“The meal was excellent! Appetizers, salad, steaks, and side were all top-notch. The service was great, too. The server even surprised us with a birthday cake for desert, which was unexpected and very thoughtful given that it was my date's birthday.The dining room was somewhat noisy, but otherwise more than adequate.Few dinners were underdressed for the atmosphere, in my opinion, at least. Blue jeans, t-shirts, and ball caps seemed to be out of place for this type of establishment.“

The ribeye this time was amazing. We also got the ribs, which truly fell off the bone. The onion appetizer was great and the rolls are to die for. We even got rolls to go.The only thing is, they are always busy (probably because it's so consistently good). Even during the week, they are pretty full. “My companion and I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience! We started with the escargot in mushroom caps which were absolute perfection. I had the beef tips with mushrooms and they were also cooked to perfection! My companion had a prime sirloin steak that was absolutely huge and he ate the whole thing because he said it was so good! We both had the twice baked potatoes which Charcoal House has always been famous for and they were delicious! The service was excellent, friendly and attentive. We both agreed that we had not had such a lovely dining experience in a long time.“

“Have only been here once, always forget it's here. BUT I loved my steak...the only place I have ever gotten my steak cooked as ordered...it was fabulous. It's been several years since I was there, I really need to go back.Went back recently, was disappointed food was not as good as before, especially the steak. There was a baked potato big enough for more than one person, but I had ordered a baked sweet potato. My daughter said tell them, said no it would take too long and my other food would be cold. So like I said disappointed this time.“
