“I grew up going to Montebello’s. Last night I went back to check it out after many years away. It did not disappoint. The new owners have kept all of the vintage charm but added a brighter, lighter ambiance. The food had all my old favorites, especially the T-Ravs and pizza. There were several new additions that I will try on a return visit. Good job Tanya!”

“One of my all-time favorite restaurants for lunch or pizza take-out. My top picks: little gem salad, toscano or trout sandwich, blueberry lemon soda, and soft pretzel with butter. For dinner, their pepperoni and spinach pizzas are my faves. Their chocolate chip cookies are also amazing!”

“When I was traveling through St Louis, a friend introduced me to this place. The frozen custard is amazing and dare I say heavenly. So soft and creamy. It was a true treat. I love discovering and finding out about those wonderful neighborhood gems. I also liked that they had bench seats along one side of the parking lot underneath the trees for people to sit and contemplate the wonderfulness of life and Ted Dewes custard helps to get you into that space.”

“I’m 78, travelled the world and these are the very best noodles and noodle dishes I have ever had. I doubt I will ever eat ramin or udon ever again. This is not a fancy sit down restaurant, it’s a Japanese noodle restaurant or social bar. The young lady receptionist/waitress was very welcoming and helpful. The cooks are hard working and friendly.
