“As guests of the motel upstairs, it was awesome to find out that there was not only on site dining but live music for both nights of our stay. The restaurant is casual enough to dock and dine but also very welcoming to a family looking to spend a nice night out together. Both nights the music was awesome and enjoyed by all young and older. The food was really tasty. The menu has basic options but we went for the Caribbean inspired dishes. Service was kind, drinks were strong, vibe was perfect and prices are very reasonable.“

“I have been coming here for years especially on Thursdays and Fridays!! I will just say I have never had a bad experience while eating here!! The food is good but wanted to brag a little on the waitress Lindsay that seems to always be there when I eat. She is always busy either serving tables or answering that phone but always checks on everyone!!! Is always super nice when she is able to have a 2 min conversation. When she isn’t there I seem to have issues with getting drinks or my order is wrong but that won’t deter me from coming back!!“

“We happened upon fresh chef and decided to stop and try it. The service was amazing, atmosphere is great, food was AMAZING we had gumbo and shrimp with grits which is something that’s usually hit or miss most places, but they nailed it and we will definitely be back. Shout out to Elaine who was so friendly!!!!“

“Our orders are always correct, the staff welcomes us with a greeting and smile and this location is always clean! They’re very well staffed and quick to fill our order. Plenty of seating inside with some outdoor seating I can’t wait to experience as the weather warms up. Great location to get caught up on emails or school work.“

“I had been wanting to eat at a real country kitchen food, had been in some but haven’t found one that I satisfied.
Today, I found one: this Granny’s Country Kitchen in Claremont, NC
The ambiance was casual, family oriented, and food was very yummy, service by a young, pretty and efficient Cami, the reasonable prices made an amazing lunch!
I told my husband that I wished this restaurant was in our neighborhood.
Highly recommend to those who travel to this part, it’s a must stop for lunch or dinner, besides a great meal, we support the local as well.“

“I started eating here last May and twice a month I'd show up and have the best food experiences ever. Never a bad experience and all food has been top notch and the service on point. Derrian remember most everything I would eat or drink. Just good people and great environment. I recently started going back here every two weeks and they still have that very high level of great service and great food! Keep up the great work all of y'all.“

“We live nearby, so we've been eating here most of our lives. This is my husband's favorite place for fish. Definitely not fancy, but it is clean. Yes, it is an old school fish camp. In fact, it's one of the only ones left! The locals love this place, you can dine- in or take-out. Good variety of seafood. I happen to be allergic to fish/shellfish, so I always eat the grilled chicken while he eats catfish, flounder, or Mahi Mahi. But the reason I keep coming back even though I don't eat seafood...the hush puppies and tarter sauce! They are the BEST anywhere!“

“This is the COOLEST little waterside bar and grill. The food was absolutely awesome, even for a family with a little one. There was a band setting up when we went, and with the super cool atmosphere, it would be an awesome place to listen to live music. The service was great too. We will for sure be back.“
