“Visited on a Friday evening with a group of friends, and we had a great time! The place has a fantastic vibe with plenty of seating that’s both relaxed and comfortable. They offer a wide variety of beers, including their own in-house brews, which were definitely worth trying.

One of the highlights was the large screen where we enjoyed a FIFA World Cup match—made the whole experience even more lively and fun. The owner was extremely friendly and accommodating, even taking the time to let us have a quick look at their brewing setup, which was a nice touch.

“We were a party of 4. Two of us enjoyed the Durango burger and the special Parmesan crusted chicken. The third guest had the special salmon and shrimp special with mango salsa. The reason he ordered the dish was because he loves mango. The dish came out full of grilled corn with one tiny cube of mango! Imagine his big disappointment. The shrimp was cold, but the salmon was at the right temperature. He said he would not order the dish again. My tenderloin salad was absolutely awful! The onion rings were cold and the beef was dried. I asked the waitress to have the dressing on the side but it came drenched in dressing. Our waitress was MIA the entire time except when it's time for the check. We had to ask another server for bread for the table. We went to the restaurant to give it another try after a disappointing visit a few months ago. Needless to say, the second time did not encourage us to return anytime soon in the future.“

You can absolutely tell it's local and fresh (and I normally think that's BS). Started with the Crispy Brussels Sprouts and then the Homage to the Pig and my wife got the Shrimp Pasta. “I love everything about The Bark Bar. Sitting in such a beautiful place next to the dog park, people watching while nursing a cold seltzer on a hot day was just a wonderful way to spend a part of our afternoon. There was a decent selection of beer and seltzer, soda for the non drinkers. Seating in the shade was perfect for the heat of the day. The music was such fun for me- lots of 80's music... reminded me of my youth!“

“Absolutely loved Michi’s! The Vijayawada Special Biryani, chicken pulao, Kodi Vepudu, and Karapodi Gobi were outstanding. The dosa, ambiance, and service were equally impressive. After trying many restaurants since moving to North Carolina, Michi’s is easily the best place for authentic Hyderabadi-style Indian food. We’ll definitely keep coming back!“

I first dined here in college when I was looking for some eggplant parmesan - since that day 20 years later it’s still my favorite Italian restaurant in Raleigh! Btw their eggplant parmesan uses in house ROASTED eggplant not fried and I cannot explain how delicious it is. I’ve likely tried everything on the menu by this point and not once have I been disappointed.“

“Cru Food & Wine Bar is a wine lover's playground, with an impressive selection of wines that makes choosing just one feel like an impossible task (a very good problem to have!). We kicked things off with a build-your-own cheese platter paired with soppressata and prosciutto. The cheese selection was excellent—Manchego, Pecorino, Cheddar, and Camembert—all fresh, flavorful, and a perfect match for the wine. For my entrée, I had the Wagyu Picanha steak with papas bravas and the "jumbo" asparagus. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was absolutely delicious. The papas bravas were fantastic as well. The only thing that gave us a laugh was the asparagus—while tasty, it appeared to have skipped a few meals, because there was nothing "jumbo" about it! We also tried the Barolo-braised short rib, which was incredibly tender and packed with flavor. It practically melted with every bite. To finish, we shared the Tiramisu Cake, and wow—what a way to end the meal. Rich, decadent, and easily one of the highlights of the evening. Great food, an outstanding wine selection, and a relaxed atmosphere make Cru a place we'll happily return to. Just don't set your expectations too high for the asparagus's waistline! 🍷🧀🥩😄“
