“Visited again on the 7th, did not disappoint. Went for breakfast they were very busy we were told 25 min. However a place opened at the bar so we got in quicker. Ordered Denver omelet with hashbrown. Got a cinnamon roll to go. Good thing we did because we could not have eaten it as there is always plenty of food. Got to the cinnamon roll on the 9th still so soft and so good. Would recommend 12 out of 10...I can not rave about this restaurant enough. My husband and I were looking for a late breakfast we saw an ad for the Rusty Rooster, went to find they were closing at 12:00 yep we arrived at 12:00. They happily sat us at a table knowing they were closing we offered to come another time. " I was a waitress I know how it is to seat a table at closing". The staff and Manager were all very pleasant and helpful with everything! The food.... oh my the food... so much food... and so delicious!! This is a must if you are anywhere near the strip. They do breakfast thru dinner I believe. I will be back on my next visit to the Lake Of The Ozarks.“

“Nicole at this place is absolutely amazing as a person. She took the time as a person to make sure everything I and my wife needed were taken care of once she knew what her and I were going through with our lives after I explained the purpose for my quick visit.“

“I have had dinner here few times this summer. The food is always good. If they would serve bread, it would be a 5 star. He mussels are delicious, but you really need some bread to go with them. The only bread they have is cornbread that is an additional charge. I’ve never been to a restaurant with no bread available……?“

“Our service was great and the food came out way faster than expected for how busy they were. Their food is always amazing no matter which location we go to. This particular Pappos is much more of a bar setting, with drunk and loud people in a very small space. Great for a night out, not so much for a family dinner with young kids.Parking: Parking is free and located behind the restaurant.“

“Mexican born, this is TOP 5 Mexican spots I have ever been to in my life. TACOS AL PASTOR are the winner. Staff is super friendly and helpful! We always eat here when in Osage Beach. Just as a heads up the restaurant is very tiny with 3 tables inside that seat 4/4/2. If you have a larger party I would recommend takeout or be prepared to sit separately. Gracias por el servicio espectacular! Nos encanta visitar.“

“Had one of the best meals we have had at area restaurants after 2 1/2 years in being in the area. Our waiter, Jace, won our “best ever waiter award”. He Explained all our questions and was correct in what he told us. Have definitely won over new customers!!“

“Let's start with service. From the greeting to the goodbye at the cash register, this place is country friendly and we loved it. Service was solid and watching these ladies apply their craft was like watching a choreographed dance. They must be long-term coworkers to be that fast while working in very close quarters. As a former server, I appreciated watching it. They worked as a team so everyone got their food fast and hot and the cups never went too low. Ambiance: this is a diner with worn finishes but not so worn it's an eyesore. It's comfortable and as the name says, it's cozy. It is the kind of place you would bring your family for breakfast after church. Food: the food was prepared as expected with the added bonus of the eggs being fried perfectly to order. I can't believe how many places have a problem with making over medium eggs. This place isn't one of those. The senior breakfast was a good solid meal that filled me up. My husband's omelette was too big for him to finish it and he left half on the plate, while quite satisfied with the portion he ate. The hash browns are tender on the inside, crunch on the outside, as it should be. They were a little too greasy for me, but the normal level for the region. The toast was well-buttered, a nice surprise coming from an area where there is a movement to only butter when requested. I always forget to ask for it. All in all, it's a solid homestyle meal, nothing fancy, but it's not meant to be. It's definitely worthy of a return. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4“

“The service was really good and our server was very friendly. She answered all of our questions and was so helpful. The food was great!!! Philly Cheesesteak, Cuban, jalapeno corn, queso and chips, and strawberry spinach salad. Not one thing we tried was bad. Would highly recommend!!“

“We visited this spot for brunch on our last day in town, mostly drawn in by the promise of cocktails served in a whole pineapple. I mean, come on, how fun is that? The food here is primarily seafood inspired bar food, but you've got some fun random additions to the menu like crab rangoon, which our table shared as a starter. I had a strawberry mojito in a pineapple, and fish tacos as an entree. First of all the mojito was fine, but if I did it over I'd go for one of their frozen drinks, I think I maybe had too high of hopes and should have stuck with something that they were more known for. The tacos on the other hand were great! The portion was massive, and I definitely enjoyed my meal. Our server was attentive, and we had a great view of the lake. Overall this is a fun place with pretty good food - If I was ever in the Ozarks again I'd definitely consider returning!“

““Luck of the draw” when we chose this restaurant from the Google reviews. My burger was cooked perfectly - medium. The homemade onion rings were exceptional. My husband had the meatloaf special and it was a huge serving. Almost a pound, I would guess. Homemade mashed potatoes, nicely seasoned green beans. My 90 y/o husband ate the whole meal, leaving only a bit of green beans. The staff is so friendly and helpful. This was one of the best eating experiences we have had. And, don’t let me forget to mention the homemade strawberry rhubarb fried pie. Oh my goodness! The perfect ending to a most delicious meal!Thank you Gina, Joe, all the wait staff and Gina’s son, who turned the fan speed down so I didn’t freeze. We are coming back!!!“

“We came in with a group of 8 and got seated right away. I'm not sure if they were short staffed or just were really busy (we couldn't see into the other room). It took a few minutes for them to get us drinks and chips. Some of us had more patience than others. But once we ordered, it was worth the wait. I absolutely judge a Mexican restaurant on their chips and salsa--the salsa was perfectly balanced and the chips were thin and crispy. All the members in our party commented on the chips and salsa. The lunch portions were perfect. My husband and I both ordered enchiladas, and they were delicious! He says the ground beef one was better than the shredded chicken. I had chicken, but the verde sauce was a nice addition on top. All in all, we would eat here again. It was delicious!“

“I really enjoyed my first trip to Papa Chubby’s. Service was terrific ( even with the size of our group). I had the Capone Steak Sandwich which was really tasty. The onion rings were just okay and we also had jalapeño Mac bites for a starter. Again, just okay. I would say the food is very similar to 90% of LOZ lakeside restaurants. I was disappointed they do not serve draft beer but bottled beer only. I prefer draft beer and it seems unusual for an LOZ place to not have draft beer. Relatively easy to find in Crabtree Cove.“

“We come here anytime we go to the Lake because the food is so good we have even come multiple times for just a day just because we were craving it so much. We just stopped by on Sunday April 28th and I do not know who you have cooking at 11ish but omg the food was the best of anytime we have ever been and it has always been good but this time was worth a review. I do not usually like the coleslaw here it taste vinegary and watery but it came with my husands meal and I always have to try it to see if it has changed and it has it was so creamy and good this time that whatever was changed or done do this from now on because it was delicious. The server was pleasant and kept checking in. Everything was hot and delicious. Keep doing whatever it is you did this time because it was fantastic like always but this time had an extra fan in there.Kid-friendliness: My kids love coming here and it is always a plus for us parents when the drink comes with the kida meal. The portions are big and the price is what I would expect to pay for a burger fries and a drink.“

“The place was fine...nothing special about the decor or anything. Their salsa was a bit bland, but our meals were DELICIOUS!!! I do think the prices are on the higher side for Mexican cuisine in the area. Overall, I would recommend to others.“

“Went for breakfast. It's a lot like a Perkins or Denny's. They do breakfast until 2 or 3pm. Our table ordered French toast, pancakes, hash browns, and sausage gravy and a biscuit. One person got a turkey club sandwich and requested crispy bacon, and they actually did it perfectly (and he ALWAYS complains about the bacon not being crispy enough at other places). Everything we ordered was great, hot, quick, and tasty except for the sausage gravy and biscuit. I think they're using canned gravy and it's pretty gross. Also was the only thing that was served less than hot. But other than that one tiny thing, everything was great. Waitress was super friendly and really attentive. Everyone is friendly here, even if you're out of towners. This is the kind of place where everyone seems to know each other in some way, but they didn't make us feel out of place at all. We will definitely stop here again.“

“Beautiful atmosphere and April gave us amazing service. Had the Philly Eggroll appetizer, the classic burger with bacon jam on the side and fries instead of chips, and the new Mahi Mahi Tacos (YUM!) Kudos to the team for the new menu, everything was excellent!“

“We ordered catering from here for our wedding in Eldon. I planned the wedding myself. I didn't want the same boring chicken breast or pork loin with potato dish, green bean and salad that is ubiquitous at weddings and I didn't want to spend $40+ per plate. What I ordered was a package with burnt ends, pulled pork, jalapeno sausage, spoonbread and pit beans (along with buns, onions, plates, utensils, etc). This was less than $15 per plate and delivered to the location for buffet style service. We went to the physical location before hand and tried almost everything, which convinced us it was the right choice for our reception. The burnt ends are amazing, the pulled pork tender and juicy, the jalapeno sausage some of the best I've had. Spoonbread is like a cross between cornbread and corn casserole, absolutely delicious. And the pit beans. I do not tend to like baked beans because they're always sweet. These are meaty and smokey (not sweet) and the only beans that I can actually recall liking. I still get cravings for them. The compliments I got on the reception food just kept coming. People went back for seconds. My friends asked where I got the food from and said they were stuffed. It resulted in there being a significant amount of leftover cake actually. The ordering process was very simple, communication efficient, delivery timely and food excellent. I can't recommend them enough.“

“We went for the food and stayed because of the people!Husband and I wanted pizza while on a road trip to Osage Beach and we found this gem of a place. Our pizza was good, and the staff and other patrons were very friendly. We ended up staying several hours and had so much fun that we went back the next night! We had another amazing pizza and also shared a fantastic bacon cheeseburger.I highly recommend this place. The only caveat is that they do allow smoking, so if that bothers you, just get your food to go.We will definitely be back next time we are in the area. Thanks to Chrissy and the rest of the staff for such good food, drinks and fun!“
“Out of town looking for a grocery store and Hy-Vee was close. Being from Texas, I'd not heard of Hy-Vee and considered going to the nearby Target. I'm so happy I chose to try Hy-Vee!When we walked in we were greeted and asked if we needed help by a nice employee. We decided to explore the store for needed items for upcoming wedding. This store is immaculate and roomy! Aisles were wide and it was easy to locate what we needed due to good signage. On several occasions store employees asked if I needed help finding something. I did ask where the greeting cards were and expertly directed to their placement. The wine, beer and liquor selection was impressive! Specialty food items were provided in addition to generic brands. The fruit selection was fresh. Prices were very reasonable and many items were on sale. We didn't self check, as there were four checkers--and baggers--available. Smooth and quick checkout by a friendly checker. My only suggestion is to come to Texas! We could use a store like Hy-Vee! Well done!I wish I'd have taken pics of the inside to showcase cleanliness and layout. You'll have to try it for yourself. :)“

“Pls note: TAKE OUT ONLY, NO DINE IN.Our food, although not super authentic was for the most part, very good.It seems that the menu is a mixture of creativity, Japanese and Chinese components.Do not go expecting Chinese food that you have eaten elsewhere...this version has it's own spin. The best of our dinner was the Egg Foo Yung...in St. Louis the patties are similar but the gravy is very different. Usually the gravy is dark, rich, and smothers the egg patties. This version of sauce is light, has a curry taste and is a perfect sauce to the foo yung, it was served on the side. The beef lo mein was delicious and the beef slices were tender and very tasty. The cashew chicken was interesting. It was a deep fried chicken patty that was chopped into pieces, covered in a "Springfield" sauce and just a few pieces of toasted cashews. We also ordered the crab rangoon & cold garlic noodles. The noodles are garlicky and totally delicious, my grandson loves them.My favorite is the Walnut shrimp, fried shrimp, w/chunks of pineapple and a light mayonnaise type sauce. All in all, a solid B dinner, we'll be back again soon.“

“AMAZING!!! I've been going for years! Love it, amazing place for family! Tom, the owner, is really friendly not only with you but with staff. I have seen him help the staff multiple times, whether it be letting them use a checkbook if they lost theirs, to help with food when they seem stressed. It's a close nite community, and you can tell they seriously care for each other.Kid-friendliness: Big arcade for kids!“

“My husband and I had a wonderful lunch there today. Food was excellent. I highly recommend the Outback Bloomin Burger. So good! Outback also has the best caesar dressing on their salads, which my husband appreciates. Today, we had the best service from Kaylee. She was so personable and gave us excellent service. We plan to go there again soon. 5 stars across the board!!!“

“When we first walked in, the young lady named Brooke was such a sweetheart. We asked how the wait was and she told us 15 minutes, we said ok that is fine. Well it didn’t even take 5 minutes before we were seated. Now our waitress, Anna, wow!!! She was the sweetest lady. She had explained to us that she had several people call in so they are trying the best to cover everything. The food did not take long and it was so good! We will be coming back next time we are in town.“

“We stopped by because my friend recommended this place. We arrived at 4:01 and they opened at 4 pmWe entered an empty restaurant, and the server said we could sit anywhere we wanted. I replied I'd like to sit on top of the bar. She said anywhere, but there and smiled. We were given drink options, and both decided on sweet tea.The server arrived with drinks, and we ordered. I asked for recommendations and ordered french-uletta, and she said i should try. She recommended Jambalaya for a side, and I said sure!My wife ordered Tasso Alfredo. Her meal came with a salad. The server asked if I wanted my jambalaya when she brought the salad. I said yes, please. The salad and jambalaya were TOP NOTCH!Salad was green and fresh, plus the bread was well butted and toasted to perfection! The jambalaya was pretty spicy if you are not into spice. The food arrived and it was cooked perfectly. The shrimp were flavorful with the Alfredo. The french-uletta was incredible! The server recommended for dessert a gooey butter cake and vanilla ice cream. We loved the dessert it was amazing, and she brought 2 little extra cakes I can't recall the name, complementary. They were tasty.Definitely recommend this place. Halfway into my meal, I knew I wanted to return. Seldom do I find a place I absolutely love and this place is one.Well, one in a million.“

“Nice atmosphere when it's slow, even better when the crowd picks up.Remember that if it's cool and you're going to the pool, the retaining wall blocks the sun for the last bit of the day, so you may not be able to enjoy the pool until sundown. My suggestion, get to the pool early and spend the day there ?Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free buns were available ?“

“This place reminds me what the lake restaurants used to be! A good laid back atmosphere with good service and no douche bags! Now let’s get started with the drinks… YOU WOULDN’T BELIZE IT, fresh pressed drinks and a bunch of their own take on other classics that are mostly nautical themed. Had an appetizer that was also good. The loaded buffalo fries were also great to share with a few friends. They weren’t gourmet by any means but this isn’t a gourmet place. The only thing to make them better is having chicken hand breaded but I am not complaining. Ample amount of chicken and sauce with the fries as well. Definitely a place to check out.“
