Amazing food. Best Mexican food in Kansas City. And excellent bar selection and cocktails, more sophisticated and special than your usual cocktail menu.

Sea Capitán Cocina Costera offers a great experience overall. The food has really good flavors, everything is enjoyable, and the ingredients are fresh, flavorful, and plentiful. The drinks are good, cocktails are innovative, and the wine selection is pleasing. Service is great, attentive without being overbearing, friendly, prompt, and efficient. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the ambiance makes it a nice place to sit back and enjoy the meal. The patio is a good spot to sit. The Pozole Verde is excellent, and the agua Chile appetizer was fire. Some dishes, like the enchiladas and tacos grubernador, could use more flavor, and small tortilla plates are surprisingly filling but pricey with no sides. The hardest part is deciding what to eat because everything is so good.
