The bone marrow gravy was a delicious addition to the ribeye, and thats from someone who doesnt even use sause on steaks. It's going to become a regular place to go!“
“We found Lane’s Seafood and Steak House tonight. Though we have lived in Harnett County for three years, we have never visited this restaurant until now. The new signs posted at the Old Fairgrounds Road/ Stephenson Road intersection and the NC 50 / Stephenson Road intersection are helpful to those who are still learning the area.The restaurant is refined but cozy, and our waitress ( Sheila) was super friendly and accommodating. The food was great. We tried the seafood ( I ordered flounder; my companion ordered fried shrimp). The bread coating on the fish and shrimp was light, crispy, and seasoned to perfection. The white slaw included a trace of pickle and pepper, which paired well with the seafood. The potatoes were served steaming hot and the butter melted instantly when applied to the soft and yielding potato.The only disappointment was the hushpuppy texture. The puppies were shaped more like strands than scoops, and the grease in which they were fried permeated the entire body of the hush puppy. The result was a dense and gooey bread. But there are so many recipes for hush puppies, and the patrons of this long standing eatery must like this one. We were content to pass on the puppies because the remainder of the meal was so good.We will return to try other options on the menu. We had a pleasant dining experience.“
