“No hype here. Just good quality comfort and reliable service. I don't love this type of food on the regular, but for bar food and basics, they do a great job and have a good variety of options. Their pizzas are good, the Italian sandwich delicious, and my favorite are their homemade potato chips. Plus it's easy in, easy out, with spacious booths, perfect for taking my mother-in-law, who needs a little assistance getting around. And wear whatever you want! Oh, and no one side glances you if you (or your partner, in my case) orders a whiskey at lunchtime.“

“Decided to try Christine's today. I'm so glad we did. Chiefs were playing and had just gotten a touchdown as we walked in the door. The house interrupted into cheers and claps. I couldn't resist to bow & wave while thanking everyone for the grand welcome. They all laughed and greeted us with welcoming comments. So much fun. The atmosphere is amazing! I'm sure the game had a role in that, but I loved it. Kevin, our server was excellent. So friendly, attentive, helpful... just wonderful. It was our 36th anniversary and just wanted to find a place with good Bloody Mary's & food. We weren't disappointed. Hubby had a GIGANTIC tenderloin & said it was great. I loved the fried cauliflower and the great BBQ pulled pork sammich. It's a small homey place but those are the best kind of places in my opinion. Also we love that it is fire service related. My husband is a 26 yr firefighter, Captain.“

“1st time back since before 2018. I knew that wasnt the same burger, used to be a well made well seasoned meat. this was a soggy, horribly seasoned frozen patty. If thisbis the "best burger" in KC than the city should be disappointed. Employees were great. Bathrooms, well I should a stepped in there before I ate. I can't imagine the atrocities present in the kitchen that bathroom was a crime scene, maybe they pay off the food inspectors? Should also stop advertising as using McGonigles meat. since they don't exist anymore. will not be returning .“

There are not many places anymore that have a relaxed atmosphere and employees that remember me and treat me like a friend. “The food was great but I wouldn’t come here on an evening of you want good service. My husband and I did a tasting tour near by and wanted something to eat before we headed back to the Air BnB. Immediately you could tell how the experience was going to be when we didn’t order drinks right away and didn’t see our server again for about 15 minutes. She was very obviously more interested in paying more attention to customers that ordered drinks right away. She didn’t give her name otherwise I would I mention here. We only got one water and she didn’t come back to us again. We went to go to the hostess to try to pay our bill, ended up stopping her as she was leaving the bar. I give 2 stars out of 5. That’s only because the food was really good. I don’t think I would come back here. Maybe during the day would be better but I don’t know if I’d come here again anyway.“

I like my wings crispy, and most places don’t make them crispy enough for me even when I ask (no shade, it is what it is). But they always deliver for me at Helen’s! “Cool little old pub in downtown Lee’s Summit. Building materials all seem original giving the place a cool old time feel. The food was delicious with Happy Hour deals making every appetizer $6. I ordered the bones and a pizza, both of which were good. For those that have experienced Pyramid Pizza’s bones, these are good, but not quite at the same level. I would recommend coming here to any friend or family member.“

“A friend and I met for Happy Hour at Lew's the other day, and we had a marvelous time!
Our server was Sara P, who was truly awesome. Despite being the sole server (and bartender!), Sara was friendly, welcoming and efficient. She guided us through the menu (as it was our first time visiting the establishment), gave us great recommendations on menu choices, and checked back with us frequently throughout the meal. She was genuinely interested in ensuring we had a good time, and I really appreciate her!
The food was EXCELLENT--I had the Southwest Egg Rolls and my friend had the Nachos, and both of our meals were delicious! The kitchen did a nice job in preparing them quickly, and the presentation was lovely.
Lew's is a homey, hospitable place; the seating is comfortable, and there's just enough space around the booths, tables, and bar so that we felt cozy without feeling closed-in.
Fabulous food, fast and friendly service, and a welcoming environment--you can bet we'll be back to Lew's soon!“

Thursday night is pizza night at Lucky Boys. We ordered a vodka sauce pizza with cheese, pepperoni, jalapeños, mushrooms, and arugula…YUM! If you go on a night that poutine is on the menu…do NOT miss out because they serve the best poutine fries I’ve ever had! There is a even a pool table here if you enjoy playing pool.
I highly recommend checking out Lucky Boys while exploring in the KC West Bottoms.“

“Good place in brookside, portion size was a little small and the quality wasn't as good as we hoped. The fried chicken was sparse on flavor. The green beans very al dente. The Reuben was good with true pastrami and not prepackage like you get elsewhere but the fries were very bland. Service was a bit slow.“

“Had the cheese fries and they were awesome! Cheese sauce was flavorful (not the same old cheese sauce that others use). The fries stayed crunchy even with the sauce over them. Also had a bacon/cheeseburger that was very flavorful. And of course the giant hot wings. Their homemade blue cheese dipping sauce was very good, not overpowering. Great service even though it got crowded. I Highly recommend!“

“We had our wedding and celebration at The Summit Grill in Lee’s Summit last night. WOW!!! I cannot give this place and their employees enough kudos. Shana, the event coordinator was exceptional and very responsive. The food was so good….everyone raved about how much they loved it. We did an appetizer buffet and chose a veggie tray, spin dip, chicken wings, chicken sliders, cheeseburger sliders and steak street tacos. The two dedicated bartenders we had were the very best! We had the back bar and outdoor area with a fire pit. It was above and beyond what we expected. I give this place the highest recommendation for any event. Also, their happy hour can’t be beat! Thank you Summit Grill for making our wedding celebration phenomenal!“

“HyVee catered my daughter’s wedding this last weekend and the food was phenomenal! The smoked chicken, brisket and all the sides were the best I think I’ve ever had. They also made their wedding cake and cupcakes for guests. So beautiful! They set up, bussed tables, took everything down and packed up leftovers for us. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. “Had some downtime while my vehicle had tire work done next door, so I stopped into Hy-Vee Market Grille for lunch. I was one of 3 people in the restaurant but the waitress was very attentive and took good care to make sure I enjoyed my visit. The burger I ordered was truly delicious - very well-cooked, fresh and juicy. I had ordered tots with it, but she returned to tell me they were out of Tots per the chef - no problem, fries were fine. A few minutes after my burger came, the chef came out with hot tots telling me she had found some.Delightful experience made possible by staff who very obviously take pride in their job. The outside patio is beautiful as well as their smoking section. The serving sizes are filling to say the least. The place of this is right in the middle of wonderful Brookside!! “Went with a group if co-workers as a remembrance get together regarding a co-workers lost in the line duty. The atmosphere of the place was open and friendly. The staff was friendly and very attentive to the needs of our big group. It was a Friday evening and it was very busy. The only issue I had was that I had ordered a drink and in the business of the evening, it got overlooked. Other than that, the food was good, service was good on our other orders and the staff was very friendly. If I were to recommend this place I would definitely tell people to get there early so you are not driving around looking for a parking place

The toppings were fresh, and the combination of flavors was spot on. We also ordered some appetizers, and they were just as tasty—perfectly seasoned and great for sharing.
