“Ive been to the St. Louis location and just visited the Chesterfield location for the first time on Saturday. At 6pm they were pretty much sold out of meats, but I was able to get some ribs and corned beef. I think everything is brought over daily from the St. Louis location, so I imagine it can be hard to estimate business daily. The corned beef was awesome and a nice changeup from the brisket (which was phenomenal at the St. Louis location). The ribs were also stellar but I was pretty full after the corned beef plate. Their plates are 1/2lb of meat which i think is more than the typical place around serves. I am from MA and have tried a lot of popular BBQ places in the area but Stellar Hog has been my favorite by far. I think they could use a spicy traditional BBQ on top of the sweet. The heat level from the bbq pit beans would be great as a sauce. But the spicy alabama sauce is great on the brisket and corned beef. Keep doing what you are doing and dont take shortcuts! nice smoke ring on the meats and the food is hot, not served straight out of the warmer it seems. Two thumbs up!“

Walking through the door and immediately you're hit by the smell and flavor of smoked meat. This isn't some Denny's-style chain, it's your neighbor that's waking you up with the smoke through your window, inviting you next door for a BBQ.

I ordered the rib tips because I'm here late and didn't want to spoil dinner. My side of choice is the collard greens. The surprise present was corn bread. Everything was amazing. I ordered the tips dry because I didn't want them hidden by a sauce. They were so flavorful and tender. The collard greens were just as tasty. The cornbread was like having dessert. I wouldn't change anything.

As a side note, I stole a piece of catfish from my friend and heck, now I'm not sure who won, but I can tell you it's the fish I'm going to try next time because the corn meal was perfect.“

“Great BBQ. I had the brisket with KC Burnt Ends, smoked beans, slaw, and it comes with a cheddar bacon popover. I liked the smoky flavor of the brisket but it wasn’t overpowering. Nice selection of bbq sauces. And Phil was a great server!“

“TreauX is now coming out to the Legion in Fenton one Saturday a month. We attended the first Saturday and are hoping that it is the start of many more. “Went here for the snoot. Was the first customer on a Saturday at noon. Ordered the snoot and brisket combo. Both were hot and cooked perfectly. Snoot was crunchy but meaty and tasted fresh. Brisket tender and smoky. Sauce was great. Potato salad was actually good [everybody likes it different ways. :) ]. Portion was a little bigger than other bbq places I've been. Owners and Workers were so warm and friendly. Definitely a family/neighborhood shop type of atmosphere, just from observing the way the owners interact with all their guests. Can't wait to go back again.“

“The place is very unassuming on the corner. Went in and there was a half dozen of folks waiting and in line. Each order cam out and eyes lit up. My first time was great. A heavy plate of good rib tips, soft bread and great flavor and seasoning abound. We will be back. Sometimes you just want good food without all the DAMN tourist from all the famous spots we all know in STL.“
