“This place was fantastic. From the decor to the frozen yogurt 10 out of 10. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our son has a severe egg allergy and the young lady working was very informative on what we needed to avoid. The name is perfect. Reel for fishing and swirly for the Hatteras light house! Can’t wait to return“

“The young man working all alone tonight was amazing. I didn’t get his name, but dark hair and foreign accent. There were probably 20 people in line when we arrived. He served each of them efficiently and with a smile. When we were up to order, the owner decided to show up and take over. Fine, except that when he did, he started berating the young employee for “getting into this situation”. The only situation was the fact that he was left alone with a large volume of customers. We were really turned off by the owner’s behavior.“
“ordered a milkshake. no price listed on board. the small shake (I'd say 16 or 20 oz.) was $9.00. the shake was very liquidy and had little to no flavor. It was more like slightly flavored milk. definetly not worth the money.“

“Honestly one of the most underrated places to eat in OBX. My wife and I most always make it a point to eat at Fatty’s. The food is fantastic and the staff have always been alert and friendly. Truthfully a great place to eat!“

“Our favorite coffee shop on Hatteras Island. Service is amazing and friendly. Coffee and baked goods delicious. Although the interior may not have the coziness of some coffee shops, the atmosphere is open with plenty of space to take in the local art or get a little work done (if you do that kinda thing in Avon).“

“The only way you can go wrong here is by not stopping by and buying one of the best treats on the island. We love this place. It is a must for us when we are on vacation in Hatteras. The owner is the sweetest and its a bonus to spend sometime with her.“
