“Drove to STL to visit the Laumeier Sculpture Park. Stopped by Mellow Mushroom for some food before the drive home. SO happy we did, we never heard of Mellow Mushroom but it quickly became one of my new favorite Pizza places. Such a cool ambiance! We got the Maui wowie and the funky Q chicken! 10/10 also; amazing crust!“

I was working a private event with Blues Fired Pizza on Saturday and as I was closing the truck door to begin prepping and service, a friendly warm voice from an older gentleman said “Hello!” From the side as he was talking to the event coordinator. After shift I stuck around to wander the area and wanted to check out their truck. I met Steve (that friendly warm voice that had greeted me hours before) and he asked me how I was and how we did. Asked me if I’d like to order anything. I was shocked because I didn’t want to assume I could also order- having not been part of the event. I asked if it was okay and he said “Sure! We have to take care of our own!” With a genuine smile on his face. I heard stories of this industry being a cut-throat business. I was more than willing to pay for my pizza but Steve assured me it was okay. (I did drop a tip in their tip can) 🙂 ***** I had the 8" Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza. Garlic/Ranch Sauce, Chicken, Bacon, Jalapeño, Cheddar Cheese and Mozzarella Cheese. (Pictured) It was AMAZING! I’m so tired of these big chain pizza places and I’m sooo happy that I went to Blues Fired Pizza’s truck! The dough was fresh, soft, and had that fire oven taste and crisp. You can tell the dough is made from scratch. I’ve driven past them numerous times in Kirkwood at their little pizza shack… but never stopped in. I’ll be glad to come by and order for sure! “Nothing else served but Great pizza, better than Imos. There are lots of toppings on the pizzas ?. Not a whole bunch of parking available, only have maybe 7 to 9 places to park, street parking is available though. Only have passible seating for around 50 people inside the restaurant. Free refills on sodas, iced tea. Great overall dining experience. Will be going back there again.“

“Their online ordering site says they have curbside pickup and I parked out front where several signs indicate the number to text for curbside pickup. The response received indicated their pick up staff have been cut and I should come in to get my order. I would not have ordered had I known curbside pickup was unavailable. I called and told a staff member I couldn't come in and requested a refund. She asked me what type car I had and said she would send the order out. It took more than 15 minutes and a second phone call before they brought it out. (Another car pulled up during this time and received curbside delivery while I still waited.)“

“I was host to approximately 30 to 35 professional people for an evening. The food was unbelievably delicious; and Taylor attended to us flawlessly. She never missed a beat and got it all right. The atmosphere was great in spite of it being a memorial service. There was a second table almost as large as ours, and there was plenty of room to spare. I had shopped around a few places; none of them seemed compatible for my needs. Mitch was the mgr., and he was great as well. He had asked several times how everything was. I had visited the place once more by myself before my return trip home. Great place, great atmosphere, great food, and great service. If you get the chance, go!!“

“First time for me at MODs. I'll certainly be back. The experience was excellent especially with what you're able to do for your order! I had a MOD (regular) with a garlic rub and some toppings. You pick your size, your base sauce, your toppings and it bakes. If you're in a rush, order ahead, otherwise you're waiting for the pizza to bake. All around, great experience.“

“Cheap outing if you’ve got a family to feed and on a small budget.
The buffet itself leaves something to be desired besides pizza, however there is a mid salad bar, some basic noodles and sauce as well as desserts like brownies and cinnamon rolls that add some fluff to the plates. drinks are endless and if it’s not to busy, you can ask for special made pizzas with crazy toppings and styles like “chicken and waffle with red onions” that’s probably one of my favorite things about the place.
Tables are generally clean, and the staff is always nice and attentive, however you can tell it’s the kind of place running off minimum wage overall.
Because I’m cheap, I never really get much from the arcade area however I am glad it exists for the kids sake.
My only major gripe about the place is that sometimes it can get a little crowded and chaotic with kids running around and the other people sometimes look/act like hooserish creatures themselves. Otherwise it’s a solid choice for the family to fill up in between the daily hustle and bustle.“

It was quite apparent to us that Robert was genuinely invested in our Jets pizza dining experience.“
