Sasha's on Shaw Reviews
I was disappointed in Greek Salad. I was expecting Fresh
Veggies but just got a pre- made heap of the ingredients. I think it was made earlier in day. Service was slow and waiter was not very attentive. The Vodka Tonic was very good. Thanks
I think the atmosphere and wine itself is great, but this facility is SUPER deceiving. I came with a larger group, but when I checked out, the tip being shown seemed low, but the server does not inform you that’s because they’re already adding a 22% tip on your receipt. It is a digital checkout, so they just show you the total, no physical receipt of the purchase breakout. I also received an extra crostini for the app I ordered and without being told, I was charged for this...read full review
We came in with a party of 14. We were seated in a dark back room. We had to use the flashlights on our phones to read the menu. Drink menu is deceiving, I ordered an old fashion and was charged $6 for the drink and $8 for the whiskey. The first drink tasted like orange and simple syrup only, not good. Sasha's on Shaw offers a welcoming dining experience with both indoor and outdoor seating, complemented by a full bar featuring wine, beer, and espresso martinis. Their menu includes a variety of brunch options, such as Nutella and Strawberry crepes, and appetizing starters like artichoke dip. The atmosphere is cozy, especially on the patio, which is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine in nice weather. The restaurant’s vibe is relaxed and inviting, making it a popular spot for casual dining and special occasions. The service is friendly and attentive, with a Nordic server praised for their friendliness and good looks. The cocktails are well-crafted and creative, and the extensive wine list offers something for every taste. Customers appreciate the Margherita flatbread and apple brown sugar crepe, describing them as phenomenal and delicious. The charcuterie plate is also highly recommended for its beauty and adequacy.
However, some guests have noted inconsistencies in service and billing. One reviewer pointed out that a 22% tip is automatically added to the bill without clear communication, and extra charges for items like an additional crostini can be unexpected. Despite these issues, many find the prices reasonable and enjoy the soothing atmosphere for conversation. Overall, Sasha's on Shaw remains a favorite for its diverse menu, cozy ambiance, and friendly staff, making it a versatile choice for both casual outings and special nights out.
