“What started as a $4.15 Happy Meal on a road trip the day after Christmas, proceeding to hungry and very angry parents late at night after several other restaurants ended up being closed or refusing to serve walk-in customers, ended with a $40 meal and the angel at the Jake’s Diner drive-thru. I don’t actually know what’s on the menu, and honestly, they probably could’ve served Lunchables and I’d have still given them a four star review. Thank you for being open late the night after Christmas, thank you to the nice girl at the window for simply wanted 3 chicken sandwiches and fries, one spicy, and making it happen. The food was great, the service was quick, and you saved our night.“

“I went there last night to pick up a to go order and after sitting in line for 25 minutes and then I get to the pick up window and my order was not right. I then had to pull up and wait another 15 minutes before I got my order. This was absolutely ridiculous!!! Management needs to take a look at what is going on.“

“We were sceptical when we walked in because of outdated reviews and the dining room was empty but we walked around to the bar side and there were customers and the bartender Sidney, who was also waitressing. We talked to her and she told us to sit wherever we wanted. We chose to go into the empty dining room. She brought our menus and drinks within minutes. We acknowledged that we knew she was the only one working and she was very nice and attentive while working both rooms. We ordered the Korean fried cauliflower appetizer and OMG, it was fantastic! Fried perfectly with a sweet chili sauce that had the perfect hint of spicy.(We ate it all before the picture) We also got a reuban sandwich with the best onion rings, The chicken quesadilla which was also amazing and the Gate City Burger which was layered perfectly with 2 burgers, onions, mushrooms, cheese, bacon and bbq sauce. Plenty enough to make 2. Served with yummy french fries. Everything was so good! I'm glad we didn't form an opinion based on old reviews. I would absolutely recommend eating here. Great food, big portions, reasonable pricing and service with a smile!“

“I want to give this young Lady HUGE PROPS at Waffle House in Randleman. This girl worked the entire Restaurant all by herself! Outstanding food and service!!! She waited on everyone with a smile on her face and never once complained. “They do not honor the prices on the menu. went for taco Tuesday night , and the menu said one price , but the bill said another , we asked them to honor the prices on the menu, and were told the prices changed , so the server asked the manager and they woukd honored the menu pricing. no ...so be prepared to pay more than the menue price.2 star“

“I ordered the beef lo mein, and as the store name implies, it "taste good".
I called in my order and arrived about 10 mins after, I was quoted an oddly specific time of 7 mins. However, when I arrived I waited about 10 more mins for the food. That being said, it was fresh so I'm not complaining.
The lobby isn't what you would call inviting or necessarily clean. The menu is old printed paper with typos but they also have the classic menu at the counter. See attached pics.
They do try to distract you from the 90 health rating with a decoration hanging in front of it.“

“Im glad there is one on this side of town but My only ✨humble request/ suggestion ✨is they move this one across the street where there use to be a gas station or just somewhere on Randleman rd that would be more spacious so we don’t have to squeeze through the drive thru also it will make an even better restaurant!
