“How fun is this place? You are greeted with wayyyyy too many options for sodas!! I wanted cream but there were like 6 and people were waiting so I opted for a fountain drink lol. We don't have cheerwine where I'm from. I got the spicy dog and a bacon cheeseburger. The food is BOMB. I really enjoyed the hot dog the most. I hope next time I can come with a bigger appetite!“
“Stopped here today for the first time by recommendation from the folks at Carrera Autohaus, Inc. after purchasing a car. When I tell you the BEST burger I’ve had, I mean it! I had the Classic burger with fries. I saw the burgers were doubles and thought no way I would be able to finish but I ate every single bite! The employees were friendly, efficient, and could be seen wiping down tables and straightening up throughout our dine-in experience despite how busy they were - so impressed! Wish there was one closer to home as this would be my new go-to burger place. Keep it up, Wayback of Durham!!!“
“Is Andy from Chicago? I don't know. Is he a Cubs fan? He darn well better be. But you know what else? Best Italian beef sandwich this side of the moon (outside Chicago). The last amazing Italian beef sandwich I had was in Chicago. I tried a couple here in Wake County but nahhhh, not worth my time. The gristle alone was enough to send me to my dentist for lock jaw. Andy's first question is an important one, peppers or giardiniera. Choose wisely or choose and come back the next day to have another! Next very important question, which I don't get asked around here is "wet"? F'yeah! Duh. We are not talking about fall apart wet. Find the right bread and wet is just a matter of delicious. Then the magic happens. I have been eying this truck for ages and little did I notice, they're not too far from home. I can sneak out at lunch and go get my dog on, my Italian beef on, my pastrami on. The world is my oyster...or sandwich. He has a nice setup to sit and eat, soak up some sun, shoot the breeze with Chef Andy, or just look at your phone. I'm not the boss of you. This is the best I've had and I'll be back!“
“For the longest time I thought their food was good, but overpriced. I never really went often due to the closest location being about 25 minutes from me. However, with fast food costing what it does today, this is a much better value. It's about $12 for their half pound steak burger combo when you add cheese. That's pretty much what you're going to pay for a similar sized meal at a fast food place. I'd rather come here every time given the choice. Service was excellent the last time I was at this location, with the guy at the register being so friendly and helpful with refills, extra ketchup, and asking how my day was going. Tons of toppings to choose for free, but I wish they'd use whole leaf lettuce instead of chopped pieces. Minor complaint. The fries and simple but fresh, crispy, and well salted. My family left full and happy. A great alternative to fast food and way more economical than Five Guys.Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome. Grilled cheese sandwiches, hotdogs, fries.“
“Was excited to try a corn dog here! They looked delicious. My friend and I split the cheese and regular corn dog half and half. It was ~$7 with tip. The corn dog was tasty. It was sweeter than I thought it was going to be with the sugar on the outside. I waited about 15 minutes after ordering for the food to be done. I was very glad to try this corn dog!“
“The place ambience was really nice. I got my food really quick and they really put a lot of fries in the bag which is very nice. Me and my friend got 1 fry to share and it was enough for all of us. The food was also really good and the employees were nice and delivered our food really quick. I would definitely go here again as it a is really good spot that is worth the price and also has quick service. My favorite part is the free peanuts they have which you can snack on while you wait. Hope you get a chance to try it too.“
“Bro... its cook out, if you havent at least tried it then you are wrong. The ones in durham have fried okra as a side and most of the ones near clayton have a walking taco. Pretty amazing, and the milkshakes are incredible, bbq is great and cheap.“
“Always solid. Just be careful with the fries. I’m a big guy and my friend isn’t a small guy. But the regular fries was a lil too big for me and him. It’s a little pricey but it’s always worth it. Some people forget how good there burgers are. I never do though they always got good messy burgers.“
