“The manger Luscero not only fixed the small mistake we had but replaced the meal I had ordered. She went above and beyond to make sure my food was done correctly as we were going through a hard time and chose to eat there to celebrate a life instead of mourn. They understood the importance of this and took care of everything. Their food is great and they are always doing things to help out the local schools and different areas for donations. It’s amazing to have a restaurant do something to take the time to be personal enough to fix a situation, though when it comes up individually like that, that takes more than good employees it takes heart and great food! This is why they are one of the only food restaurants to make it long in Dobson without closing like all the rest have because everyone knows they can be reliable.“

“Me nor my husband had eaten here since high school we came in the other night with two of our children and let’s just say anytime we’re back in mount airy we know where we will be eating. The food the service it was all great. I had the best burrito I’ve ever eaten in my life. We chose to sit outside and it was literally perfect our food was out in no time. The menu was impressive to say the least they literally have something for everyone. I wanted one of everything. I can’t wait to come back and try something else off their menu but I hope my husband or kids get the burrito so I can steal a bite 🤣I’ve worked in the restaurant industry most of my life and they have it going on here.“

“Ok so I don’t usually review stuff, but I’ve got to this time. Picture this: I walk into this place, and the first things I notice are that it’s just a simple little hole in the wall place, there’s a soccer game on tv, in Spanish, and most importantly, I am the ONLY white guy here. Just straight up surrounded by Mexican dudes in work boots. These are good signs. I have walked into an actual Mexican restaurant. Now we get to the guy behind the counter. I didn’t catch his name but dude is super friendly. Like the kind of guy who just makes it impossible to not smile while you’re talking to him. My experience up to this point is already probably enough for five stars, and we haven’t even gotten to the food yet. I ordered the birria tacos to go. Now, idk if you’ve ever gotten birria to go, but that stuff tends to get soggy like 2 minutes in. Not here. I drove these things 23 minutes home and they were still crispy. Absolutely fantastic taste, with the PERFECT level of spiciness (quick reminder, I’m white, but I’m southern. Adjust expectations accordingly). The only thing I could even slightly knock this place for was the price was a few dollars more than I’m used to paying for birria tacos, but like…they were amazing, and bigger than usual, so it evens out. If you haven’t been here yet, change that immediately“

“The staff was friendly and welcoming as soon as we walked in and our whole experience from start to finish was excellent! We tried the pasole and the caldo and both were delicious. Authentic Mexican cuisine served by wonderful people! We will definitely be back the next time we visit Elkin.“

“My fiancé and I had with no exaggeration, the best meal we have had in Mount Airy since moving here a few years ago, at Plaza Del Sol. He had the birria quesotacos (highly recommended!) and I had the California fajitas. We shared the chorizqueso appetizer and it was fantastic. The food was very well seasoned, fresh, and overall delicious. The service was fantastic, our waitress was bubbly and attentive and we were also helped by no less than three other servers just as competently. I never had to wait for a refill on my drinks! We will be back to try more menu items soon!“

“Is it authentic Mexican? No. Am I going to go there anyway because it's delicious? Yes. If you're looking for Michelin star rated tacos, this is probably isn't your place. If you're looking for somewhere to satisfy that late night craving for semi decent prices, it's pretty good.“

“This is the first restaurant I have seen lately that had a sanitation score of 💯!!! I worked fast food when I was young and I know that the job that these folks do is not easy and somehow there should be recognition and maybe even an award just for making sure you have a clean and sanitary environment that you are distributing food out of! I have traveled from Virginia to South Carolina and back in the last week and none of the other restaurants I visited had a sanitation grade of 100! I don't care if once in awhile an order gets messed up or the wrong food gets handed out to the wrong person, as human error and mistakes do happen... but SANITATION is very important and should be commended!!! BRAVO.... If I had the money of those who are rich, I would make sure that each employee at this establishment received some type of award! Perhaps that's what this world needs... A friendly competition that would give employees in food establishments a reason to improve and to take pride in what they do. I do not think that people in this field get enough recognition for the job that is expected of them, because without them... without all those people who are willing to go flip a hamburger or throw together a taco, or a🍕, all of us doing the other jobs... whether it be office work, selling a car, working on a car...or anything else at all that keeps this country moving (thank you Jesus for those folks)... Or even the moms on their way to the ballgame or cheerleading practice.... We would not have someone to flip that hamburger or throw together that taco so that we can grab a bite to eat while we RUN THE RACE!!!
