THE BAR staff over the years has always been completely fair, personable , and attentive. But they are also solid, will stand their ground and not take you s***. So don't be disrespectful.

“Hilltop Ice Cream in Woodfin is legit. The folks here are awesome and super friendly and always down to help you find the best flavor. Now, if you haven’t tried the goat milk cherry ice cream, you’re missing out. It’s crazy creamy, just the right amount of tart, and straight-up delicious.“

“I want to give a huge shout out to our server Alex H! Not only was the food and service excellent, but Alex went above and beyond when my sister had a fainting spell in the restaurant. He quickly brought her a cold rag with ice and chocolate chips to help her blood sugar. He was very understanding and caring and kept checking back to make sure she was ok. “We just left Eda Rhyne Distilling Company and I couldn’t resist writing a review right away. This was actually the third stop of the day after a big lunch at Red Ginger, and even though I wasn’t planning on drinking much, the diverse selection here completely pulled me in.

Iris was the highlight of our visit. She not only served us but also made us feel at home and gave us such a rich history of the distillery. The owners have a foraging background, and all of the herbs used come straight from North Carolina. Even the water here is top-notch. She shared that they had just recently reopened after Tropical Storm Helene last year, which made the experience feel even more special.

I started with a flight plus whiskey and tried the Bitter Tooth (sweet and smooth), the Appalachian Fernet, and the Rustic Nocino. The whiskey rye was impressively smooth. I loved the flight so much that I had to order an Amaro Sour, which turned out to be an absolute delight.

What’s really nice too is that this place is kid-friendly, so it feels very welcoming. Honestly, this is a spot everyone should check out while in Asheville. Stop in, take your time, and don’t leave without grabbing a bottle to bring home.“

“First time at this brewery after 5 months living in the area. There are a lot of great breweries in WNC and this one is among them. The taproom is really spacious and the outside area is even better since it’s out of town. The concert area outside looks really cool and they even have a stage inside too. The beers were quite good as well. I’m looking forward to another trip out to try some more beers!“

There is also a lovely lunch menu with Nathan's hot dogs, sandwiches, and salads. There is cozy seating indoors and lots of fun spaces outdoors to sit (or swing) while eating. This is a place that has something for anyone in your family. The staff is very kind and very helpful.“
