“The Americano was perfect as I could have my half and half(decaf/caffeinated). Drip coffee didn't offer decaf.Split a hummus sandwich with my friend. It hit the spot at a HIIT workout at the gym.Nice to sit outside by the river. Quiet and peaceful.“
“Dang so good! I drop into this spot every time I'm in Asheville. It's a must go to if you want the best Cortado in town. It's right on the river so it has a beautiful setting. The baristas really know what they're doing on a pro level.“
“We absolutely love this place. We always visit them whenever we are in Asheville. We recommend sitting at the counter. The counter will allow you to be entertained by the staff. We hung out with Derek this time. He is an amazing chef. There's nothing like watching an artist at work.“
“This is my favorite coffee shop in Asheville! I usually get a cappuccino, drip coffee, and one of the pastries and they are all fantastic. Ash always makes a perfect cappuccino with properly steamed milk.I’ll often hang out for an hour or two to work in the cozy cafe. I’ve also brought my three year old to the cafe and she thoroughly enjoyed her experience!“
“With 900+ 5-star reviews already in the books, Hole doesn't really need still another, yet here I am, piling on. Great doughnuts - near perfect mix of slightly crispy outside and airy inside. Friendly, enthusiastic service, and good coffee from a nearby roaster. Kinda cool, too, to see them being made, to order, right on front of you. Nice, non-chainey atmosphere, to boot.“
“Feb 26, 2024Cathy Reynolds WinklerVery interesting food and diverse menu offerings - fresh ingredients and layered flavors.Great chill, boho vibe and super nice people. Live in Greenville but our go to place whenever we visit Asheville. Love to bring friends & family. They're always impressed with the delicious dining experience...“
“Our first stop on our first trip to Asheville. Discovered this when looking for walkable dining from Cedar Crest Inn. If you don’t mind a little bit without sidewalks, it was an easy 20 minutes. We split a rice bowl and artichoke dip which was plenty for us and enjoyed a variety of beverages throughout. Food was great especially for a brewery, and the beer is among top-tier. Lots of seating, though outdoor was a little limited and a bit buggy by the creek in the backyard. Staff was really friendly and attentive, and the venue was fun and well kept. Hoping to make some time to come back!“
“This place is great! Great beer, Great Vibes, great views. A fabulous place to people watch, kick back and have a good time on a date night or with a group of friends. Can be chilly in the cooler times of the year since it is next to the river. Only complaint is that their hours are very inconsistent and it is a crapshoot to see if they will be open past 5pm on a FRIDAY NIGHT.“
“I got a job to feed my Rocky's Hot Chicken addiction. All jokes aside, this is the best Nashville hot chicken I have had since I was last in Nashville. The service is outstanding and the food is beyond great! I love super spicy things and their Rocky' Hot tenders hit the spot. Make sure to try the corn pudding too! 20/10 would recommend!“
“Oh my goodness, this place is absolutely delicious. Friendly staff and generous portions. I got the lonchera with ropa vieja and it was great. I have never had escabeche before and now I'm addicted! It was the perfect compliment to the savory shredded beef and rice and beans. Looking forward to trying more of their dishes!“
“Stopped here on a road trip and didn’t want to leave. Chuck, the owner, is a delight and an insanely talented artist. We had a nice chat while he prepared our lattes (which were some of the best we’d ever had), and what a delight! I’d be a regular if I didn’t live on the wrong coast.“
“This place makes an excellent martini (with blue cheese olives). It's a cool environment, somewhat crowded, but the busy-ness adds to the appeal. I think they shine more in cocktails than in food. The burger is made with American cheese, to its detriment. Burrata was good, and the table tried some small Spanish-style fish. We had another OK pasta dish as well. Less likely to return for a meal but happy to come for drinks + apps.“
“The first time here won't be our last. Absolutely great food and vibes. Really, it's an eclectic little place, West asheville vibes and all. But the food was over the top bang on delicious. Had the Gobi 65; indo-Chinese cauliflower, lightly dusted with red pepper, coriander, and fried, it has some real kick, but the cauliflower is still there, little fresh ginger sticks, jalapeños peppers, 2 dipping sauces, one Soy based and one yogurt based. What a combo. Also, the Malai chicken roll; chicken marinated in yogurt, cardamon, ginger, and garlic, wrapped in a hot buttered nann with slaw, green chutney, cilantro and onions. To die for, the combination of flavors, the quality of the ingredients all come to gather in food perfection. I don't impress easily as a creative chef myself and having traveled the world experienceing so many culinary delights. Yep, this was right up there and right in my backyard.“
“Well I am definitely surprised and loved the ginger beers. As all can tell from my reviews I drink a lot of craft beers. This is by far an excellent break from the normal beer scene and wish they were in Florida for those real hot days. Bartender made excellent recommendations. I would suggest getting flights here to get a real good idea of the varying to lavors.“
“Chaunie’s is absolutely the best place to go for coffee! I’m a daily regular that can’t get enough of the coffees and tacos. My personal favorites are the cold brew with salted caramel and house made oat milk, hot mocha, caramel lattes, and tacos. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“We love Hoppy Trees and have been regular patrons since they opened. It is by far one of favorite places to stop in and have a drink. The atmosphere is relaxed and cozy and the owner Paul is always welcoming. There is a wide array of drink options from liquor, beer, wine to non-alcoholic items for adults and kids. Snacks are available or you are welcome to bring in outside food. Love art? This is an art bar inspired by Bob Ross and the decor does not disappoint. Local artists are readily displayed throughout the space. There is even a great private room in the back for private gatherings or events. If you are a local or just visiting, I recommend stopping in and staying a while!!“
“This place is really unique. I'm not from NC, so when we saw this on yelp, we knew we had to try it out. It's really cool. The drinks are interesting and d the bartenders are super friendly! The vibe is cool if you like unique places. They had a show when we tried to go. They said we just needed to stay in a certain area and didn't charge us extra. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Asheville!“
“We decided to order everything that looked good and share it all since we were traveling through and likely can't return. We got the gnocchi (amazing) the crispy Brussels (best ever in our lives) beef cheeks (insanely tender and 10/10) pork belly (10/10) sunchokes (good but not exciting) fried chicken (perfect and the strawberry barbecue sauce was perfection!) and the schnitzel (the sauce was ISANE and a perfect dish!). Overall we LOVED this place and the prices were so reasonable! The two of us ate all we wanted and took tons of leftovers home with us. Love loves this place!“
“I was visiting my sisters and their friend in Asheville and was invited to eat at Pizza Mind. My group are all vegetarians, but I am not. They ordered personal sized pizzas with vegetarian toppings. I did get a taste of the Roasted Beets and Cauliflower pizza. It was a very good combination. I ordered the Cuban sandwich and a Caesar side salad. The dressing was authentic with anchovies. I'm not a fan of anchovies, but it was so well balanced, I really didn't mind. I ate the whole thing. The Cuban came on a really great bread. I think it was baked locally and was really fresh. The rest of the sandwich tasted good, but a little skimpy on the meats. I'm used to Florida Cuban sandwiches which are plump with meat. I would visit Pizza Mind again on my next trip to Asheville and try a pizza.“
“Parking: During certain times of the day it's hard to find parking due to most residents parking near the restaurant, there is parking across the street at the school but I wouldn't recommend parking there especially as school dismisses because you will be stuck there.Kid-friendliness: I saw school aged children and toddlers as well. Plenty of outdoor seating, I also saw a few doggos sitting outside with their humans.“
“An absolute gem. Don’t let the line deter you — service is quick and the food is 1000% worth it.We loved everything we tried! Every taco is jam-packed with flavor and comes out freshly made. Our favorites were the queso, the chicken tikka masala taco, the Korean BBQ taco & the Thai chicken taco. Too dang good.“
“Don't miss this place while in Weaverville. First off, it's small, has beautiful artwork on the walls and very clean. The service is very good with friendly staff. I had the Bistro Burger and Fries, my wife had the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with grilled Zucchini. Both of them were cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The burger is huge, see photo. In my years of looking for the best of the best burgers, this was it.“
“The folks are friendly, the live music is delightful, and the pizza is delicious. (Like, the-best-I've-ever-had incredible.)Hubby and I get the jumbo size pizza on date night and enjoy the leftovers for days!Their salads are wonderful too. This place is a true Main Street gem, and I appreciate their presence so much!“
“Walked in to hear some live music on a brief visit and snagged seats at the bar right before the band started. They were great (The John Henrys) as were the wine and beer. The vibe in this place is very comfortable and it’s easy to lose track of time in such an inviting space.“
“This place ROCKS!! I LOVE what these guys & gals are doing for our community. Their ginger beer/soda/craft cocktails are all delicious and so tasty. Check out their specialty cocktails which constantly change with the seasons. Love the large, open space surrounded by pallets of cans, making you feel truly immersed in the product. The location is great and close to everything in Asheville along with plenty of parking. Do yourself a favor and do not miss this place!“
“Barn Door is fantastic! We were warmly greeted by the owners and then they explained their ciders and menu. We got a cider flight and a cheese board. It was delightful, delicious, and everything was excellent. The ciders were interesting, flavorful, and paired well with the cheese board. The atmosphere is very peaceful and a nice retreat away from the touristy, crowded mess of downtown Asheville. Barn Door Ciderworks is Asheville's best kept secret but it should be a secret no more!“
“My wife and I happened to spot this cidery as we were walking through the South Slope area of downtown Asheville. Boy were we happy to bump into this place! A great addition to the many breweries that this area is known for.My wife is a huge fan of ciders. After trying the pick your own flight, she said this was one of the best cider experiences she has had. Sweet ciders, dry ciders, spicy ciders...you name it, they have it. In addition, they have a large assortment of beers as well for anyone who doesn't drink cider.Vibrant and fun place with super friendly staff. Add in some comfy couches, tvs, shuffleboard, pool table and a ping pong table, and you have one fun spot all the way around! Dogs are welcome inside, which is a huge bonus to any pet lover.“
“Not to sound dramatic, but I legit had the best chai I’ve ever had here and their coffee is just as amazing. The perfect accompaniment while you hunt for treasures at Tobacco Barn! The owners are awesome humans to boot. Highly recommend!“
“Enjoyed getting there at opening time to pull up to the bar and chat with the bartender and staff about liquor and cocktails and the establishment. Very cozy spot with lots of nooks and crannies to sit in and a dark academia theme that makes it look like it’s been there for over 100 years. It’s clear they care about their products and their cocktail menu and we will definitely be back again when we visit Asheville to see what’s new.“
“Rosetta’s is a delicious restaurant with a diverse menu chock full of vegan items. They also have a great selection of drinks and vegan desserts. Unfortunately, since moving to their new location, they have been getting more and more expensive. The fare stays the same but the prices get higher. The food, however, is fantastic. You’ll just feel the hit on your wallet as well as the one in your stomach!Vegetarian options: Extremely vegetarian and vegan friendly. There’s no meat on the menu!“
“This is Literally the very best pizza I have ever had in my 33 years! If you’ve ever thought to yourself you’ve already had the best pizza ever NO YOU HAVE NOT! Seriously! I was heading to a party for my rich friends and they had these pizzas laid out on the quartz countertop like a fine woman laying on Daytona beach! I got there almost 2 hrs after they had the pizzas delivered and mind you I was not drunk at all because sweet tea is cheaper and taste better than any alcoholic drink, I only bring this up to better personify how clear headed I was, I picked up one of these massive slices of pepperoni that was almost cold and once I had partaken of this heavenly slice I knew right then and there that it was THE VERY BEST PIZZA EVER!“
“If you want the best food you’ve ever had in your life, go here!!!Ask for Lee, she’s a fantastic server through and through. Very friendly and attentive. We tried everything from appetizers to desserts and EVERYTHING was top notch. Absolutely fantastic.Thank you, NINE MILE!!“
“Our first time eating here. Very nice dine in experience. The atmosphere is casual and friendly. Also have the option to dine outdoors. Food is very good and there's a wide selection. From sandwiches to pasta and pizza. Very reasonable prices. Range from $10-$20. There was three of us and it was around $54.00. I thought this to be a great deal .. Most definitely a place I would go to again and would recommend to anyone.“
“Went here last weekend. The owner was very nice. She let us try the meat and the sauce. They have family meals and individual ones. We wanted to get some of each meat to share. She made the suggestion of buying half a pound of each. We picked baked beans and Fry's. Had a choice of hush puppies or buns. Had two large sweet teas. Less than $40 before I added the tip. We ate lunch. Had supper at home and had enough left to freeze for a meal later on. Covered seating out side. Can take it with you. Worth the trip from Leicester. Great food very friendly people. Glad we found it. Will be back. Ohh one sauce is sweet. The other I think they said was sweet with a little spice.“
“This place was absolutely amazing. Went here when I was in town visiting family, and now I literally dream about the Pimpin' fried chicken sandwhich! Will definitely be going back everytime I'm in Ashville. Highest quality ingredients, friendly service, clean facility. I do however wish there was more seating options as this place definitely seems to always be packed.“
“I loved visiting this beautiful bar for their new Saturday brunch. I had the fried chicken biscuit with pimento cheese, special pickles, and salad. Chef Charlie Hodge's food always hits the spot and I can't wait to try the rest of the brunch entrees. I couldn't pass up the "Kick in the Pants" cocktail, a good brunchy type drink with coffee, cinnamon and rum. They also have a creative selection of "Zero Proof" non-alcoholic choices. If you are downtown, don't miss this brunch! The space is beautifully furnished and you can come for a big breakfast and order it all, like I did, or just enjoy a simple morning meal. Prices are reasonable and if you are lucky, like I was, having a conversation with Chef Charlie might be possible -- he is delightful! Saffron was the server that day and she was friendly, professional, and made the experience really wonderful!“
“Great coffee, pastries and to-go snacks. This was an awesome addition to Leicester but like some newer spots they aren't that busy yet. Support local! I really think the owners need to invest in better signs out front to draw in customers.“
“One of the original breweries here in town & one of my favorite breweries for beer in the country. It's a don't miss kind of thing place. Only come for the beer & people watchin. Have a great walk about the arts district or just go for a walk along the river. IMO - they make the best beer of anywhere you'll ever go.“
“My friends and I stopped in while visiting Asheville from out of state; we were greeted by Erick who was super nice and knowledgeable. He helped us figure out what we wanted and everyone was vera satisfied with what they ordered. Highly reccomend catching a vibe in the outside courtyard.“
“Amazing bar if you have dogs. This is a fenced in area to bring your dogs and enjoy an adult beverage stage. The area is fenced in and dogs run off leash and play with other dogs. No kids allowed. All dogs must have updated vaccines of rabies, bordetella, and distemper. $10 per dog per day. They offer snacks at bar and have a food truck off to the side. Parking is free in an area outside the establishment. If you have a friend dog, this is a must! Great place! Also has a dog wash station.“
“Stopped by for a couple of beers on Saturday. It's a brewery with a taproom. Taproom is a pretty cool space with all kinds of options for seating from barstools to comfy couches.Very clean and welcoming and inviting space. The taproom is upstairs above the brew floor so you can check out the beer making process while enjoying your drinks. A tv had college basketball on so we were able to enjoy our team playing ball while we drank our beers.Bartender was helpful and quite nice.“
“There is nothing like this anywhere its the kinda place where transgender couples hang out on. A Sunday on the back deck with church folk. No one has a pole up where the sun doesn't shine. Neurodivergent heaven be a good model for the rest of the country lotsa great dogs that are like full “
“Full transparency: my husband and I originally came here to order some pastries, especially after seeing how delicious they looked online. Unfortunately, they had already run out by the time we arrived. We didn't want to leave empty handed, so we both decided to try one of their drinks. My husband ordered a hot chocolate and I ordered a brown butter chai latte. My latte was super creamy and had a nice buttery flavor at the end. It was divine! I do hope to return soon and try some pastries next time.“
“This place is a rare gem. It’s unique and quirky in a world of sameness. The raised, lounge area is sunny and comfortable and a great place to sip a coffee, work, or play.My son loves the free video games and gluten free doughnuts. They have some of the best prices on vintage albums in the city and an eclectic offering of cute, funky, and fun toys and collectibles. The place also serves as a kind of community center and hosts all kinds of events from movies and game nights, to open mic nights, all displayed on a huge Chalkboard calendar. It’s homey and real feeling and a refreshing respite from hipster cafes with pretentious baristas charging $7 for a cup of foam.We have a lot of lgtbq safe spaces in this city, which this place definitely is, but where can nerds go to feel safe? The answer is the Elder Dragon, aka, The Nerd Dungeon.Dietary restrictions: Gf doughnutsKid-friendliness: Kids are welcome and love this place.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level, no steps“
“In Asheville to get married and everyone suggested Posana. They were right! The cuisine was perfection in every regard, and the staff made our night even more special with champagne, tasting spoons, and even a signed card! Highly recommend for a top notch dining experience.“
“Arrived with little to no wait. Our host Miriam was kind and took care of our order. Jon provided us tips on what we should order as it all sounded delicious! We ordered the GSW rice bowl added brisket( you can add multiple choice of meat to any dish including tofu for additional cost). The bowl came with a variety of fresh sweet and tangy toppings as well as sweet soy & mayo. The bowl was very filling neither of us could finish. We also ordered the Japanese fries…. These are hands down(deep down to the last one in the big bowl they are served in)delicious with the seasoning they top them with then dipping them in the spicy mayo and sweet soy on the side makes them even better. They have a fine crisp crunchy outside and soft fluffy potato center-my favorite texture in my opinion as it’s well balanced.Dietary restrictions: They offer vegan and gluten sensitive items provided knowledge on menuParking: There is street parking and a small lot that’s connected to the other side(pizza mind).“
“I stopped in today to try their pizza for lunch. I order a cheese as well as a Margherita pizza (wanted to take a pie home for the family to try). On Mondays they include a beer with the purchase of a cheese pizza or burger. It's too bad I was on the clock. Anyhow - Both pizzas were delicious, but the Margheritawas superior. Definitely an American take on Neapolitan style pizza. Do yourself a favor and find a reason to try their homemade ranch! That shiz should be bottled and sold everywhere! I will definitely be back with the wife to try some other menu items and beers. Cheers!“
“Simply put, this venue was the best ever. The staff is exceptional. They went above and beyond to be as accommodating as possible for my wife and I because of our health issues. They truly made this night incredible! The stage and seating/standing room is small, which just makes the experience more intimate and amazing. There is a Taqueria inside which makes some of the most amazing, authentic food I've ever had. I would have seriously driven from Spartanburg South Carolina just to eat here! I know that I will be coming back as often as I can! I'd very highly recommend that if you want to have a magical night out with excellent food and music from the best staff around, you've got to come here!“
“We had such a great time! We were in town to see Biltmore and hike the Pisgah Forest and were looking for some live music. We started at the guitar bar at the other end of the building, but it was way too crowded and not what we were looking for. We heard the music from this place and wandered in. The band Binz was amazing and so much fun, the place is fun and funky and cozy with lots of art on the walls, and everybody was really friendly. And a guy came in with three big dogs that went around and said hi to everybody! The only thing is, we almost missed it because it was not on any of my Google searches!“
“What a find.. I am celiac and also allergic to dairy and soy. Their gluten free options are amazing. I had a coconut Matcha latte that was so yummy. My husband thought the coffee was outstanding. We’ll definitely be back!Dietary restrictions: Gluten, dairy and soy“
