“While I love Abner's I think they've slid a little in quality/price over the last few years. I understand that prices of things have changed, but what used to cost me about 13 bucks (10 tenders, and an order of fries combo), is now something like 20. Thats a big increase!Service at the drive-thru window can be agonizingly slow, especially if you've called ahead and placed an order - you have to wait for anyone ahead of you to clear out. They need a system to let folks get their food carried out to their vehicle when they order online.Employees are mostly kids, and while thats cool as a first job it also means they can get distracted/not care about what they are doing at times so the service can suffer. Are they polite? Absolutely! Is the food tasty? I love the chicken tenders and Abner sauce! The fries are your typical fast food fry and could be improved. Big big hint: Look at LEES FAMOUS RECIPE's FRIES! (aka potato wedges, they are fantastic).A single baked potato is a small fortune, not sure why that is. A potato is cheap. Its like 4+ bucks for a baked spud from Abners.Inside its usually spotless and wait times were not bad when I used to (pre-Covid, of course) go in and pick up my food.“
“The service was extremely friendly. My waiter had plenty of knowledge about the drinks The restaurant itself had the perfect setting. The pianist is extremely talented and when he started playing Purple Rain, I knew this I was in the right place The food was amazing. I ordered a steak with mashed potatoes and string beans. As to put in perspective of the taste, this was the first time that I was in a restaurant and cleaned my entire place Will definitely be back“
“Traveling for work from Dallas Texas and came across this gem. Before you could open the door you could smell the food from the outside. THE FOOD IS AMAZING FRESH AND TASTY! I came for the pork chops but they were sold out BUT THE HOMEMADE HOMECOOKED WITH LOVE CHEESE BURGER AND FRIES I GOT TOOK MY TASTE BUDD TO THE MOON. Thanks for the best meal I’ve had since I left home. I’ll be back for a bucket of those fries.“
“I was surprised to find place that is down home cooking in a “fast food” style way. I called to place a to go order and she told me they have a drive thru and would get me outta there in 5 minutes. I said say no more! So far I’ve been twice and had the chopped steak and fish plate. If you’re looking for that down home cooked taste, especially on a quick lunch break, I would highly recommend this place.“
“I'm from Texas and was visiting Flowood. First time visit. I ordered the Fancy Nancy on a croissant and the broccoli salad. Everything was fresh and delicious and the price was very reasonable the amount that I got. It's delicious and I highly recommend this restaurant. I wish there was a Chicken Salad Chick in Georgetown, TX! I believe it would do very well here.“

I love Meat and Three places and this surpassed my expectations - all the sides were delicious - especially the fried okra and butter beans. I also had the Fried Chicken and it was perfectly done. Save some room for dessert! The pie was to die for!“
“The Halfshell Oyster House is always fantastic. I absolutely love the chargrilled oysters. I order them all the time. And the gumbo, and fish, and steaks... it's all so good. The ambiance of the restaurant screams date night, but it's also a great spot for birthday celebrations or just a good lunch or dinner. I will return. I can't go too long without those oysters.“

“We were not expecting much and were pleasantly surprised. My daughter wanted a sausage and cheese plate and they are one of the few places that offers one. The sausage was delicious. It was juicy and full of flavor. We loved the seasoning. My husband got the rib plate with baked beans and slaw. The meat was falling off the bone! The beans were hot and flavorful. My family is picky about coleslaw. But they loved this one! The service was fast and the employees are very nice. The place looks like a locally owned bbq joint and had just the right atmosphere! We had to laugh about going up and down stairs to get in. We lived in the area years ago and know it will flood at the first drop of rain. The retaining wall is a great touch. I know anyone that had lived in Pearl understands. We will be visiting again soon.“
“My first time in GB as I'm traveling through the area. Was astounded by the food and variety of tap beers! The barmaid recommended the turnip green bits for appetizer and the bayou catfish for the entree. My goodness! Both were fantastic! And the SPB beer was my new favorite!! Needless to say, I'll be back. Only wish I had gotten the name of the barmaid. Very helpful and so nice!“

They have all of the southern classics you could ask for- turnip greens, fried okra, Mac & cheese, black eyed peas, jalapeño cornbread, etc... everything we tried was SO good and felt like home. The rosemary baked chicken and the fried catfish were top notch! On top of that, the servers were extremely kind. We will be back! :)“
