“As a coffee professional, I have high standards for good hospitality and coffee. Visiting Blowing Rock, I happened upon this little cafe and was blown away. The woman who took care of us was incredibly warm and her suggestion to get the maple sage latte was a 10/10! She made it in a cappuccino for me and added whipped cream since I wanted a cozy drink. The espresso was dialed well, the espresso was steamed perfectly and it was overall a memorable experience. Makes me excited to get back to the coffee shop I manage and set higher standards for our hospitality- thank you so much! ☺️“

“They have great food, a great atmosphere and great staff. Our daughter has food allergies to egg and peanut. The staff were VERY accommodating. There are no eggs or peanuts in the ice cream. They made sure to open a new container, change gloves, and get a new scoop to avoid any potential cross contact with peanuts from the other area as well. We felt very cared for and she was able to enjoy her amazing ice cream safely! 10/10 recommend and will be a permanent stop each time we visit Boone or Blowing Rock.“

“Imagine you were with Dave Chappelle when he played basketball against Prince and at the end of the game, Prince offered to make you and your crew pancakes. Those must have been some damn good pancakes.

Now imagine you instead are in Boone and you want to eat a crepe and grab a coffee. I'd have to say this is what Dave and his crew experienced.

This crew is interested in making a quality product (crepes) and it shows. I was a bit apprehensive as my google reviews have led me astray.

We had the pesto cheese and added egg crepe. They nailed it. We try crepes from time to time and find most are subpar to average. These crepes are damn good.

“Katie and I went to Boone, NC over 4th of July this year and found several great local places. We found a local coffee shop Hatchet Coffee and it was amazing. Their staff was friendly and helpful with all our questions……the coffee was great!! “Went to the Muskegon, MI location this weekend - DELICIOUS! The staff were friendly and helpful, the coffees we got were sooooo good, the lines moved quick, with lots of flavors and customizations. Amazing. I’ve been having to drink decaf and watch my sugar while pregnant so I’ve had to go without a frozen / chilled coffee for the last eight months (can’t find them anywhere in the area)… they offered decaf to every coffee item across the menu, and options for sugar free or however sweet you want it. I was thrilled and will definitely be back. Husband agreed. I can only imagine the other drinks are just as good! Lucky for us to be there on opening day… we got a free shirt for every large drink we ordered, which was super cool! Nice touch!“

“I love this library so much ♥️ It's been a haven for 4 years now and I'll always hold it in high esteem! They're really good about ensuring there is a quiet place for people to work and the school provides many resources through the library. Also I've always had an easy time reaching the librarians through the website and receive a quick response. I really appreciate the work App has put in to make the library a great place to study and focus. I always feel safe here even when I'm doing an all night homework sesh. There are security guards who check for student IDs at the door over night and there are guards who walk the floor checking for IDs periodically.“

It's an awesome lounge (although I prefer the solarium across the hall). Getting together for a coffee meeting? Everyone at App State, and I mean everyone, will recommend Crossroads. It's also a popular area to write, read, work, and study. Things that could be improved include open hours on weekends, music variety (I get that you're going for a "coffee shop" aesthetic, but there are plenty of kinds of music that can create that. For example, the time you played the Mos Eisley Cantina Theme was a welcome surprise.), more live piano music, and even more menu items like café con leche, horchata, etc.. I'd also like it if you restocked the display cabinet for pastries more than daily since it always seems to run out by mid-afternoon, but I understand that could be a financial issue.“

“Another nice coffee shop. I stopped here on the way out of Boone for a coffee for the road. I ordered an iced dreamsicle (orange) latte. It was definitely interesting, probably not my favorite but not bad by any means. A bit steep ($7) after tip, but I guess you can't really even get a hot drip anywhere for less than $4 so I can't complain too much! The shop itself is really clean and cozy, there is an upstairs area too where I sat for a bit while enjoying the first few sips and watching passersby on the main street below., I think next time I would try a different flavor and definitely get a cookie and/or ice cream.“

Well let me tell you, when the "biscuit experience" is like mine, there is going to be a wait from the throngs of people just scrambling for the experience because it was ah-mazing. I got a country ham, egg, cheese biscuit. The ham was perfection but that biscuit... let me just tell you, I have had many... I mean MANY biscuits in my 68 years but NEVER have I had one where the biscuit did not crumble. Eating a sandwich this flavorful without a crumbling biscuit made for the most wonderful breakfast biscuit I have ever had. If I thought for one second they would divulge their recipe I would certainly ask. Again, the best breakfast biscuit experience this 68 year old has ever had. Well done!!!!!“
