“Went to 1058 Sports Bar and ordered the lobster garlic bites and let me say I highly recommend. They were buttery, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of garlic. The portion size was solid and they came out hot and fresh. I encountered the best bartender, Nyjah and must I say she makes the best lemon drops in Charlotte. The atmosphere was fun, plenty of TVs for the games, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Drinks were on point too. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to.“

“Mandatory destination for soccer fans. Cool old school bar in a really cool brick alley. Upstairs and downstairs are both small but not claustrophobic. Scarves on the walls and a match on tv, classic soccer bar stuff. Bartender was a good guy, great soccer conversation and some helpful local insight on other watering holes. Glad that we stopped by Courtyard Hooligans, if you are a soccer fan you will enjoy it too !“

She also was very kind with no attitude. The manager there was also very kind and displayed no attitude. This I appreciate because so many of us do give off so much attitude at various establishments. It's a little on the pricey side so I recommend taking note to the specials of the day. I would recommend as an option of places to go. I can't speak for prime time hours but for lunch hours, they did a good job.“

Not many places were open, but after speaking with James on the phone, we knew that’s where we wanted to eat lunch. “I’m quite literally sitting here, watching the Bills game as I type this review. I ordered the chicken salad cesar wrap (pictured) with grilled chicken. It tasted very good and the fries are incredible! The fries are good warm or cold. There’s bar service besides getting drinks from the server and there are specials every day for drinks. Highly recommend coming out for a game if you’ve got the chance. Even if it’s a Panthers game, playoff game, or any other sports game, I think the atmosphere is fun and you’re sure to find some friends when you come.

The bathrooms are clean and stocked with toilet paper. The sinks were a little wet but it’s nothing I have a problem with. I like that they had Bath and Body works soap because honestly, it smells really good.

Our server was Alex, who is a server and a bartender. She is very sweet and does her best to be attentive even on a very busy playoff game night. Hope you get to sit with her or sit at the bar with her! Thanks Alex for always refilling our drinks!

Either way, very good location. In the most walkable part of Charlotte (South End, obviously) and super easy to get to. The rail trail isn’t too far and there are plenty of apartments around here so you have so many options to live and walk to a bar that has great food, plenty of televisions to watch the game, and good service. Highly recommend“

“If heaven had a smokehouse, it would definitely be Mac’s Speed Shop. First of all, the brisket? So tender I’m convinced it went to therapy and resolved all its issues before hitting the plate. “Stopped in Sunday at 9am as we heard this was a place to watch Formula One and I was visiting my son at UNCC and we needed to good place to watch. The atmosphere was great, the local F1 fan group (where were heard about Dom's) was there and it was fun to be among other fans. The server and bartender were pleasant and very responsive and once they could legally serve me a beer, the did right after 10 am. Overall had a nice time there, exactly what we were hoping for. I hope Dom's does well.“

I lost my phone in Charlotte and and Uber driver that didn’t speak English found it walking down the road. Since he only spoke Spanish I went to the bar and Nohemi not only talked to him she negotiated the return of my phone. NOT ONLY THAT. She came out side in the 22 degree weather to help me translate with the guy!

Love the bartenders and the way the entire staff works together to provide solid service even during short staff rush hours and the kitchen puts out some really nice dishes....“
