“No signal in this town. Had to use my nose. I smelled bbq. Thankfully the nose knows. Had the big muddy. You gotta smash this thing down and lift up with a spoon if you want to leave the mud on the tray. Brisket is good and tender. Jalapeno sausage has a nice crunch and bite. Pickles have a great snap and not too sour. Slaw doesn't detract from the bbq even though it looks like a lot. The cowboy beans are hardy and are similar to Brunswick stew. Not sure what all is in it. Very nice atmosphere. Friend friendly people. Red cream soda is like big red. Thanks ya'll for the Q!“
“We have been to all Texas Monthly's top 50 BBQ joints and this deserves a place on the list. Lean brisket was a little dry, but great flavor. Pulled pork was outstanding, and Turkey was good. The sides are awesome. Their baked potato salad is my favorite anywhere, sweet potato casserole is a great desert. The service was friendly and the restaurant was clean. We will be back.“
“There's many things on the menu I haven't tried but what I have, has been exceptionally good. Price is reasonable considering the locality as apposed to St. Louis menu pricing. Overall I would recommend this establishment for a nice evening out. You won't be disappointed.“
