“Lonnie's Reno Club serves up fantastic jazz with great food and a positive vibe. The staff is super friendly, and the food is top-notch. Trust me, you won't find an experience like this anywhere, and Lonnie's talent is unmatched. Definitely worth going – you won't be let down. We have been 4 times and will be back again soon. Every time is such a different experience. I really can't say enough great things about this show, it is my favorite and I have been to a lot of shows :)“

“Torri and Gabriella are both awesome servers! I came in for only a drink or two. These ladies talked me into the Chicken Fried Chicken. That Som'beach was HUGE! And delicious. These ladies got get me grabbing dessert too. Came in for the "Scenic Views" and a Knotty Burnett.... Ended up leaving with a full belly and a big smile. Thank you ladies! I'll be back SOON.“

“We had only been to Rockhille Grilel once before and didn't have a great experience. Buuuut, we decided to give it another try during their Happy Hour. I got their Bruschetta and it was the BEST I've ever eaten and so delightfully plated. Simple, yet classic. Our server, Trevor was EXCELLENT. The Rockhill Grille will DEFINITELY be on our, "regular" list“

“We (Me, wife, and daughter) were there for lunch. My wife and I shared The Pig Flatbread and ordered my daughter fries and chicken tenders. We flatbread was delicious! My daughter normally doesn’t eat anything from a restaurant except fries or bread. We tried the chicken tenders just in case she changed her mind. She tried the chicken along with their housemade ketchup, which she typically rejects sauce, and she loved it. We ordered drinks and they were good too. The chef/owner greeted us at the end which was a nice end to lunch. Our waiter and hostess were great as well. Overall, it was a five star experience!“

“Food was really good. Service was quirky and attentive. My only complaint about anything was the lighting. They have weird blue lights that (see picture) make it difficult to read the menu and see the food. I had to guess a lot about the flavors. This was on the back patio. I'll be back but I'm bringing my glasses next time.“

“In the city's heart lies a gem where cuisine is elevated to art. The restaurant, with its modern, clean lines, exudes confidence and sophistication, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience. Our journey here was remarkable, thanks to the kitchen's inventive use of ingredients, turning each dish into a visually stunning and deliciously surprising masterpiece. The service was another highlight, with attentive staff enhancing our enjoyment and making us feel part of the restaurant's family. A special mention goes to our second night at the Chef's counter, where friendly banter and culinary insights enriched our meal. This isn't just a place to eat; it's where food becomes an experience, blending taste, presentation, and warmth into something unforgettable. If you're looking for a vegetarian meal that will impress and delight, this restaurant is your destination.“

“Absolutely love Brewers Kitchen. Staff is extremely friendly, local beer selection is fantastic and the food is nothing short of amazing. Ive had just about every thing on the menu in the last 6 months of visiting and have never been disappointed. Their house made Honey Mustard is exceptional and wish I could buy gallons of it for back home it's that good. The food really is the star of the show, you can tell nothing is frozen and everything is fresh and made to order. If you want the best burger in KC, you need to come in to Brewers Kitchen.“

“The atmosphere catches your attention right as you come in. Very unique. The staff are really nice, smiling, well informed and attentive. The food is excellent. We had the CA roll which was nicely done. The tartare was very unique. Yummy but a little messy to wrap your own. The cod is one of the best I've ever eaten in KC. That alone will bring me back. We all shared the brownie, crispy outside, gooey in. Warm and yummy. Their wine list is paired very nicely with their menu. Lots of trendy restaurants in KC lately that are just so so, this one is a keeper.Parking: They have their own lot next to their building“

“Best espresso martini and cocktails I've had in KC in a long time. Food and desserts were excellent, and it was so fun to take a cocktail around the art museum after dinner. Our server was so enthusiastic about the history of the place, it really made the experience.“

“The atmosphere is great, the food was amazing, and cocktails were delicious! We ordered four dishes to share between two of us which was filling (they recommend 4 to 5). The food did take longer than expected to come out, but their customer service is unmatched!Dietary restrictions: They ask when you sit down if you have any dietary restrictions. They then mark the menu with which dishes to avoid.“

“We visited Blade & Timber for the first time (None of us had ever thrown an ax before) to celebrate our daughter's 17th birthday. The service was excellent. Food was great. But our coach Winston went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and having the best experience possible! We can't wait for our next visit!!“

“Good Mac and cheese place. We got the BBQ Mac which was of course super good. The BBB Mac which had SO MUCH bacon, it was a bit sweeter but still really good especially with all the bacon. And we got the fried Mac bites. Those were decent. Breading was super good on the and super crispy.Place is small with limited seating. Defiantly designed for the corporate clientele in the area. Self serv kiosk to order and looked to be one person behind making the food. He was supper apologetic of the wait (we didn’t wait long. Maybe 10 min). Nice little quick bite but better as take out instead of sitting to eat.“

“The food is a tad pricey for my personal budget but it is always very good and fresh. Their servers are very nice (Cy in particular) I come here with friends to play pool often, and it's never too busy when we go. This place is always clean and pretty cozy!I recommend their bread pudding.Parking: They have an okay sized parking lot, I usually don't have issues with it being full.“

“We were staying at the Hampton Inn downtown and were looking for a good restaurant within walking distance of our hotel. The city market area has about a dozen restaurants to choose from, so we chose this one. It was an excellent choice. The restaurant is very bright due to having a lot of windows, as well as many light fixtures inside. We started with the shrimp toast appetizer, and it was outstanding. It contained toasted pieces of baguette covered in gold shrimp, moray, chives, Sriracha, nuox Cham cauliflower, and sesame crunch. I could just eat that dish again for my dinner. For entrees, we had the Bahn MI sandwich and the grilled quail. The Bahn MI consisted of pork meatballs, bacon pate, pickled vegetables, chili aioli, banana ketchup, chili oil and cilantro. It was very flavorful but a little spicy. My husband had the grilled quail. He loved it. It was accompanied by ginger-lime fried rice. We would definitely return.“

“For our last meal in KC we booked The Farmhouse for breakfast. Located nearby City Market it is a wonderful and very busy farm to table place. I ordered the brisket tamale with eggs, Cotija cheese, and microgreens. It was fantastic. I never get fresh tamale as back east and this was a joy to eat. Every bite was fantastic. My Daughter got the lemon ricotta pancakes with a side of bacon. She loved it. The coffee was good and string a d the service was exceptional. If I'm in KC again this is a definite. Put it on your bucket list“
“Elise at Toms Town was amazing. She gave a great tour and the tasting with her was so fun. She has us addicted to the double oak Bourbon! If you do not drink bourbon, you can still enjoy the tour. Loved looking around and enjoyed the video of all the history that this distillery has. The food was an added bonus!“

“The Flying Horse Taproom is a neighborhood treasure. I came in regularly before they remodeled and revamped, and I liked it then. Now, I love it! First off, the service and the staff are excellent. Friendly, welcoming and efficient. . The flatbreads are my go to (the classic!) and they are the best. But, with the new menu, I've tried the chicken sandwich and the butter burger, both delicious. The Blue Grotto salad is very good as well. And, during happy hour you cannot beat the prices. I'm not a big beer drinker but I see people coming here all the time to taste the many beers on tap. When the weather is fair, the outside area is a wonderful place to enjoy with friends, and your pup. 5 stars all around for this gem!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Lots of families here during the day time“
“Hands down a vibe of its own. Love everything about it! My tab was about 60$ for 3 drinks and 2 plates. I ordered the chips and queso and the chicken tenders. And some Tito’s and club sodas. The pricing isn’t bad and the staff was super nice! Definitely going back!“

“Concur, this is a friendly, even historic, watering hole in one of the original grand downtown hotels of KCMO. And thank goodness they didn't mess with the original woodwork and theme of the place. The neon sign outside is precious and should never be allowed to be messed with! Whether you're here to watch (or catch) a game or just hanging out with some pals for a nightcap, hard to beat this small venue away from the huge crowds some places downtown are seeking. I can keep coming back here just fine.“

“We went for my birthday and tried several items from the happy hour menu. The pork tenderloin is the best I’ve ever had! The fried pimento cheese with tomato jam was my next favorite. Fries could have been crispier but still good and the biscuits were divine. The best thing was the butterscotch pudding with ginger snaps-chefs kiss“

“Cool place. We are in town from STL and tried to make a reservation at 5:15 on a Friday. The website said no tables available until after 7:15. Tried to call and they would not accept phone calls. We were 17 minutes away by foot and decided to walk anyway. Arrived at 5:45 to a 1/4 full restaurant and grabbed a seat at the bar. We were greeted fairly soon at the bar. Ordered great food and a beer. When it came time to order another drink it was difficult to get service. Ended up having 2 beers each but would have easily had 3 or 4 with attentive service. What was very odd was they came by and asked it we were done with our plates and if they could take them when we had them stacked and pushed forward for 20 minutes. Then our original bartender came and placed two clean martini glasses in the middle of all the dirty dishes to make martinis. This place is good and has a ton of potential. I wonder how much revenue potential they are losing per evening with the service. I am uncertain if they were under staffed but had 3 bar tenders.“

“Lovely Saturday night date night at Charisse. This was my first time here and the location and ambiance is very nice and quaint. The service was efficient as well. The prime rib was our favorite and extremely flavorful! We will be adding this to our list of nice date night places for sure!“
“A large group of us stopped in here for lunch on a Saturday and had lunch. The Buffalo Chicken Flatbread was NOM. Hubs ordered a salad and we shared both of theses. For the money, it was good food. Drinks from the Taproom to finish it off. My only complaint is that they needed another person back there helping. Some of the folks didn't order because he was getting behind, and warned there could be a long wait. Bummer for them, that they missed out on good food. The guy puttin' stuff together was workin' hard and doin' a great job. He just could've used some help.“

“My husband couldn't decide between the gumbo and the venision chili. Our server recommended the gumbo and we are so glad she did! it is amazing, seriously some of the best we've ever had. It is so full of flavor yet not too spicy. The roux was phenomenal. The fried chicken was crispy, well seasoned, and juicy. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The only reason we are disappointed is that we live 4 hours away and won't be able to come back frequently.“

“I worked there as a busboy in 67 & 68. My name is Brad Hughes and I live in Cottage Grove Mn. Ernie was the owner and everyone came there. Sugar Creek at that time was a great place to live when you were a kid. There were bars up and down Sterling all the parents were at the bars and us kids just hung out. Ernies was a great place to work as a kid. I remembering helping Hank behind the bar cleaning glasses to keep up having enough to serve. My Mom ran Jerry and Gary's greasy spoon down the road. The truckers would always stop in. Biscuits and Gravy was very popular back then. I hope to visit the area this summer and will for sure drop in.“
