“This is such a unique place, my son comes to the Pokemon trainer academy, a really neat event that engages kids and teaches them how to play a game. As a parent with no knowledge of Pokemon or this type of gaming the that staff is so friendly and welcoming always willing to answer my 101+ questions, Storm specifically gets the most of my confusion and she is so nice you can tell she loves her job and connecting with the patrons. The coffee shop is great too with all kinds of unique concoctions that there is something forever, the coffee is good (this matters so much as a coffee drinker). I’ve shared with friends and plan to share game on to the moms group I’m in, as much as I love it being a hidden gem, it’d be selfish not to share it.”

“I went around 8ish. We went upstairs and our drink order was taken then we waited about 15-20 for the waitress to take our food order after we stopped her and asked could we order. The drinks were ok as I had two and had not even a buzz and I’m a super light weight but the flavor was there. The Dj was very good and played music from all genres. I ordered the Rasta pasta and it was sweet and very spicy. The look of it wasn’t appetizing so I asked could I send it back. The young lady told me she would have the other cook remake it and I was fine with that. It took around 20 mins and she came back with it in a to go container and said are y’all paying together or separate? I was like oh I guess we’re leaving. She said well someone reserved the table so…I said oookkk so can we sit somewhere else? She said if you want to sure. But didn’t tell us where we could sit. We ended up just paying and leaving which sucked because we were excited to finally be able to come and see what the buzz was about. Like why you mad cause I sent the food back. She was cool up until that point. I’m not gonna judge the establishment based on her actions but the first impression means a lot.”

I’ve been a sushi man for a long time, but this was my first experience with a poke bowl. You see, I have Alpha-Gal Syndrome, which makes me allergic to all mammal meats and byproducts. Yes, I am allergic to beef, pork, dairy, etc.

To make matters worse, I travel for work. Every week I am on the road averaging 1,000-1,500 miles.

Since my diagnosis 7 months ago, I have had to be very careful where I eat. Simplicity and availability have limited me to 2-3 restaurants. Needless to say, those restaurants got old…FAST!

So, I decided to try something new tonight and, man, am I glad I did! The young man behind the counter, “Z”, took excellent care of me. He listened to my allergy concerns and helped me pick out something I could have. He suggested three of the hottest sellers. He even made several trips to the back to read labels on various products.

I hope Poki Bowl is taking great care of “Z”…because he’s sure taking great care of customers!

“We went on Valentines Day evening and even though it was insanely busy, we received excellent service from both the bar and from our server at our table.
We went to the bar first since we had a bit of a wait before we got seated. The bartenders were very friendly. I had a delicious Coconut Mojito. The kids had Virgin Piña Coladas.
Our food was amazing! We started with the Chicken Tostones. I love plantains so that hit the spot. For dinner, I had the Jerk Chicken Pineapple Bowl. I would order that a million more times! It was one of my favorite things I've ever had at a restaurant and was so big I made 2 meals out of it. I LOVED IT! My husband had Blackened Mahi Tacos and loved them! The kids had the Grilled Salmon and Coconut Shrimp Tacos. A big hit with both of them. We had the Chocolate Island for dessert. VERY VERY GOOD!

“Went to Hibachi Express this evening. Ordered the Steak and Shrimp Hibachi to go. The inside eating area appeared to be very clean. The workers very also very presentable. The kitchen from what you can see looks clean and neat. The food came with 2 side cups of Yum Yum sauce, choice of soup or salad. I got the soup (Miso). The soup was delicious and I could tell it was made fresh. The Hibachi was excellent. Their was more then enough Steak and Shrimp, I was actually expecting less meat then what was portioned. The vegetables onions, carrots, broccoli, zucchini was fresh, the Hibachi rice was cooked extremely well and had great taste. Whe sitting down eating this I got full half way threw and still found myself craving the taste. Will be back.”

“To be fair this was a visit for free cookie vouchers on Valentine’s Day, the wait was long and the order was somewhat incorrect but it was in my favor. They gave me an extra cookie. I did see a few orders from other that were wrong too but the staff immediately addressed the issue and fixed it while I was waiting for mine. Great cookies but I wish they had lower calorie options. Overall great business and good staff!”
