“THEEE best AUTHENTIC Mexican restaurant in Joplin! Their tamales, rice and beans taste just like my abuelita's family recipe! I crave their Carne Asada Tacos Especial's daily! It is a small, local, family owned business and cooks are all family as well. Prices are very low for the amount of excellent, fresh quality of food they make. Lots of options too. Their hours are a little funky, so, just make sure you make it during their business hours: Monday through Saturday 10:30am-7pm! You will nver regret eating your dinner here, a bit early sometimes!“

The HOT delicious food and uplifting gorgeous atmosphere w/ beautiful yellow walls w/ decorations makes this a definite go to. The sincerely friendly service made this a great experience for me. “So I decided I wanted Mexican for supper while in Joplin so Maria's was close to the hotel and had a pretty good rating so I figured I would.give it a try. I go in and was meet by very friendly staff and I had a seat at the bar since I was by my self. I ordered a margarita and started on the chips and salsa. They had spice salsa and plan the spice wasn't spicy ant all but was really good the plan was just blan. The margarita was very weak so I had to get a shot of tequila to add to it. I ordered the fajitas monterrey and they came out steaming! They didn't have the normal fajitas taste to them but were really good. The bacon wrapped jalapeños shrimp stole the show, they were delicious! I will definitely go back next time I'm in town.“
