“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I would highly recommend the Highlands wine shop! This was my first visit to the Highlands Wine Shoppe in The Highlands NC. The store is located in a charming White House off Main Street. The owners and staff were super friendly and informative the minute we walked in the door. There are many places to sit comfortably and try the wines. Quite a few people were sitting outside when we walked up. That have a cozy fire pit and some heaters for cooler weather. Inside the store is warm and inviting. There is a comfortable room to the right with a couch and fireplace. Then there are other tables throughout the store. There is a wine pouring system that you purchase a card from the front desk and then you can insert it to try the different wines available. If you don’t use the full amount on your card they will store it for you under your name for a future visit. My husband had that done for me. It makes a great gift! There are different size pours available. You can do a small taste or a enjoy a full glass. They had a very nice selection available. The owners and staff members were very helpful in explaining the different wine’s to taste. The shop is run by two fun female Sommelier’s. It was amazing to me to watch them in action. They really know their stuff! They can describe each wine just perfectly. We had such a good time! My husband and I chose to sit in the main room where we met lots of fun people who were visiting the store. Some of them had their dogs with them too. I love that it was dog friendly! The wine selection goes all the way from budget friendly up to a premier selection in a private room. We bought four bottles on our visit. Two of them were from ones that we had tasted and discovered and the other two were some of our personal favorites. We hope to be back first a visit soon! Cheers! ???“

“we took eight of our friends from The over the hill hiking group to eat there on July 24. We ate on the back deck which was very pleasant and undercover. The brisket was great all the sides were great. Everybody was happy with their food. It was even better than I remember from my previous visit. Wright before close we even got to see a bear. Try to get into the dumpster, which was quite entertaining.. we will be back.“

“The Angus hamburger was cooked to perfection, well-seasoned, and juicy! The gluten-free bun was a welcomed option - no additional fee. French fries were hot and delicious.
Dietary restrictions: GF bun - no upcharge.
Kid-friendliness: Very casual atmosphere. They had buckets of crayons and coloring books for younger guests.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a bit of a lip getting into the restaurant on the door threshold but otherwise it looks accessible.“

“My husband and I stopped in on Friday night and sat at the bar, as we prefer to do. We were promptly served by Nick, and he was fantastic! We had a few small plates and they were all fantastic! We finished with the deconstructed bread pudding. Not something we normally eat, but it was ridiculously tasty!! If we were local we’d be there on a regular basis. It will definitely be a must the next time we are in town!“

“5/5 Food was incredible. We tipped the waitress and the cook. We called the manager over just to say thank you. They were so kind. I can't tell you enough how good the food was. From the time we went in the door and by the time we went out. We were treated with the utmost respect. Thank you Mica's Restaurant and Pub. We will be back ♥️♥️♥️♥️“

“If looking for a cozy pub, Ugly Dog is the place to be. Came on a Wednesday, which meant we hit Bluegrass Night, which only added to happening vibe. Sat at the bar, chatted with locals, and out-of-towners. Service from Kelly, our bartender, was excellent. Personable and attentive.“

“It was very clean, noticed their 95.5 rating ! Wowza!!🙌🏼 I had an 8” prosciutto and mushroom pizza and the small beet salad! Both were heavenly! My only recommendation is they get some Mike’s hot honey to drizzle on your pizza, I improvised with regular honey and red pepper flakes! Delicious y’all!“
