“This was amazing! The pizza is so good, the staff is so nice, and the atmosphere is just pleasant to be around! We got a cheese, pepperoni and goat cheese-fig-bacon-pizza. They were to die for! There was a small band playing which was also nice. We decided to sit outside and it was very nice as well. The bathrooms were clean, the staff is polite, and the pizza is good. We WILL be coming back!“

“Artisan is so much fun. They have so much to look at and buy. It has a wide range of gifts for a loved one, a special treat for yourself or better yet both. They have jewelry, crafts, woodworking, puzzles, books, pins, dish towels, art, and so much more. Most of it is local and hand made. They also have a great menu. They have tons of coffee and ice cream choices for everyone. There are several couches and chairs to sit and enjoy your new favorite flavor of ice cream or whatever yummy treat you choose. This is a must visit spot if you are in the area.“

The kava tender who worked tonight was quick, efficient and friendly and the beverages are priced reasonably well as with the quality is excellent. “We live just north of the village and come here often. Love Yellow Mug! Order at the counter, find a table indoors or out, they will find you when your food is ready. Terrific fresh-ground coffee, creative breakfasts, sandwiches, salads (I love The One with Quinoa and Butternut Squash—yes, that is its name). Very fresh food, veg/vegan and GF options, beer and wine, excellent wifi….one of our favorite places!!!“

“We passed by Wagbar on our way to our Airbnb and just knew we had to visit. So many happy dogs playing, my dog was anxious to join everytime we passed by. I love that they take being up to date on vaccines serious. We were greeted by what I called the "Welcome committee" consisting of 3 huge golden retrievers. Got inside, ordered a few drinks and set Stash free. He was right away accepted into the group of dogs playing and shown around. Not only were all the dogs friendly and very social, but their owners were as well. Great conversations were had. Absolutely recommend this place. The employee working that day(can't remember her name) was amazing with the dogs. She took notice anytime the dogs were "bored". She would come out and entice them to play around. Hilarious seeing the regulars reaction to her approach because they KNEW what was up haha! Can't wait to visit again when we are in town.“

“The wine is only part (but a very good part!) of the reason I would highly recommend a stop by the lovely Addison Farms vineyard. The country setting is peaceful and beautiful and made for a perfect afternoon sitting on the cozy porch looking over the vineyards. We enjoyed a DIY cheese plate of fresh, local products packed in an adorable picnic basket with the necessary implements to enjoy it. The bar tender was kind, informative, and added to the air of peacefulness of the surroundings. The owner stopped by our table to thank us for coming out--what a nice gesture. Just a short drive from Asheville--we will be back!“

“Great food, service, & beer selection! The fried pepperoni & cheese curds were delicious. My wife liked the firecracker shrimp Alfredo, but said it had some spice. The Greek platter was amazing as well. I got the combination to try both the lamb & chicken. The chicken tasted like souvlaki & was good, but I favored the lamb. I typically would order an old fashioned, but they did not have large blocks of ice. Given what Helene’s impact on western NC, I was happy to see this restaurant thriving & folks in good spirit. This place is a gem for the community, and I highly recommend.“

“We had an excellent experience at Salt Face Mule! Our bartender, Kennedy, provided outstanding service. She was friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. The food was fantastic too, fresh and full of flavor. Highly recommend stopping by! I got the blueberry waffles and added fried chicken to it.“

“Our New Year's Eve dinner at the Glass Onion was fabulous, as expected. We're new to the area and this was our second dinner at the restaurant. We started with tuna tartare, Caesar salad and the yummy complimentary rolls. I had the delicious lobster ravioli entree and my husband had the rib eye steak. Both were wonderful. We agreed that we will be regulars at Glass Onion!“

“Excellent! Off the beaten path in a small (the best kind) beautiful WNC mountain town. It is out of the way for us so we can't get there as often as we would like.
The most enjoyable way to get there for us is via the Blue Ridge Parkway.
We enjoyed the one in Biltmore for years. Sadly, it is no longer there.
