“I have visited both blue deer in Blowing Rock & now this one on King in Boone. At this location, Luc was at the register and Lindsay made my vanilla shake with crumbled chocolate chip. She took the time to get it right. Both employees were nice, too! While I love their ice cream which is sourced from Homeland Creamery in Julian, NC—I did ask where they get the baked goods & it’s actually US Goods, from my understanding.
I would love for them to source local cookies & baked goods to use in their ice creams. It would elevate the experience! I did find out the bagels are local, that’s a plus for me!
BTW, our son enjoys their coffee and the upper levels to occasionally get his projects and reading done for App State.
I do highly recommend Blue Deer! If you can, go up and sit way up high and get the views!

“Delicious frozen yogurt! Great place to bring your kids, friends, or to just enjoy their yummy yogurt by yourself! The staff are so friendly and welcoming and it’s a delightful shop. The yogurt is reasonably priced and there is always a nice selection of flavors and toppings. Awesome establishment! ?“

“Michael was PHENOMENLAL. His service was amazing. We spilled a beer and he quickly brought out a new one. He kept checking on us and was super helpful without being rude. Honestly one of the best restaurant experiences we have ever had. The entire staff we interacted with was very inviting, and super nice. We have been there before and will definitely return.“
