We will definitely return. Sunset, wine selection, excellent food, and top-notch service made for the perfect birthday celebration.”

“Great burgers! Wait staff was fantastic. They were also very accommodating for a shellfish allergy and used a pan on the grill and changed gloves, as to not cross contaminate.(kitchen is open, so I watched the process) Also the waiter immediately told me I wouldn’t be able to eat the fries due to cross contamination and subbed a salad for the same price. We will return on our next visit.”

“We ate here on Friday Oct. 20. Bartender was super friendly. Highly recommend the clam chowder, best we've ever had. I had the Grouper special and it great. My wife had the Tuna, was super pleased, cooked perfect and not many places get it right. They did. Chef was great to talk to. She explained a lot as we sat at the bar waiting for our food. Backyard bar was our kind of place. The band had to cancel because of rain but It would have been a great place to see one. Will go back next time we are in Duck. Thanks for a great experience.”

“We had a catered boil last night for our family of 11. Brayden came to set up, prepare the food and clean up afterwards. I cannot imagine a more personable and competent guide to the nights festivities than he. We had such a good time, the food was great and we made fast friends with Brayden!!!”

“I have been coming to the outer banks for the past 40 years. I have passed by Spanky's many times and never stopped. This past week my wife and I stopped in for lunch when we arrived at the beach and loved the food, hospitality, and price. So good we ate there again leaving the beach. Fresh made to order food, great service, and surprisingly reasonable prices. Definitely will be on our restaurant list from here on out. I just hate we never tried it before now. Great place!”

“We came here and do every year because we know the food is going to be a 10/10 ..! Today didn’t disappoint! The blue crabs were as fresh as they get! Added a 1/2 llb shrimp which was also on point. We drove from Corolla to get the best. Want to add the service is also top notch and we love the atmosphere of this little place..”

“My husband and I had 3 appetizers and the crème brûlée. Every bite was delicious. We had the lollipop lamb, oysters Rockefeller, and poutine. We enjoyed the lamb so much, we ordered it a second time. While so much on the menu looked great, we only had the appetizers and closed out with the crème brûlée (also delicious). We sat at the bar, but took note of the general ambiance and found that it would work well for couples or families. We will definitely include a meal here on our next OBX trip.”
