“First time dining at Off the Hook. Before entering, I was put off at first by the overflowing trash can just outside the main door, which is why I didn't give atmosphere five stars. The service at the counter was FANTASTIC. Joell greeted us with a smile and offered us service immediately. He also knew the menu well and made suggestions since it was our first time. We ordered our food, received a number tag, sat at a table in the dining room, and Joell delivered our food to our table, again with fantastic service and attitude. He again, later, asked how our food was and if there was anything else we needed. Service like this rarely, if ever, happens at a counter service restaurant! Oh, and, the shrimp poboy exceeded my expectations, and I'm kind of a snob with shrimp. The onion rings were crispy-tender, but a little too salty for me.“

“Our first trip there. The food was delicious. I had fried catfish with fried rice. It was cooked perfectly. My sister had fried shrimp with sweet potato fries. Again cooked to perfection. Whitney was our server. She was so attentive. We wanted oysters, but they were out until later today. The have fresh shucked oyster's. We definitely will get them next trip. The owner Miss Sara came an talked to us about our experience. They all made us feel like we were important to them. Some places make you feel like a bother. Not here. The price for the amount of food was incredible too. Can't wait till next time. Thank y'all so much.“

“PICKY EATER ALERT! so we ordered the shrimp/snow crab bag( came with corn, potato, sausage, boiled egg) and ordered it with sauces mixed. (Cajun, garlic butter,lemon pepper) OMG SOOOOOOOO GOOD. well seasoned, hot and prepared exactly the way I ordered. “We have been wanting to try this place and man was it worth it. I got the double trouble potato and was pleasantly surprised with how soft and good the pork was! For 13$ I was shocked. So goood! My partner got the zesty zydeco potato and that was also very good but a little rich. Our waitress Tamayra was so sweet and attentive! She gave us great recommendations!“

“Only place around that has 93 octane NON-ETHANOL fuel...I've confirmed this to be 100% pure gas as per my ethanol sensor readings always show 0% when filling here, this makes it ideal for filling up your classic vehicles, motorcycles, getting mower gas, and boats. Recently it appears the owners have sold to someone else, I'll have to recheck my readings to make sure it's still ethanol free. I harp on this hard because one station sold me "NON-ETHANOL" that wasn't non, and it destroyed 4 fuel systems on some of my vehicles.“
