“My family and I were on vacation staying just down the road from Buxton Munch. We were all in the mood for fish tacos, and found this place by accident. It’s one of the best accidents we found. We all ordered the fish tacos and were amazed by the amount of food and the freshness of every ingredient. The owner and the staff were super friendly, which made lunch that much more enjoyable. If I lived down the street from this place, I would probably eat here once a week. I highly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed!”

“when my now husband and i discussed marriage, i had already known the place i wanted to get married was the Inn on Pamlico Sound. he asked me to marry him Memorial Day weekend 2024, and we booked them as our venue the next weekend. Steve and Meredith and their team remained in constant communication with us regarding every detail, question we had, vendor choices, etc. the dinner options were so hard to choose from but we ultimately decided on the taco bar - because, tacos, duh! we had the chipotle chicken, ground beef, and blackened catch of the day which ended up being mahi mahi. i’ve never been so hype to eat tacos in my life, everything was amazing! and then the home made tortilla chips and salsa just added icing to the cake! everything was delicious and was served hot and ready as our guests were seated - it wasn’t sitting in warming bins just waiting for the ceremony to be over. not only is the venue itself beautiful and stands out, the food and staff made our experience and our guests’ experience truly unforgettable. my husband and i currently live on hatteras island and we will definitely be doing our anniversary dinners at Cafe Pamlico, and i’m already looking forward to it!!! thank you Steve, Meredith, and all staff involved in our day! you all worked your tails off to make everything come together and we so appreciate yall!”

“We have driven past this place for years and after sitting on the beach all day in September, we were starving. We stopped in and placed our order - prices were kinda high, but nothing we're not used to paying when at home. The menu options all sounded good. The sandwiches were good and definitely satisfied our hunger. We'll stop again the next time we're in town.”

“We had their pizza one night and it was amazing. We returned the following night and ate in. Ceasar salad, Italian sub, fettuccine Alfredo, ham and cheese sub and fries were amazing too. Their prices are great too. My only complaint would be they close at 8:30 PM, but that is the normal for the area.”

Although the interior may not have the coziness of some coffee shops, the atmosphere is open with plenty of space to take in the local art or get a little work done (if you do that kinda thing in Avon).”

“The young man working all alone tonight was amazing. I didn’t get his name, but dark hair and foreign accent. There were probably 20 people in line when we arrived. He served each of them efficiently and with a smile. When we were up to order, the owner decided to show up and take over. Fine, except that when he did, he started berating the young employee for “getting into this situation”. The only situation was the fact that he was left alone with a large volume of customers. We were really turned off by the owner’s behavior.”

“What an awesome place! Highly recommended. We now have a local bar that we will be visiting everytime we are in Frisco. While on the ride down from VA I called around looking for karaoke and found Howard's. They don't normally do karaoke on the night we arrived, but he was more than happy to get it going for me and some of the locals to enjoy. My husband and I had such a blast! The staff are on point and the people and atmosphere where amazing! We are so happy to have discovered this spot in Avon! Thank you Howard's for a great night, we will see you again soon!”

“The portion size was quite large and for the price I was definitely satisfied, I’ll be honest it was a little dry but I thought it still tasted very good in its own way with the General Tso’s and was still most satisfied! The lady was kind and friendly and the atmosphere was pretty simple but quiet. I enjoyed myself and the meal.”
