“I went here yesterday to try it out, I love an independently owned coffee shop! Fantastic! Great menu with interesting drinks, they do decaf so I got a dulce de leche and it was delicious, not overly sweet. Next time I was to try the Ethiopiacchiato (I think it’s called). Very kind welcoming service. Nicely decorated, great music selection…. Vibes all around. I think I might make it a biweekly work space.“

“We ate at La Belle Vie this morning and were amazed at the portion sizes, how well seasoned everything was and the cook on our food. The coffee was delicious and they even make their own chai which is the best we’ve had at any coffee shop. We make our own and are quite picky and would absolutely order again! We are self proclaimed food snobs who have catered small and large events with everything made from scratch. This is now one of our favorite places and we’re so happy to have found them. The service was friendly and helpful. We met the owners who are absolute gems and their staff exudes the same happy, friendly attitude. Must try. Must go back again and again. “Living Room has THE best coffee and breakfast in St. Louis. But that’s just what gets you in the door. What keeps you coming back are the amazing staff, inviting vibes, excellent work stations (for those of us who wfh but need to have people around), and community engagement. Seriously, they have the best cortados, seasonal drinks, and bacon. But they are also vegetarian and vegan friendly and have a great selection of teas and other drinks for weirdos who don’t drink coffee. I love knowing that visiting LR means my money is going to a family-owned small business who invest in their community and put people over profit. 10/10.“

“Incredible experience tonight for my birthday. We arrived late due to a timing mix-up, but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us without hesitation.
The manager demonstrated exceptional leadership; despite being short-staffed, she managed the front, took orders, and stepped into the kitchen to help cook—all while remaining attentive, sweet, and professional. The food was phenomenal, but the world-class hospitality is what truly set the evening apart. This is a business that clearly values its customers and takes pride in its work. “We order delivery from this place quite frequently at work, and it is TOO GOOD! They have soups, salads, sandwhiches, and desserts. It's perfect for a quick bite to eat for lunch, or for a full meal. The portions are generous regardless of if you get half or full orders. The whole salads are huge, and even the half salads are pretty big. You can do a lot of customization as well. Food is always fresh and very tasty. Love this place!“

I asked for a few suggestions because I was indecisive and he made something new to me from the menu but also described a few of his own creations and next time I’m in I hope he’s there because I will probably just let him make whatever he thinks I may enjoy. He made the top all pretty and I’ve seen this done in photos but never in real life and never my very own coffee. I’m still pretty happy about that.“

There is a small eating area nearby with some tables and chairs. Usually not a crowded spot, so it's a decent place to get a snack - or even lunch, if you want to avoide the Lakeside Cafe.“
