside, one in the front and one in the back.If you like pinball they have a wonderful collection of machines and they are all .75. These machines are all in excellent condition and you can tell that Murph is a fan of pinball.Parking: Lots of spots. It's a strip mall shared parking lot. I've never had a hard time parking here.Kid-friendliness: Kids are allowed until 730 (or something like that)Wheelchair accessibility: A few tables might need to be pushed over a bit but there should be no major issues getting a wheelchair into the building.“

Last time I was there, my crispers were not as hot as they should have been. They were just kind of warm. I love how much honey chipotle sauce they put on them though. “The place is very open. 5 pool tables, video poker, and I believe I saw a foosball table or two. I got the chicken melt, it was fairly good. Not too bad, something to expect but the side of the lemon pepper butter was very good.I loved the service, the drinks were very cold which is always nice.The outside patio was very unique and wished I sat outside.“

“Quaint dive little bar perfect for space for private parties. Outdoor heated patio fenced in. Decent atmosphere within contains dancing area, jukebox, and pool table. Went to a private party here and was very welcomed despite not realizing we might have crashed what was intended to be private. Idk what happened to my review just noticed it was not as I thought I had left it but crowd was easy to deal with and after avoiding people besides the ones work paid us to deal w for twenty yrs we encountered so many seemingly kinda slow adults were happy to find them friendly welcoming and not annoying. “It was good in every way except the tv was on a violent movie and I kept looking up during bloody scenes. I am sensitive to that so it made the meal less enjoyable for me. I suggest they keep the tv on nicer content. But excellent food and service. I would enjoy it if they salted the chips too.“

“I came with 14 people Monday for lunch. We called in reservations but when we arrived they didnt have it on record. Tables were quickly set up for us. Taylor was our waitress and only waitress waiting tables. She had a constant smile on her face and was so accomodating and patient eventhough she was overwhelmed. She was phenomenal. When you have a nice waitress it makes our lunch enjoyable. Thank you Taylor and keep up the good work.“
