“delicious food and everyone is so nice and the woman who ran our food even made jokes with us:) i usually go through the drive thru and was surprised how nice the inside is. they also have watermelon tea and strawberry lemonade both were very delicious. i always get fruity fran and mac and cheese. never disappoint!!! and the COOKIES! SO GOOD!“

“Sarah, my server, absolutely amazing. I ordered the turnip green bites as an appetizer. It should have been my main dish. OMGoodness, they are delicious.
On the other side of things, my salmon was a bit overcooked. I'll take the blame since I didn't request medium.
The turnip green bites definitely made up for that.“

“The food was good as usual. The fried green tomatoes and crab cakes were so delicious we couldn't get a picture before they were eaten. Keyonte was the worst server ever. We placed our order upon arrival. However, she acknowledged hearing it but gave no valid reason for not putting it in. We had to request silverware multiple times. The royal reds were delicious as usual. However, Keyonte let the shells sit on the table for an extended amount of time despite there being little room for the oysters. We had to ask her to remove them. We asked her 2x for a to-go box. Finally, as we proceeded to self serve, Keyonte offered and delivered a box that was obviously too small for the oyster poboy and the check for $144.“

“I didn't know we were going G to be seated in the hallway which has the least ambience of the entire place. It's the only real complaint I have. We could see people we wanted to see inside the restaurant before the concert and that was the whole point of the reservation.. next time I'm going to call and not use open table.“

“This is definitely my new lunch spot anytime I need to come to Jackson. They have some really good hush puppies and the catfish is just perfect. We really like the laid back atmosphere with the cafeteria style tables. It felt like we were at home with the family. The food tastes just like what Grandma makes! I promise. The ladies in the back whipping up culinary perfection seem to really care about what they cook and they are very welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be coming back on our next trip to Jackson.“

“It was our 32nd Anniversary and Char was the perfect place to celebrate. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The service was outstanding. Thank you Erik. The food was perfect and we even received complimentary champagne to celebrate. We also received a card signed by staff members congratulating us on our Anniversary. We will be back soon and often.“

“I’ve been here a few times. As long as it’s not packed out, the food and drinks come fast. Of course, more people longer wait times. Came for a bday brunch. I got salmon breakfast. It was cooked a lil too long for my liking but other than that I have no complaints! The music was nice, not too young of a vibe. The inside is clean and stuff is friendly.“
