I had the Adult Grilled Cheese Sandwich - if you are looking for fresh, healthy, and local goodness, then order this! The food is creative and delicious, the High Country Famous cocktail was freshing and spot-on, and the atmosphere is both welcoming and elevated - perfect for any day in Blowing Rock. “After driving past Mexican Rock several times, I decided to stop in and try the food for the first time. I was dinning alone, was quickly seated, and chips and salsa were delivered right away. they were very good. I had extremely high hopes. I watch a large group being seated at a table across from me, a man and his son, and then an older couple . The large group had their drink order taken, then the man and son and a server bypassed me once again to get the couples drink order before turning to notice me 20 minutes after being seated, still no one had taken my drink or food order. The restaurant was no where near full. I asked to pay for my chips and salsa to which he replied "it's free" i proceeded to lay whatever cash i had in my pocket ($6or$7) on the table and left. maybe had i not been alone, service would have been better? I understand larger groups tend to leave larger tips, but I tip very well if my service is good and still tip if it isn't. maybe I will give it another chance in a few months I dont know. But for today's experience, I would not waste my time again“

“A Magical Mountain Getaway From Charlotte and Charleston! My boyfriend surprised me with a trip to the beautiful mountains of North Carolina where we had the most magical stay at The Mast Farm Inn! This town and the Inn are out of a Hallmark Movie! It was the perfect escape from Charleston and Charlotte. A close drive surrounded by stunning mountains, farm animals, quaint restaurants and shops! The cabin was very clean and cozy! The staff went above and beyond for us while we celebrated my birthday!“

“During a one-week stay in the area with my family, we chose to dine at The Table at Crestwood based on its reputation and pricing, expecting a more elevated overall experience.
The ambiance is pleasant, with a nice setting and attractive views, but ultimately nothing memorable or distinctive enough to justify the positioning or cost. The food was acceptable, yet uninspiring. For the price point, we expected more refinement, creativity, and depth of flavor. The menu itself is very limited, offering few choices, which further amplifies expectations, unfortunately, those expectations were not met.
The service was friendly, and the staff was courteous; however, the experience lacked polish and professionalism. The service felt casual and inconsistent with what one would expect from a restaurant in this price range.
The wine list is minimal, with very few compelling selections, and the bar program is underwhelming. Cocktails and offerings feel basic, again falling short of what the pricing and setting suggest.
Overall, this is an okay dining experience, but not one that aligns with its cost or reputation. With stronger culinary execution, a more thoughtful menu and wine selection, and improved service standards, it could meet expectations, but in its current state, it does not.“

“Well, I drank some beers, and then I had a few more. Then I stumbled out yonder to the food truck and got me a little bit to eat. Then, I was ready to drink another couple of brews. So I did just that. Then I walked somewhere else and did similar things that were fun and exciting to me like jai alai or chess. I'm longing for a strategic game of Twister at the moment. Have fun, be safe, and drink cold beers like a Boss.“

“We were looking for a sweet treat while visiting in Boone and a local told us to go to Pepper’s.
WOW! I am soooooo glad we did! Their cheesecakes are AMAZING!!!!!!!
We got 3 desserts to try!

“This courtyard hotel is a bit nicer then the standard courtyards. The lobby is clean and new with lots of nice sitting spots. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony (gold elite). The staff was very helpful, our room seemed newer as well. Good location near ASU and lots of stores and restaurants within a short drive.“

“Madison was such an amazing waitress! We came in for a meeting, and she was top notch, not only with our seating but all around us! A pleasant personality and exceptional service by all from the greeting to the delivery. The food came out perfect. Shout out who cooked my steak that night. 12/01/25 at 5:00 pm. Excellent job!“
