“Meat, vegetables, and a variety of sauces, what's not to like? I prefer this one for takeout. In fact, I drive by one of their competitors to get to New China. I like their sauces over what I typically find at the local chains in the area. It's not fine cuisine but it's fast, friendly, and inexpensive. There's a few tables but most people are in a line that bisects the tables to get their orders.“

“We stopped here after our dolphin watching cruise because it was close by and we were starving! Oh my goodness! I’m so glad we stopped. I had the BEST crab cake I have ever had. That’s saying a lot because I’m from Delaware and grew up on seafood. I’m very picky about crab cakes and don’t usually order them. But the description said Maryland style crab cakes so I took a chance. Best choice ever! They were amazing! My husband had the clam strips that was the special of the day and they were also amazing. So many he couldn’t eat them all. We shared a bowl of seafood bisque that was also delicious. Our waitress even split it into 2 bowls for us when we told her we were going to share. Food was served quickly and the staff was super friendly. I highly recommend stopping here!“

“My husband and I have been buying donuts here for about two years. By far the best in the area. I had to write today to tell you the crew this morning was by far the absolute best in our two years. The young lady running the crew was amazing. She was in constant contact with the two young men working with her and acknowledged just about every customer as they came in the door. To be honest it was the busiest we have seen it and we were in and out in the same amount of time we have been in the past with only one or two people in front of us, Today there were about twelve in front of us. She was friendly and it ran like a well oiled machine.“

After we were seated our server, Riley took out drink order and reappeared quickly with water and our drinks. I have the captain’s platter and chose shrimp and clams and Anne ordered the shrimp and grits. Riley had warned us that it’s a large portion, but who knows what that really can be. Well, the food arrived promptly and the shrimp and grits truly was an enormous portion. Enough for two. Was creamy, cheesy, slammed full of shrimp, andouille and mushrooms. My shrimp and clams were lightly breaded and fried to perfection. Frankly, as busy as it was, I was surprised with the speed of service and the quality of the food. Absolutely recommend this place!“

Food was very good but the server was unenthused and clueless; e.g. didn't know what items were GF for one in our party, didn't know where the fresh oysters were from, didn't know what a single malt scotch was and didn't know if the restaurant carried one (which they don't-really!!), couldn't articulate what was in the buerre blanc sauce, etc. It's a shame because she was a weak link in an otherwise good experience. As a former restauranteur it's a shame she was allowed on the floor without menu knowledge.“
