“I used to like coming here but when we got our spaghetti dishes and the pasta texture was coarse and inedible, I was told their pasta is perfect because no one else complained about it. It wasn't the waitress... she was very pleasant... this was the female manager who runs the front of the house who challenged me like that. I didn't argue, just paid our tab and left. That was enough for me to chalk this place off simply because there are better options in Springfield with friendlier managers.“

“My husband and I celebrated our 43rd Anniversary at Char last night. Everything was wonderful, in my opinion!! My steak was cooked as requested since I'm on a low sodium diet. The Char salad was so much better than I expected! Our server, Justin, did over and beyond to make our dinner a great time.“

“I visited for a senior trip past midnight. There were a close to 50 seniors and only 7 staff members, but they did such a great job taking care of our group and making sure we had a fun time! They were also just pretty friendly and super nice when we asked them for things. I would definitely go back again and I highly recommend it! It’s a fantastic party venue! I believe the staff we had were Matty, Shay, Hollis, Wyatt H., Maggie, Mariah, and Matt P. They were absolutely the best!“

“One of my favorite spots! Love their Spicy Ramen its one of my favorites. The cabbage wraps are amazing with the sauce that comes with it. I have also enjoyed their kimbap its my daughters favorite dish as well as she enjoys their ramune! The staff is super kind and friendly. “Had the meatloaf. Will not make that mistake again. It was so soft that a person with no teeth would not have any problem eating it. Wife and son had burgers and granddaughter had chicken strips. Everyone else happy with their food. Granddaughter was upset that they have no Mac and cheese on the menu. Our waiter on the other hand was phenomenal!!!!!!! Our drinks were never empty and even though it was the busy lunch rush when we were there he was very good at keeping tabs on all of his tables. Dinner salad was very good as well.“

“Delicious food and wonderful service! We happened to get Tammy as our server on both our visits to this location and now will request her every time! Besides being friendly and fun, she made helpful recommendations, kept my tea filled without being asked, and even brought a hot order of fries when my husband happened to mention the first order had arrived lukewarm. Looking forward to our next visit!“

“The food was GREAT! My favorite part was the Eel Roll! I HIGHLY recommend it! The prices aren't too bad and the portions are fairly big. The service was GREAT! Every time a waitress passed us they would stop and check on us. The food came to us steaming hot and super quickly. I loved the decorations, as well! The Cherry Blossom Tree in the entry is beautiful!
And, side note: The little Guava Dinner Mints are AMAZING! I would buy those things in bulk! ☺️“

“March 27th - Edit: we tried the filets again tonight and they were amazing! Our server Jennifer was polite and accurate. We noticed the servers tend to work collectively as a team. If there is an empty plate on a table they are walking past, they pick it up. Regardless if it is their table.

Our server Ellie was great. Food had good flavor but the filets and asparagus were extremely greasy and salty. Puddles of grease on our plates.“

“Couldn’t be seated in patio, reserved (says hostess)…. What’s up with that, no one showed up. I went out there after no one showed up there after a couple hours (brunette bartender had no answers, thought I was being rude asking about it being open, so had an attitude, said “well, you can go out there but you won’t have service.” Great attitude, right? Ginger bartender and server Faith made up for it. Those two were great.“

“Arris Pizza catered daughter's wedding. The food and service were amazing! Great options, nice portions, reasonably priced. From our taste testing to the event, it was a very easy process. Friendly owner and chef sat with us during taste testing. They made sure we got exactly what we wanted with personalized touches. They set up, served, and boxed up leftovers. The guests were all complimentary of the food. We did different pastas, salad and breadsticks. Very professional.“
