“Drove to STL to visit the Laumeier Sculpture Park. Stopped by Mellow Mushroom for some food before the drive home. SO happy we did, we never heard of Mellow Mushroom but it quickly became one of my new favorite Pizza places. Such a cool ambiance! We got the Maui wowie and the funky Q chicken! 10/10 also; amazing crust!“

I was working a private event with Blues Fired Pizza on Saturday and as I was closing the truck door to begin prepping and service, a friendly warm voice from an older gentleman said “Hello!” From the side as he was talking to the event coordinator. After shift I stuck around to wander the area and wanted to check out their truck. I met Steve (that friendly warm voice that had greeted me hours before) and he asked me how I was and how we did. Asked me if I’d like to order anything. I was shocked because I didn’t want to assume I could also order- having not been part of the event. I asked if it was okay and he said “Sure! We have to take care of our own!” With a genuine smile on his face. I heard stories of this industry being a cut-throat business. I was more than willing to pay for my pizza but Steve assured me it was okay. (I did drop a tip in their tip can) 🙂 ***** I had the 8" Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza. Garlic/Ranch Sauce, Chicken, Bacon, Jalapeño, Cheddar Cheese and Mozzarella Cheese. (Pictured) It was AMAZING! I’m so tired of these big chain pizza places and I’m sooo happy that I went to Blues Fired Pizza’s truck! The dough was fresh, soft, and had that fire oven taste and crisp. You can tell the dough is made from scratch. I’ve driven past them numerous times in Kirkwood at their little pizza shack… but never stopped in. I’ll be glad to come by and order for sure! “The pizza, salads, appetizers, customer service is absolutely amazing! We've been going there for a long time. Even with the changing of ownership it's continued to be amazing and maybe even improved what we thought was already perfection. The owner even went out of his way to make my son's birthday even better. This is always our one and only place to go out for pizza.“

Not a whole bunch of parking available, only have maybe 7 to 9 places to park, street parking is available though. Only have passible seating for around 50 people inside the restaurant. “Randomly picked a non-chain pizza place and Eni's was the winner. Surprisingly they are a hybrid pizzeria & Mexican joint. Super clean! Friendly staff! Super yummy food! “Their online ordering site says they have curbside pickup and I parked out front where several signs indicate the number to text for curbside pickup. The response received indicated their pick up staff have been cut and I should come in to get my order. I would not have ordered had I known curbside pickup was unavailable. I called and told a staff member I couldn't come in and requested a refund. She asked me what type car I had and said she would send the order out. It took more than 15 minutes and a second phone call before they brought it out. (Another car pulled up during this time and received curbside delivery while I still waited.)“

They are known for their Sangria, which is constantly in rotation. All the kinds we have tried have been great. Their beer and wine selections are very good too.“

“We love going to Saucy's in High Ridge. The owners are very personable and the food is great. You pick your crust type, cheese, toppings or you can get one of their specialty pizzas. We love the carnivore pizza! The pizza sauce has the right flavor and isnt bitter or sweet, its perfect.Their wings are made without deep frying. They run them thru their pizza cooker. If you like crisper wings just tell them you want them crispier. The hillbilly seasoning is my favorite but they are all soo good. Also, the stuffed crust bites are a must try. They pair perfectly with their garlic butter sauce or marinara sauce. The atmosphere is great for couples, friends and families. There is a pool table, some slots and a couple of games for the kiddos to enjoy.“

“Great service & great food!! We had a couple small issues (burger not done & a soda that was lacking syrup, it was almost all carbonation. It happens! 🙃). The double decker pizza is so good!! My daughter had the chili mac & it was such a huge bowl that we brought more than half of it home. It was yummy!“

“We ordered two cauliflower crust, all-vegetable pizzas to-go yesterday afternoon. While the pizzas were prepared very nicely (in terms of topping layout and quantity) by an employee, the pizzas were both burned to different degrees - one quite a bit and the other partially. This situation required us to return to Mod Pizza when we opened the pizza boxes at a nearby park. **We want to thank Charlie, Manager at Mod Pizza-Kirkwood, for his courtesy and professionalism yesterday in resolving our concerns.** Charlie and the employee who helped us earlier today made things right for us, and we feel much better about returning to this particular Mod Pizza in the future! We also want to give our great thanks to Mod Pizza-Kirkwood employee Ethan who was outstanding—very conscientious, warm, and professional—during a previous visit to this location.

We very much appreciate Mod’s rich assortment of vegetables and the non-white flour option (i.e., the cauliflower crust).

A few requests for Mod Pizza as a company:

1.) Please train your Staff to consistently uphold standards of courtesy and professionalism. Some are excellent (courteous and thorough) and others are not particularly friendly and don't seem especially motivated to make sure that the food is well-prepared from start to finish.

2.) Please cut your broccoli much larger. For the pizzas prepared for us today, the broccoli was almost completely burned, and inedible. Our experience (in pizza-making at home) is that if the broccoli pieces are large, they won’t get burned.

3.) Please put the raw garlic on your pizza after the pizza is taken from the oven; if the garlic is cooked with the pizza, it comes out charred.

4.) In regard to dietary restrictions:

a.) Please find a way to make your cauliflower crust vegan. We had been advised by another Mod Pizza location that the cauliflower crust is vegan, but it turns out that that other location apparently gave us the incorrect information!

b.) Please offer a vegan, whole-wheat crust option.

“A worker named Samuel at Arnold location was phenomenal!! He was very lively and made sure we were taken care of, especially with the extra cheese.

Kid-friendliness: The workers are very nice and friendly to kids. This restaurant is also very quiet and reserved.“

“I was host to approximately 30 to 35 professional people for an evening. The food was unbelievably delicious; and Taylor attended to us flawlessly. She never missed a beat and got it all right. The atmosphere was great in spite of it being a memorial service. There was a second table almost as large as ours, and there was plenty of room to spare. I had shopped around a few places; none of them seemed compatible for my needs. Mitch was the mgr., and he was great as well. He had asked several times how everything was. I had visited the place once more by myself before my return trip home. Great place, great atmosphere, great food, and great service. If you get the chance, go!!“

“The food was delicious and perfectly cooked our driver was amazing and so kind! They even called us to make sure we had our food because they had an extra pizza that was exactly like ours. So I give you guys a 20/10 went way over and beyond to make sure we had a great experience!!!!“

“Cheap outing if you’ve got a family to feed and on a small budget.
The buffet itself leaves something to be desired besides pizza, however there is a mid salad bar, some basic noodles and sauce as well as desserts like brownies and cinnamon rolls that add some fluff to the plates. drinks are endless and if it’s not to busy, you can ask for special made pizzas with crazy toppings and styles like “chicken and waffle with red onions” that’s probably one of my favorite things about the place.
Tables are generally clean, and the staff is always nice and attentive, however you can tell it’s the kind of place running off minimum wage overall.
Because I’m cheap, I never really get much from the arcade area however I am glad it exists for the kids sake.
My only major gripe about the place is that sometimes it can get a little crowded and chaotic with kids running around and the other people sometimes look/act like hooserish creatures themselves. Otherwise it’s a solid choice for the family to fill up in between the daily hustle and bustle.“
