“Tasty food and open pretty late for the area. The employees were polite and served me quickly which was really nice. Overall no complaints from me and will eat there again when my fiancee is wanting fried fish or fried tomatoes. I had the grilled catfish and it was good as well.“
“We needed a place to have a meeting for about 35 people. Tje owner was very accommodating to us and the service was great. They took good care of everyone. Fish, shrimp and gumbo was excellent. Coming from a cajun from Louisiana, that says a lot. Thanks to everyone at Mr. Whiskers. We had a great time! You need to give them a visit. Its worth it. I guarantee!Thank you.“
“My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner and look forward to our next visit. However, there are both some negative and positive comments I need to make.My shrimp Po' Boy was great; the best fried shrimp ever! I missed having mayonnaise on the roll, though, and tried spreading the tartar sauce with my drinking straw. Not the same. Also, it would be great if the roll was carved out so that the ingredients would stay inside. I found it difficult to handle. I ate some of those wonderful shrimp by themselves. I like that it was served on half a roll and came with a nice serving of fries; not a mountain of them? I ate it all. My husband's Thursday Special was great, and he couldn't eat nearly all of it.The other comment concerns one of the other servers; not ours. We understand that young people like holes in their jeans, but this guy's were shredded. The worst issue was that they were hanging much to low; under his rump. In my mind this is totally unprofessional and unacceptable, especially in an otherwise nice restaurant. We are in our late eighties, have traveled a good bit and eaten in some fine restaurants, as well as fast food places, and never had we seen this. Some of my children have worked in food service as managers, one of them as GM at a five-star restaurant, and I can tell you that they would be appalled, as was I. Our server was dressed appropriately, was respectful, friendly, and on his toes.“
“I’m so glad I stumbled upon this place. They have some really good tasting fish. And their prices are reasonable. Service is better than most places today. The light box come with 3 pieces of fish/ two sides and two hush puppies. It’s a weekly run for me now. Also, the two piece whole catfish is so good; it’s become my favorite. They are only open Thursday-Saturday from 11am until about 8 or 9.“
