“This is definitely my new lunch spot anytime I need to come to Jackson. They have some really good hush puppies and the catfish is just perfect. We really like the laid back atmosphere with the cafeteria style tables. It felt like we were at home with the family. The food tastes just like what Grandma makes! I promise. The ladies in the back whipping up culinary perfection seem to really care about what they cook and they are very welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be coming back on our next trip to Jackson.“

“First time @ saltines, and it did not disappoint! The cocktails and food were all fabulous. Signed scrolls was a perfectly mixed tequila cocktail. Our table shared hush puppies and shrimp and lobster spring rolls, which were a very unique treat. The wood fired oysters were as amazing as you'd expect! Entrées were big portions, and don't you dare leave without having the cinnamon roll cheesecake!!! I will be back and cannot wait to try something different the next time, because there were so many great options on their menu“

On the other side of things, my salmon was a bit overcooked. I'll take the blame since I didn't request medium.
The turnip green bites definitely made up for that.“

“Hubby and I celebrated our anniversary. I made reservations for two. We sat at a booth. An anniversary card was on the table when we arrived. I ordered the ribeye, hubby ordered the New York Strip. The strip was a little too thick for my liking, but the ribeye was great. I loved the atmosphere. Waitress was okay. She made sure we had what we needed. I would eat here again.“

The entire staff was welcoming and friendly and they all look like models. The menu was small but the food was good. The drinks are 5-star! We will most definitely be back.“

“The food was good as usual. The fried green tomatoes and crab cakes were so delicious we couldn't get a picture before they were eaten. Keyonte was the worst server ever. We placed our order upon arrival. However, she acknowledged hearing it but gave no valid reason for not putting it in. We had to request silverware multiple times. The royal reds were delicious as usual. However, Keyonte let the shells sit on the table for an extended amount of time despite there being little room for the oysters. We had to ask her to remove them. We asked her 2x for a to-go box. Finally, as we proceeded to self serve, Keyonte offered and delivered a box that was obviously too small for the oyster poboy and the check for $144.“
