“We are new to the area and we’re celebrating our wedding anniversary a little early. We had no reservation and walked in on a Saturday evening. Place was very busy and the only sitting available was at the bar. The service was very good. The food was excellent. We definitely will be going back, will call for a reservation next time. What a pleasant surprise to find this gem so close to our new home.“
“We recently moved to Spring Hope and we are always looking for a good place to eat that Isn’t a chain . This place is fabulous. It’s small it has about 13 or 14 tables and it stayed busy for dinner . Apparently they have steaks every Friday , which looked delicious. I hear restauranttheir breakfasts are great too. Service was great even with how busy they were. Food was fresh and good . We will be back .“
“The food was very good and our waitress did a great job keeping up with our table. This is probably one of the nicer places around Zebulon if you want a proper three course meal. Although there's a lot of great restaurants in Zebulon, this one would be good for special occasions and date nights. It can be pricey if you're looking for a steak though, but that's typical.Parking: Parking lot is packed most weekends, so come early or on a off night.“
“I enjoyed an after church meal and the collard greens are super tasty. The wings where on point. The waffle is more of a donut type not a breakfast waffle. I t was still good. Overall I really like it. I also took home a chicken hoagie. It was oh so good. I took my mom a chopped burger hoagie and fries and she didn't have one negative thing to say. She was very satisfied with her food. I give this location 5 stars.“
“This has been around forever and for good reason. AWESOME country breakast. Old fashioned flavor. My first time trying and I'll definitely be back. That being said I give an edge to Flo's biscuits in Wilson (still my favorite...but much further to drive). You can't go wrong with any of the biscuits here.“
“First time dining in for breakfast. The food is delicious and fulfilling. Everything was cooked to perfection. My waitress was very friendly and always had a smile on her face ? she made sure glasses were filled with anything my husband and I needed she was on it . By the way, the sweet tea is so good . Good southern sweet tea I give the tea rating a 10 out of 10. You can't find many places that can make good sweet tea. I will definitely be back to try the dinner menu. I meant to get a picture of the desserts up front in the glass, but I forgot. They are hugevariety of cheese cakes, pecan pie , chocolate pies, etc. I will be trying those soon .I also came for lunch today 4/7/24 I tried the club sandwich & fries as you can see a big portion and so delicious ? I also had a chocolate fudge brownie cake with vanilla ice cream which was superb ? ? my husband and I shared this dessert. Please, everyone, if you want good food, I recommend coming here you won't be disappointed at all. Our onions rings were an appetizer to start, and you can see we had a good bit on our plate. “I travel a lot for work and places like this are the reason why I specifically stop in really small towns now.The food was amazing, the atmosphere was definitely unique, and the staff was extremely friendly. Next time I am going anywhere near this part of NC, I'll make a detour to eat here again. Highly recommended.“
“Okay this place may be my favorite hole in the wall I didn't know i needed in my life. I've been here for two visits and they haven't let me down and will have me coming back to try everything on their menu.My first visit I had the pork chop sandwich and I was expecting what others have served me at different establishments and I was sadly mistaken. This was a thick bone in center cut pork chop cooked to perfection and the size was immaculate for a lunch portion. The chili cheese fries have some of the best chili I've ever had on French fries and they were heavy handed on the cheese which was a plus.The second visit I had the flounder sandwich and fries and I loved the portion size of the flounder and the breadcumb crust.This place is small but the food is mighty, please pay them a visit.“
“Absolutely loved this chicken and BBQ place. While there are many locations in central and eastern NC, this is a North Carolina original. Though it is technically a fast food restaurant, care is taken that customers receive quality customer service. Food is very fresh and flavorful. Expect authentic “down east” vinegar-based BBQ sauce with a distinctive kick. I had the dark meat “snack,” which comes with leg, thigh & one side. I went with the baked beans, and was very satisfied. These are NOT vegetarian beans, as they are laced with pork BBQ, and quite to my taste. The chicken was very tender & juicy as well. Plenty of free parking. We chose to eat outside on a picnic table, to accommodate our dog. Staff insisted on carrying our food outside, across the parking lot to the picnic table. My only suggestion for improvement would be an umbrella over the picnic tables. Two Tesla charging stations on site.“
“I have been coming to this location since I was a little girl, i’m 20 now, and I have never had a bad experience. I have always gotten their chicken tenders and fries, their onion rings are great too, but their BBQ is amazing. I don’t believe I have had a bad experience here, I love coming here and I hope nothing changes.“
“My husband and I ate Thanksgiving dinner at this Waffle House last night. It was decorated really cute for the holidays and we received a cheerful welcome as soon as we walked in. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Both servers were on top of orders dining in and to go, and the cooks kept everything moving hot off the grill. Everyone was working together to ensure our Thanksgiving meal was correct and enjoyable.“
“My son wanted to stop in Granny's while traveling through Louisburg. We got the Chicken Gizzard Snack and I was impressed. I thought by the "snack" description it would be a small portion but it was a plate full! They were crispy and delicious. Their sausage dog looks great so I'll try that next time.“
“Oh my goodness I went there yesterday for the first time. It was such a cute little place and had delicious southern food and the sweetest people both staff and customers! I got the special of the day which was fried pork chops though I could’ve got them grilled but everything fried is better I believe ha ha, I had black-eyed peas and fried okra and it came with your choice of bread either rolls, biscuits or hush puppies and I got hush puppies so it came with three large ones and they were delicious but heck everything I had was amazing! I just hate I didn’t have room for some peach cobbler or one of the other yummy desserts. I will be going back though. And one of the sweet regulars there actually bought my food but I didn’t even know about it until after he had left so I thank him if he ever reads this/ their review/ reviews. They said that he was one of the local fireman and worked for Barnhill Contracting. So again thank you kind gentleman for buying my lunch. And I can say that after only one there once it’s already one of my favorite spots, next time I want to try breakfast though ?“
